- What were your overall impressions of the Clinique CC cream?

Very light feeling and covered very well with just a tiny bit.

- Did you notice any particular difference to the look and/or feel of your skin? If so, please say how.

It hasn't made me break out, so that's different from most products I try like this.

- How would you describe the texture of the CC cream?

As I said, very light and creamy. Really impressed with how little you need to get a nice coverage.

- How easy or difficult did you find applying the cream?

Very easy to apply.

- Clinique CC cream has SPF 30, how important, if at all, is this to you?

Very important. I have very fair skin and battle all summer to keep sun block on so it's nice to have it included.

- Do you think you will continue to use the Clinique Moisture Surge CC cream in the future? If so, why? If not why not?

Probably not once this tube runs out as I really can't afford the price. £28 is a lot of money to me right now. But I'll use it until then.

- If it came up in conversation, would you recommend the Clinique Moisture Surge CC cream to a friend or relative? If so, why, if not why not?

I don't tend to talk to people about this sort of thing, but if someone asked, I would recommend it.

Marking my place as I've just had the feedback email smile Very happy with the product so far though!

- What were your overall impressions of the Clinique CC cream?

Very good overall from packaging to product taking everything into consideration

- Did you notice any particular difference to the look and/or feel of your skin? If so, please say how.

My skin looked LOVELY! It's a bloody train wreck usually. It totally lived up to the 'blurb'

- How would you describe the texture of the CC cream?

creamy

- How easy or difficult did you find applying the cream?

very easy and quick

- Clinique CC cream has SPF 30, how important, if at all, is this to you?

Vital these days. I love a lot of sun damage still from my early 20's and I always use spf 30 now.

- Do you think you will continue to use the Clinique Moisture Surge CC cream in the future? If so, why? If not why not?

Yes I will because I have been so impressed at the colour correcting, the coverage, the spf... everything.

- If it came up in conversation, would you recommend the Clinique Moisture Surge CC cream to a friend or relative? If so, why, if not why not?

Absolutely yes! I would recommend because it's a super quick and easy way to not only protect skin but make it look fab and even glowing too

- What were your overall impressions of the Clinique CC cream?
I don't wear foundation so it took a bit of getting used to. I'm not sure if the colour I had was too light for me but I found I needed to wear the CC cream with lipstick or I looked slightly ill. With lipstick it looks lovely. I have been wearing it for work and it looks good even after two stressful hours in an overheated classroom.

- Did you notice any particular difference to the look and/or feel of your skin? If so, please say how.
I used to have roseacea and still have problems with redness, the CC cream covered all that up beautifully. It gives a uniform colour with a slightly sheeny glow. I didn't notice any difference to the feel of my skin though.

- How would you describe the texture of the CC cream?
Thicker than I expected, but you only need a small amount to cover well so it doesn't feel thick on your face

- How easy or difficult did you find applying the cream?
Very easy, doesn't seem to need much blending in.

- Clinique CC cream has SPF 30, how important, if at all, is this to you?
Very important, I always wear some sun protection.

- Do you think you will continue to use the Clinique Moisture Surge CC cream in the future? If so, why? If not why not?
I will keep using it, but I might save the lighter colour for winter and buy a darker shade for summer.

- If it came up in conversation, would you recommend the Clinique Moisture Surge CC cream to a friend or relative? If so, why, if not why not?
Yes I would recommend it.

- What were your overall impressions of the Clinique CC cream?
Packing is nice, from a brand I trust so good first impression.

- Did you notice any particular difference to the look and/or feel of your skin? If so, please say how.
I didn't notice a difference in the way my skin feels, but it did look better, like a light foundation.

- How would you describe the texture of the CC cream?
The texture is good, light and easy to apply.

- How easy or difficult did you find applying the cream?
Very easy, although I think the shade may have been slightly off for my skin tone, however it was the closest shade they do (I am very pale).

- Clinique CC cream has SPF 30, how important, if at all, is this to you?
I wouldn't say it is of high importance but it is definitely a plus, especially in the warmer months.

- Do you think you will continue to use the Clinique Moisture Surge CC cream in the future? If so, why? If not why not?
Yes, however only if it was on offer as the price is slightly more then I would like to pay. My foundation does almost as good a job in my opinion.

- If it came up in conversation, would you recommend the Clinique Moisture Surge CC cream to a friend or relative? If so, why, if not why not?
Yes, its worth trying!!

