This thread is for the 30 MNers trying out the Mobile by Sainsbury's service.

Below are the questions we'd like testers to answer but please feel free to add your own comments too.

  • How easy was the setup process?
  • How do you find the signal coverage? Is it reliable? Have you had any issues with this?
  • How has your family been using the service? i.e. is it you or your DC/DP who has the handset? How useful have you/they found the Mobile by Sainsbury's service?
  • Which services have you/ your DC/DP used most – calls, texts or data?
  • How have you/your DC/DP found the Y330? Did it impress you, given its budget price?
  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend this network to your friends or not?
  • Would you recommend the Y330 as a first smartphone, or not?

Everyone who was part of the test and who adds their feedback will be entered into a prize draw where one winner will get a £200 Sainsbury's giftcard as a thank you.

Thanks,

First of all, a huge thank you for letting us take part in this trial. I hadn't owned a smartphone before, so I still feel we've a long way to go before we discover all this smartphone offers!

The set up process was easy with good step by step instructions

The signal coverage was good. We do sometimes struggle with mobile coverage as we love in quite a rural area, but so far no problems.

We have used texts, calls and internet, and the children have played the odd game. Although we have all had a go, we have decided it will be my 10 year old daughter who has eventual use of the phone. It is her 11th birthday next week, and she is delighted. She thinks it's very stylish, and we think the Mobile by Sainsburys service is good. I do think we'll tend to use it on a pay as you go basis though, as I'm terrified of youngsters running up huge phone bills!

So far we have used the phone for texts more than anything else. It will mostly be used for texts and calls as the girls have ipod touches which they use for accessing the internet at home.

I would recommend this network. I think it offers competitive prices, and I like the Caroline. As a Sainsburys shopper I think the extra Nectar points is a great plus point, and already I have found myself popping into Sainsburys rather than other stores, purely because of this.

I would recommend this Smartphone to friends and particularly those buying their first smartphone, including youngsters. Personally I'm not someone who feels they have to buy the most well known brands. Not sure whether the teen/young adult market would agree, but I think they'd be silly not to at least consider this phone.

The only thing missing is a info leaflet with the phone explaining everything the phone offers. As someone not familiar with smartphones I feel I could do with a guide to all its functions /uses to make sure I'm using it to it's full potential.

My dd is doing the testing and so far she reports

  1. Set up - apparently quite easy and straightforward
  2. Signal coverage- had a slight hitch getting it to connect to the Internet when we were shopping on Tuesday but aside from that no problems with calls or texts
  3. As stated previously dd is doing the test and she is quite happy with it at the moment ,will report further at a later date
  4. Texts and data have been used most .
  5. Quite impressed with the handset ,personally I thought that being a budget phone it would be flimsy and it is not at all . Screen is not a bad siže
  6. I actually have not looked into the ins and outs of the network and costs yet ,I did connect it to my nectar card .
  7. As a first smartphone I think it's pretty good and at least you wouldn't be too concerned about it being lost/ stolen as it's such a competitive price . It certainly doesn't look like a cheap phone.( to me)

Thanks for letting us test this item .

I really like it. I wanted it for me to try out, because we have a contract for a set number of phones that get replaced every two years, and I always get the old unwanted abandoned ones which are not necessarily in the best condition. However DD is really impressed with it.

There are no instructions on how to get it started and as we were used to phones where you either hold the green button or swipe it to one side to answer a call, that got us a bit confused. She was miffed that I, a mere oldie, worked out before she did that you have to swipe the lock button to the green button to be able to take a call.

Otherwise getting started couldn't have been simpler. The whole thing is so quick and easy to use.

The signal coverage is far better. I could only make a call from upstairs standing on my bed before and had to leave my old phone on a chair on the bed if I was expecting a call. I still have to be upstairs, but it works anywhere up there so no more clambering up on a chair or the bed!

We have both used it, me probably more than her for calls but her more than me for accessing the internet. Few texts so far. Voice mail is easy to answer too.

We were both very impressed. As she usually chooses phones that cost well over £100, it was good for her to see what was available. She says I can keep this one - so kind - but that when hers dies she may well just go for one of these, as she will worry less about it being broken or stolen when she goes out. And that, that way, she need no longer ask for phones for her birthday and can have something else instead!

I have already recommended it to several people. Everything on it is so much quicker and easier to do.

