This thread is for the Mumsnetters who have been trying Little Dish chilled toddler meals and their new range of My First Pizzas.

Here’s what Little Dish say, “When Hillary was expecting her first baby, she realised that you couldn’t buy healthy, home-cooked style meals for toddlers and young children in the shops. She set out to create a range of delicious, nutritious food made from 100% natural ingredients…and so Little Dish was born. Nearly 10 years on, we’re proud to feed around 100k little ones every week. Every Little Dish toddler meal is perfectly nutritionally balanced for a 1 to 3 year old –providing a source of protein and at least 1 portion of veg, low in salt, with no added sugar, additives or preservatives. Our new My First Pizzas are not only delicious (as approved by our Tiny Tasters) – they also provide 1 portion of veg each, contain 35% less salt than the average children’s chilled pizza and of course have no added sugar, additives or preservatives.”

Below are a few questions for you to answer about trying Little Dish meals and pizzas with your DCs – feel free to add any other thoughts you may have though, we’d love to hear them.

  • What was your overall impression of Little Dish meals?

Hello - got ours, but one had open/broken packaging so I won't use that one. Do I need to note it as it won't get feedback?

We got ours today. Looking forward to trying them out :)

My parcel arrived, my little girl tried the cheese & tomato pizza almost immediately! She ate it all, which is amazing as she's extremely fussy! Personally I thought it was a little bland, but I assume that's because I'm used to bigger more tastier pizza and this was specifically designed for kids, i.e. less salt etc. Love the packaging, clear and colourful. Nice size too, just right. Would definitely recommend to friends, not sure she'll eat the other two flavours yet but here's hoping :) Currently have the fish pie in for her dinner :)

We've just got home from nursery and about to try one of the pizzas! There was no info in the parcel, so do I just leave my feedback on this thread??

Mine arrived today in a terrible state, all smashed and squashed. The sauces were all over the box and nothing is edible....

Have had the meatball pizza and fish pie already! Gone down a storm with my rather fussy eater.

My son's meals arrived just after midday. They were packaged really well. I especially like the fact you included a cool bag and little spoon with the meals Smile

The box it arrived in, had a notice on it, saying to ring the doorbell and if no answer, then to leave on the doorstep, which I thought was a little odd!? Especially as we don't have a doorbell Blush

Anyway, first impressions are good! Lovely colourful packaging. I like how there are little named animals on the front, with their favourite foods mentioned.

Now to decide which to give my son for his tea... Grin x

I didn't know I'd been picked so that was a great surprise this morning! Ds is eating the meatball pizza as we speak. He says it tastes nice and is on his last piece. Definitely a thumbs up. Happy with the portion size. The other meals look great too!

We are on the chicken and pesto pizza, and even after having tea at nursery, it is being eaten at speed. I am also being told that it is scrummy, which is high praise indeed!

We are having chicken curry for dinner and DS is looking forward to having his own Little Dish version. I will report back later with how he gets on.

I was impressed with the packaging, it looks appealing. Love the spoon! DS was very happy with that.

Even though we don't usually buy ready meals these are something I would consider having in, just in case (if his lordship likes them that is).

Found out dp had accepted the delivery so we do have our little dishes (luckily amazing packing and a chillier day meant they still look and feel cold) and are poised to give feedback when we start testing them!

One of the gel packs had exploded all over the packaging so im a bit concerned whether to use the products. They also didn't feel that cold. I received 8 meals and 4 pizzas did others have the same?

Received and dd is delighted with her "dinners" Grin

We had 5 meals and 3 pizzas to try.

One meal down and dd declared it "very yummy!". It was the pasta in bolognaise sauce.

Will complete feedback once she's worked her way through them all. You're only getting a photo if I can name change!
