Miele are looking for 10 Mumsnetters with allergies to test out either their S8 Silence Plus EcoLine Allergy, or the S8 Silence Solution vacuum cleaners.

Here’s what Miele say, “Build quality and efficiency have always been at the forefront of our vacuum cleaner design, with improving your lifestyle at home as our goal. Our Hyclean dustbags are an important functionality of the Miele vacuum cleaner being the most effective way of keeping dust and dirt from re-entering your home. Each bag is made from a special kind of fleece that gives you nine layers of filtration designed to capture even the smallest of particles and its automatic hygiene shutter ensuring dust and bacteria is not expelled back into the air when you dispose of it, making it perfect for allergy sufferers.

Built with allergy sufferers in mind, the S8 Silence Solution and the S8 Silence Plus EcoLine Allergy detailed in this thread both feature our new HEPA 13 filter designed to remove up to 99.999% of particles* from the air making them perfect for all allergy sufferers including dust, pollen and asthma.

With all of these key features combined, the Miele vacuum cleaner system facilitates the capture of the smallest allergens that are not visible to the naked eye, such as bed bugs, dust mite and dust mite faeces that typically cause irritation.

(*according to IEC 60312)”

Those selected will be sent either a Miele S8 Silence Plus EcoLine Allergy (RRP £300.00) or a Miele S8 Silence Solution (RRP £240.00).

This product test is open to all UK Mumsnetters who have either pet and/or dust pollen allergies. Testers will need to test out the Miele vacuum cleaners and give feedback over the next couple of weeks so please only apply to take part if you’re available over this time.

If you’re interested in taking part please sign up here.

Thanks and good luck,

MNHQ

Woo hoo! early on! Me, DH, and DS have dust and pollen allergies.

We're extending this year and DH will suffer so much regardless of how much i clean. (MNHQ, can you add that to my reasons please?) Thanks

I suffer from an allergy to dust, so I would be very interested to give this a test drive. With four kids, two dogs and mud stomped in from the yard, is a Miele good enough?

Ich leide an einer Stauballergie, so wre ich sehr daran interessiert, diese eine Probefahrt zu geben. Mit vier Kinder, zwei Hunde und Schlamm in vom Hof stapfte, ist ein Miele gut genug?

I'll do it! I have dust, pollen, dander and feather allergies, and live in a house with carpet in every room except the kitchen (courtesy of the previous owners)!

My floor is never clean because my estate agent thinks a decent vacuum cleaner is above my station. I have hayfever and live on a very busy road. I'm going to be a sneezy itchy mess in a couple of weeks

I would love to try this Hoover... My dyson is a bit poorly and just isn't removing dust as well as it should and I seem to have permanently itchy eyes.

Grin eine Probefahrt? Schon eher ein paar Proberunden durchs Haus.

Done, I'd love to try one of these out. I have a Miele now - best vacuum cleaner I've ever had - but it's old now and I'd be really interested to see how technology has moved on. (And I have dust mite allergy)

Done, would love to try a Hoover to help us with our asthma and that doesn't make dd screech as it's too loud!

Done! My Dyson vacuum cleaner has seen better days, and I'd love to be able to vacuum floors/bedding etc without needing to leave windows open afterwards.
It's a balancing act in tree pollen season, let the house dust out, but let the tree pollen in. It's antihistamine city here in late spring/summer!

Done, I'd love to try this. DH and I are both asthmatic and suffer from pollen, dander and dust mite allergies. Our Hoover is an ancient hand me down and I hate it!

Yes yes yes please. First sniff of spring and my DH is lying on the sofa all red eyed and sniffly. Sadly our old vac has developed a terminal wheeze due to the builders using it to Hoover up boulders!!! :(

I haven't applied for this as we already have a Miele hoover and it's amazing! (possibly too excited about a vacuum cleaner)