Was also a bit worried when I got marketing voicemails from Sainsbury's, but there was an option to stop them, which I took. I was thinking I would be inundated with offers but was very happy when I realised I didn't have to suffer that!

How easy was the setup process?

Really really easy. I am a complete technophobe and I found it straightforward. Much easier than my previous Samsung tbh.

  • How do you find the signal coverage? Is it reliable? Have you had any issues with this?

Funnily enough, my MIL is on Vodaphone and has always complained about the coverage in our house and village. However, I know some work has recently been done and I'm getting a better signal than I do with Orange/EE... I took it to a remote village for my dd's ballet lesson and could text and call, whereas usually I'm completely cut off when I'm there. I am impressed Smile

  • How has your family been using the service? i.e. is it you or your DC/DP who has the handset? How useful have you/they found the Mobile by Sainsbury's service?

So far, it's being shared between me, my dh and dd(11), with it staying with me during the weekdays. Service seems good so far - early days. Data runs consistently and nice and fast.

  • Which services have you/ your DC/DP used most – calls, texts or data?

We've mainly used lots of data - dd on Instagram and surfing the net.
A bit of texting, we have what's app, not made many calls yet - infact struggled to work out how to answer calls...

  • How have you/your DC/DP found the Y330? Did it impress you, given its budget price?

Yes pretty impressed so far. For what it should cost, it seems good value for money.

  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend this network to your friends or not?

For this area yes.

  • Would you recommend the Y330 as a first smartphone, or not?

Yes definitely.

Thank you for letting us try it!

Firstly, thank you so much for selecting us to test this - it was a lovely surprise to get the phone through the postSmile

HOW EASY WAS IT TO SET UP?
It was incredibly easy - just followed the onscreen instructions.

HOW DO YOU FIND THE SIGNAL COVERAGE
No problems so far.

HOW HAS THE FAMILY BEEN USING THE SERVICE?
I have given it to my DD (age 12) to use. It is her first year in high school and to date she has been using an old phone of mine.

WHICH SERVICES HAVE YOU USED MOST?
She uses text messaging - always to tell me when she has got on/off the school bus and to keep in touch with friends. She has downloaded some apps and uses the Internet whilst out and about. Has not used it to make a call.

HOW HAVE YOU FOUND THE Y330?
Think for the price point it is a good smart phone. My DD covets an iPhone but at the price she will not be getting one - it wouldn't be quite so dreadful if this phone got lost /damaged at this price. The screen is a good size and is very responsive to the touch. DD disappointed with no front facing camera and poor quality pictures but not a concern to me - i just want her to have a reliable phone to stay in touch when she is out on her own.

WOULD YOU RECOMMEND THIS NETWORK?
Yes, definitely - really like the fact I can earn Nectar points as Sainsbury's is where i do my main shopping. Also like the fact it is Pay as You Go, so I know exactly what has been spent and there is no chance of exceeding a limit.

WOULD YOU RECOMMEND Y330 AS A FIRST SMART PHONE
Yes, absolutely Smile. Reasonably priced whilst still looking stylish.

Thank you again - it really has been a pleasure Flowers

How easy was the setup process?

Very easy, after installing the sim card and battery the phone was ready to go.

  • How do you find the signal coverage? Is it reliable? Have you had any issues with this?

So far signal has been fantastic with no problems at all

  • How has your family been using the service? i.e. is it you or your DC/DP who has the handset?

I am the one who has claimed the phone as my own because as said above I usually end up with the old phone when OH upgrades.

How useful have you/they found the Mobile by Sainsbury's service?

Up to now, very useful. I haven't had to top up yet but will update when I have, although it will be after the test period.

  • Which services have you/ your DC/DP used most – calls, texts or data?

The children have used it to play games but I have mainly used it for calls and texts, I will test the internet outside home later today as we use the home broadband to access the internet at home.

  • How have you/your DC/DP found the Y330? Did it impress you, given its budget price?

The phone is a great little handset, really good quality for the price

  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend this network to your friends or not?

Yes definitely, the bundles seem very good value, getting a lot for your money

  • Would you recommend the Y330 as a first smartphone, or not?

I would, definitely! The only thing that I would criticise it on it the fact it doesn't have a front facing camera. That really doesn't matter to me but we had in fact bought one of these phones for one of the children over the summer, it had been advertised as having a FFC (not at Sainsbury's I hasten to add). She absolutely loved the phone but, after a week of her attempting to take 'selfies' that weren't up to scratch, she insisted on taking it back and changing it because it had been mis advertised. Other than that as I said, it is a great little handset and I would recommend it.

