Adventurous MNers needed to test-drive the new Toyota RAV4 – NOW CLOSED

Following on from the recent Toyota Auris test-drive we're now looking for 8 Mumsnetters and their families to put the new Toyota RAV4 through it's paces!

Here's what Toyota says about the car: "With the all new RAV4, growing up doesn't mean you have to lose your spirit of adventure. Responsive and agile, it was born for exploring, making this the perfect family car for everyday adventure."

For more info on the RAV4 - and to check it's suitable for you and your family's needs please visit the Toyota website.

This test drive is open to all UK Mumsnetters with at least one child aged under 16.

The test drives will be split over 2 waves - 3rd- 16th August and 17th- 31st August. So please only apply if you're around for the duration of one of these waves, and indicate on the sign up form which dates you'd prefer.

Those of you who are selected to take part will need to pick the RAV4 up from one of the following locations:
Bristol
Leeds
Essex
Sunderland
You can either leave your own car at the dealership or arrange for the car to be collected from your home after the test drive.

We're looking for families who can demonstrate everything the RAV4 has to offer. So if you're off on a summer holiday in the UK, would like to take your family on one of the Route 125 adventures or even if you feel your day to day driving can give the RAV4 a real challenge let us know on the sign up form (link below).

Testers will be required to post regular feedback (at least twice a week) on a thread on Mumsnet and also take photos of the test drive. We'd also really like it if testers could try at least one of the adventures from the Toyota RAV4 Route 125 website during the 2 week period (or even create your own adventure!) Photos and comments may be used on Toyota's pages on Mumsnet and possibly elsewhere.

Additionally, we'd like 4 out of the 8 testers to take video feedback throughout the test drive on their smart phone. The videos will need to showcase all of the features the RAV4 has to offer, specifically how it is ideal for everything from summer family adventures, to the weekly supermarket shop. Each of the testers making videos will receive a £30 Love2Shop voucher as an additional thank you!
The videos will be used on Toyota's pages on Mumsnet, hosted on YouTube and possibly elsewhere.

Small print:
In order to take part in the test drive you (and anyone else who will be driving) must:
~ be a UK resident
~ be aged 21 years old or over
~ hold a valid UK driving license
~ have no convictions for dangerous driving.
A driver declaration form will need to be completed; proof of identification and a valid driving licence (both photocard if applicable and paper part) will also need to be presented upon collection of vehicle and continue to be valid before the winner can take the test drive.

So, if you think you and your family can put the RAV4 to the test over the summer holidays please sign up here.

We'll be in touch with those selected by 30th July.

Thanks and good luck,

MNHQ

I have applied but please note it would be my husband as main driver as I don't have a UK license yet but he does, I noted this in my response to the survey.

I noticed people indicated this for another of the car test drives and it deemed acceptable so I hope this is okay.

Been um-ing and ah-ing about whether to up size or down size on my next car change. I've slowly down sized over the last few changes but really miss having a car that can actually fit in 2 ageing parents and 2 growing boys along with the shopping! Toyota! I need your help!

Blatant? Wink

Done, would absolutely LOVE to do this. All sorts of jaunts planned for August, and this would be a fine way to go from south to north and bits in between.

I'm off to Santa Pod the weekend of the 31st/1st September. Might be able to persuade dp to drag race it, but we'd need to have it for the whole weekend. Should i apply?

Is it possible to get 3 car seats across the back of it? I'm having problems finding specs on their site as I'm using my mobile.

I've applied, it'd be perfect timing for us for the first test period ad OH is home and so we will be going and exploring new areas in driving distance from our new home. We moved from 3.5 hours away, so plenty of places to explore.

I did forget to mention that OH has not been convicted of dangerous driving though-but he hasn't, could this please be updated? Flowers