.How easy was the setup process?
Fairly simple although it was 10 year old DD doing it and she got a little frustrated after it was set up trying to work out how to change layout but think that was because she's used to Apple products. A basic leaflet book showing navigational buttons and how to set pin etc would have been helpful as took me a while to help her find it (and I still don't understand the optimisation icon)

  • How do you find the signal coverage? Is it reliable? Have you had any issues with this?

Really good apart from in laws house but tbh all signal there is hit and miss (she did abuse their wifi though and connect phone with relative ease!)

  • How has your family been using the service? i.e. is it you or your DC/DP who has the handset? How useful have you/they found the Mobile by Sainsbury's service?

Mainly 10 year old DD as this is a practice for when she goes to secondary school. I have been playing with it in the evenings (whilst snooping what she has been up to on it)

  • Which services have you/ your DC/DP used most – calls, texts or data?

Texts and data (although a lot of that has been wifi ) she's made a few calls to grandparents but been very conscious of how long she's been on it (is there an easy way to check how minutes are left as I think she is worrying that she'll go over as concept of 800 minutes passed her by!)

  • How have you/your DC/DP found the Y330? Did it impress you, given its budget price?

Yes for the price it does exactly what it says on the box, looks smart and stylish and she has been very happy to show it off to friends and family. I have put a memory card in as the memory went very quickly with all the games and photos she downloaded and took

  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend this network to your friends or not?

Yes good value package especially with data/unlimited texts/calls would only ever really be to me to let me know if she had missed bus so not over concerned about those but that may change when she goes to secondary school (and finds the time to have hours of pointless conversations about nothing ha ha) Yes and we will continue on a PAYG service as easy way to control expenditure. I must remember to register my nectar card as always a bonus to get the points!

  • Would you recommend the Y330 as a first smartphone, or not?

Definitely great value, long battery life, fairly simple to use and allows her to use the parts of the internet we allow with some freedom (I fibbed and told her if she deleted anything I could still see it as this is an introduction to being mobile/online and we had to introduce lots of rules about what is and is not acceptable) The only downside is she's desperate for a case for it and I am struggling to find one to fit and she loves to take selfies with friends but struggling as can't flip the camera round so we have had lots of half head photos! Think they gave up and asked tears to take the photos in the end! i love the fact that should she drop it/damage it/something happen to it I could replace at a reasonable cost and although I would be cross at her inability to look after things (looks at my iPhone screen that was 'accidentally' dropped)

How easy was the setup process? - It was really simple but I managed to balls it up by assuming the sim card would be the small version and took it out the larger bit, shoved it in and lost it! A man at a mobile shop took it out and I replaced it. The internet connection was really easy and setting up my nectar card and choosing a package was done online and was straightforward and quick.

  • How do you find the signal coverage? Is it reliable? Have you had any issues with this?- So far the coverage has been fine, plenty of signal at home where it can be tricky and my son has been out and about with it and I have had no problem calling him and getting through.

  • How has your family been using the service? i.e. is it you or your DC/DP who has the handset? How useful have you/they found the Mobile by Sainsbury's service? My DC has used it the most and although he says its a brick ( 13 with attitude) he has used it to download apps, play games, send messages and I have called him on it. The kids have scrapped over it a bit so it has been declared a family phone with equal rights to access! It has been great having a phone my DC can take out which I am able to contact him on easily and which I am not worried about him getting mugged for.

  • Which services have you/ your DC/DP used most – calls, texts or data?
  • How have you/your DC/DP found the Y330? Did it impress you, given its budget price? - I am impressed given it's budget price as it seems to do everything a more expensive phone would do, My DC has downloaded a load of games and apps and it is in danger of running out of space but that is the only negative so far.

  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend this network to your friends or not? Yes I would especially as the bundles seem good value and easy to add and there seems to be good signal coverage round here.

  • Would you recommend the Y330 as a first smartphone, or not? - Yes definitely I think it is perfect for kids and teens as it has all the internet access, apps, and games they like, its not expensive to buy or use and kids can take it out when they go out and if they lost it or broke it it wouldn't be the end of the world and like I said already older kids or adults are less likely to mug a young kid for this phone.

Thanks MN and Sainsbury's for letting us test.

  • How easy was the setup process?

Really easy. It took just a few minutes, was simple and straightforward.

  • How do you find the signal coverage? Is it reliable? Have you had any issues with this?

It's been fine, which is good as people always comment on the lack of signal in my village. An hour at my house is usually enough to drain a battery as the phone tries to pick up a signal but this has not been an issue.

  • How has your family been using the service? i.e. is it you or your DC/DP who has the handset? How useful have you/they found the Mobile by Sainsbury's service?

DD (11) has claimed this phone as her own, even though she has a Nokia Lumia. She likes it a lot and has been taking it to school (mostly to take pics on the bus). Apparently it is a cool phone and not shaming.

  • Which services have you/ your DC/DP used most – calls, texts or data?

All- Snapchat, Instagram, FB, text, email, websurfing and even a call!
DD had said she will try Netflix and YouTube and get back to me...

  • How have you/your DC/DP found the Y330? Did it impress you, given its budget price?

Really impressed, it looks a lot more expensive and DD is happy to show it off. It also means that if anything happens to it it won't be the end of the world. DD's friend dropped her iPhone down a toilet last week and a replacement will cost a fortune!

  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend this network to your friends or not?

I probably would, especially with the link to Nectar.

  • Would you recommend the Y330 as a first smartphone, or not?

I already have! Would make a great first Smartphone for a good price. Christmas is coming...

How easy was the setup process?

Very easy, totally straightforward.

  • How do you find the signal coverage? Is it reliable? Have you had any issues with this?

It connects to our WiFi really easily, and I've used it on supermarket and train company's wifi too without any problems at all.

Our internet went down while I was testing the phone, and while my husband's phone was still able to call up webpages etc. the Sainsbury's phone only managed once, and that was beyond slow. I've never had a smartphone before, so I don't know if I've messed up the settings somehow, but the phone really struggled when using mobile data in the house.

- How has your family been using the service? i.e. is it you or your DC/DP who has the handset? How useful have you/they found the Mobile by Sainsbury's service?

We've all had a go.
We've downloaded a few apps from the PlayStore, and when using wifi, it was very quick and easy.

We have a supermarket delivery app, Skype, Spotify, and a TV thing on there and they work brilliantly.

I've watched TV shows on the handset with no problems, the picture quality is excellent.

  • Which services have you/ your DC/DP used most – calls, texts or data?

We've mainly used it for apps and the internet. I've sent a few texts and made calls to test it, and they were trouble free.

  • How have you/your DC/DP found the Y330? Did it impress you, given its budget price?

Someone on the other thread said you could get the handset for about £40, which would seem very reasonable.

I wouldn't pay more, or buy it on contract, due to the mobile data connection issues I mentioned.

As a first smartphone, on pre-pay, I'd say it's ideal. It does enough for me to consider it an ideal emergency/family use phone.

I could cope with losing it to a mugger for example, and would buy the same phone again if it was broken or lost.

  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend this network to your friends or not?

If you'd mainly be using wifi for internet stuff, then I think there would be no issue at all. I'm really disappointed about the mobile data thing though.

Unlimited texts with the 'Bundle' pre-pay options are terrific, but I wouldn't rely on the network as a replacement for a landline/internet connection. Am I boring people with my mobile data connectivity issues yet? Grin

The pre-pay bundles are great for capping usage by children/teenagers though, and warding off insane bills. You get quite a lot for a reasonable price.

  • Would you recommend the Y330 as a first smartphone, or not?

Yes, for the price, it's amazing.
It has no front camera, so not ideal for Skype calls, but fine for messaging.

The touch screen seems responsive, I've used tablets in the £100 range that had much less responsive screens.

The battery doesn't seem to last long though, even with wifi turned off.

Music sounds great on it, and the radio is crystal clear.

I named my phone Bartholomew, bought a little blue case for it to live in, and I pick it up just to admire it now and again. I fully intend to buy him a little Christmas hat like this => Xmas Grin.

I do somehow feel safer for having it around, as it does loads. Little Barty, hub of the house.. Blush.

I'm going to buy an SD card, and the children want to try downloading Minecraft, that will be the real test! Need to buy Google Playstore credit first.

  • How easy was the setup process?

I found the set up very easy and straight forward, after it had been on charge a while the whole set up process took 15minutes.
  • How do you find the signal coverage? Is it reliable? Have you had any issues with this?

The signal coverage where from my home is BRILLIANT - I have had issue after issue with orange coverage within my home and was doubtful that this would be any different due to being told it was problems with me not living near a phone mass....... now I know they must have been lying because I have had no interruptions with my signal, no phone calls being cut short. It has been great to sit on my sofa and been able to use my mobile.
  • How has your family been using the service? i.e. is it you or your DC/DP who has the handset? How useful have you/they found the Mobile by Sainsbury's service?

I started off using the mobile whilst I was playing around with it and figuring it out then my DS aged 12 has took it upon himself to download apps on it and use it for his own purpose. he thinks it is great he can download everything that he would on a iphone and play all the games that he would. He has watched some videos and the quality is brilliant and used it to take photos which I think are good quality. I think having a brand that is as trusted as sainsburys gives you that added insurance that should you have any problems that you will be looked after and not just ignored. I also think that the prepaid bundle is a good way to ensure that DS does not build up a huge phone bill at the end of the month and knowing that he has unlimited texts and the minutes means that he will always be able to call me from where ever he is.
  • Which services have you/ your DC/DP used most – calls, texts or data?

I have used it to make phone calls and texts and found this simple and easy to do, DS is more used to the watts app and messaging that us mums just aren't cool enough to use....lol, so he is making the most of the data allowance when he is away from the wifi.
  • How have you/your DC/DP found the Y330? Did it impress you, given its budget price?

when I first took the phone out of the box it felt really plastic and cheap and I was a little doubtful that this phone would be for me or my DS but it is a brilliant phone, especially for those on a budget. It does EVERYTHING that you want it to do you can get all the apps that you would on a £600 phone so I don't feel the need to spend so much money when this does the same.
  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend this network to your friends or not?

Yes defiantly, I love the bundle package and the fact that it comes without a monthly contract that you are tied into. The network coverage is the best that I have ever been able to get within my home and the fact that Sainsburys is a well known trusted brand that prides itself on customer services makes me feel good about it.
  • Would you recommend the Y330 as a first smartphone, or not?

Yes I would, especially the parents that I know that have children the same aged as my DS. Why pay silly amounts of money for an iphone when they can have a phone that does the same thing for a fraction of the cost. This has gone down well with myself and DS so its a winner in my house. My grandad has even put this on his xmas list after having half an hour playing candy crush on it and I will be more than happy to buy it for him at this price.

How easy was the setup process?... It was quite easy to set up the one thing i would of liked is the paperwork to have larger writing i struggled and would imagine if this was for an elderly person they might too. You can set up what home screen you want with ease, you can adapt it so that you just touch the face of the person you want to call for an elderly or a child this would be so much quicker oh and for me lol. I have the text size set to huge.

How do you find the signal coverage? Is it reliable? Have you had any issues with this?...So far so good but the area i live in does have quite good signal.

How has your family been using the service? i.e. is it you or your DC/DP who has the handset? How useful have you/they found the Mobile by Sainsbury's service?.. My DS used it and said he liked it which is a plus for a teenager. He said its very easy to use for a child. My DH had a look and was quite impressed he said the layout and the ease of use was great and the screen is nice and bright and clear the layout was brilliant.

Which services have you/ your DC/DP used most – calls, texts or data?
I have used it all including the camera. The data i used for some apps like Facebook Twitter etc. It connects to home wifi easily as i tend to do that when indoors as it saves on the data bundle. Its so easy to change from home to bundle with just a swipe down on the screen and a click on and off plus you can change the bluetooth and rotate on that screen to saves going in settings. I love that you can set it to swype text so much easier and quicker to type with.

How have you/your DC/DP found the Y330? Did it impress you, given its budget price? I found this amazing value its a smart phone with great capabilities of a much more expensive branded phone. The only thing i found was no flash on the camera which is no hardship. Plus i dont need a forward facing camera as i dont do selfies or skype. A plus is it has a radio as many of them now dont have that and you have to download an app and use data to use and with built in radio i dont have to. I absolutely love this phone. It has changed my perception of lower value mobiles without the big name. When you first take it out of its box i was quite surprised how light and slim it was, i though hmm maybe its only going to have a few functions but it is really good. Its got great calculator. My DS found voice search so much fun as we had never used it before so he spent a good hour playing with that. I has lots of pre-installed apps for which you need a google account. I have only needed to charge the phone once so far but then games havent been played as they do seem to drain any battery.

If it came up in conversation, would you recommend this network to your friends or not? As i havent encountered any problems with the network then i would recommend it. The bundle is good value as i do tend to text more than chat but the calls i have made have been ok.

Would you recommend the Y330 as a first smartphone, or not? Yes. This would be an ideal phone for a first phone, its a good value phone with all the functions that a young person would need. I would like to know how to set up security of the apps and browsing as i like to lock content so no under 18 browsing of sites and downloading of apps not suitable for a minor. Shock Which is what i have got installed on my DS phone. I would also like to be able to block premium rate calls coming and going on the phone.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to test the y330.

  1. The set up process was a doddle, no problems at all and the instructions were self explanatory.

  1. The signal coverage was very good, I went from kent to london to chichester and the signal was perfect the whole time.

  1. The services used most were text, as anyone with teenagers would agree this is the preferred type of contact, very embarrassing when mum rings whilst they are out socialising! Grin

  1. For the price of the handset and having no experience using sainsburys as a service provider I was very impressed. The small price tag makes this phone extremely desirable.

  1. I have already recommended both the handset and sainsburys as a service provider and once our contract is up we are seriously considering swapping over.

  1. yes I would definitely recommend as a first smartphone, since I have finished the trial my 15 yr old son was so impressed with the handset especially now he has inserted an sd card that he now has the phone and is very happy with it.

All in all a very nifty little smartphone, i would definitely recommend inserting an sd card because there isn't much memory.

Firstly, thank you for giving us the opportunity for this! :)

  1. How easy was the setup process?

I found the setup process straight forward enough & had no problems.

  2. How do you find the signal coverage? Is it reliable? Have you had any issues with this?

The signal hasnt been amazing but has been sufficient to use the services required, Im hoping this continues.

  3. How has your family been using the service? i.e. is it you or your DC/DP who has the handset? How useful have you/they found the Mobile by Sainsbury's service?

My Son has found the handset easy to use and loves it & likes the Sainsbury's service so far! thumbs up!.

  4. Which services have you/ your DC/DP used most – calls, texts or data?

    Texts, definately!!!!

5)How have you/your DC/DP found the Y330? Did it impress you, given its budget price?

Yes, I was very impressed with the price. It 'looks the part' enough for my son but not ridiculously priced.

  5. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend this network to your friends or not?

Yes I guess I would recommend the network.

  6. Would you recommend the Y330 as a first smartphone, or not?

yes I would. I think its fine for kids as its not ancient and old fashioned but if they break/lose it its not all the world.

I've had the same experience as Wasfield. DD was setting it iup for me, assumed the SIM card was the smaller bit and it's now stuck inside the phone. I don't know what to do now - can't get it out. :(

How easy was the setup process? Very easy. It only took a few minutes.

How do you find the signal coverage? Is it reliable?Have you had any issues with this? Signal coverage has been very good, no problems at all. In our house people on Orange and Vodafone struggle for a signal but we have had no issues.

How has your family been using the service?i.e. is it you or your DC/DP who has the handset? How useful have you/they found the Mobile by Sainsbury's service? DS1 has the mobile, and I have had a play around with it. It's great to be able to text him when he is round a friend's house to tell him what time to be home, or remind him it is time to come home Wink. I also like the fact you can link your Nectar card to your bundle.

Which services have you/ your DC/DP used most – calls, texts or data? DS1 has used texts and data the most.

How have you/your DC/DP found the Y330?Did it impress you, given its budget price? DS1 loves it. Easy to use, good signal, great value for money.

If it came up in conversation, would you recommend this network to your friends or not? Yes, in fact I have already recommended this phone to a friend for her DS.

Would you recommend the Y330 as a first smartphone, or not? I already have. (See above) I'm not concerned about DS1 taking it out with him and potentially losing it as it would be so cheap to replace.

Thanks for giving us the opportunity to try the phone out. It arrived on DS1's birthday, so as you can imagine, he was thrilled. Smile

More Feedback

Unfortunately since my initial wow feedback I have had a problem - the phone won't charge at allSad

It came charged and on a positive note the charge has lasted until today. However on connecting it to the charger, nothing is happening and it will not charge at all. Don't know if phone or charger is faulty?? Has anyone else experienced this??

Mumsnet - should I report this to Sainsbury's or what should I do, if anything??