Thanks

- What were your overall impressions of the Clinique CC cream?

I liked the coverage; it was thick and nob greasy. I expected the cream to be lighter, more like I moisturiser, but it could easily be a full face foundation.

- Did you notice any particular difference to the look and/or feel of your skin? If so, please say how.

It definately offered good coverage and smoothed over pores and blemishes.

- How would you describe the texture of the CC cream?

It was thick and rich in texture, but went on smooth.

- How easy or difficult did you find applying the cream?

It was fine, no more difficult than any other cream or make up.

- Clinique CC cream has SPF 30, how important, if at all, is this to you?

Very important, I always wear SPF, it's excellent that it's built in.

- Do you think you will continue to use the Clinique Moisture Surge CC cream in the future? If so, why? If not why not?

I found the colour range too restrictive; fair, medium, dark - it doesn't cover the spectrum too much ! I have fair Celtic skin that takes a good tan, and it was hard to work out what my best colour match was.

I really didn't like the smell of the product, that put me off unfortunately .

- If it came up in conversation, would you recommend the Clinique Moisture Surge CC cream to a friend or relative? If so, why, if not why not?

I wouldn't because of the restricted colour and smell. I am a bit of a make up tart, and have others I prefer. I use Clinique even better at present and I find it suits my needs more.

Thank you for letting me try the product!

CMOTDibbler Wed 29-May-13 11:01:20

The CC cream wasn't quite what I expected - I was thinking it would be like a BB cream but better, but in fact it was more like a light foundation, and needed moisturiser underneath.

Once I'd sorted that, it did look nice after a few minutes settling in (looked a bit ashy to begin with) and I was pleased with it, esp reducing the redness around my nose.

Alas, during the day, I then noticed the skin round my eyes swelling, and had to take it off as I was obviously reacting to something in it, so haven't worn it since as its taken a week for the scabby eczema to settle down.

Apart from the skin reaction, I did like it, but wouldn't buy it as for day to day use I want an all in one product, and I would expect more moisture from a moisture surge product.

What were your overall impressions of the Clinique CC cream?
I had no preconceptions (I was aware that BB cream existed but had no idea what it actually was; hadn't even heard of CC cream before this grin. Liked the packaging, looks expensive
Did you notice any particular difference to the look and/or feel of your skin? If so, please say how.
I haven't told anyone I was trialling this, and asked the DDs yesterday if they'd noticed anythig different about my skin. They're 15 and 11 and pretty brutally honest, and reckoned that I looked younger and my face smoother. I've bee impressed at how well it covers redness.
How would you describe the texture of the CC cream?
Much thicker than I was expecting, but a nice smell
How easy or difficult did you find applying the cream?
I struggle a bit with applying it, as because it's thick, it pulls the downy hairs on my cheeks and forehead in the direction i've rubbed. But it settles down over the day.
Clinique CC cream has SPF 30, how important, if at all, is this to you?
Ought to be important, but I'm not very good at remembering I ought to use sun protection.
Do you think you will continue to use the Clinique Moisture Surge CC cream in the future? If so, why? If not why not?
I'll carry on with this tube, but probably won't buy it myself, unless it's o offer. Although if the tube last a long time, I'll work it out at pence per day, and it will seem a lot more value for money
If it came up in conversation, would you recommend the Clinique Moisture Surge CC cream to a friend or relative? If so, why, if not why not?
I probably would recommend it, but with an "its pricey" caveat.

I'm posting on here to remind me what I want to buy next time I'm in boots. grin

Kerfuffled Wed 29-May-13 20:06:06

The reviews so far are almost tempting me to buy this but I'd like to know what the staying power is. Any chance of adding that to the list of questions please as I think it's quite an important point before buying anything like this?

RachelHRD Wed 29-May-13 21:01:23

Marking my place as mine arrived today!!

MadameOvary Thu 30-May-13 09:34:25

Watching with interest as an SPF that I don't need to use extra moisturiser with is my Holy Grail! <slight exaggeration but ygwim>

CMOTDibbler Thu 30-May-13 09:48:41

If anyone who didn't test would like the very fair one, pm me as I used it once and can't again.

Tee2072 Thu 30-May-13 21:17:12

kerfuffled It probably lasts half the day on me. I mean, when I go to wash my face before bed, there is product still there, but it's certainly not lasting and 'fixing my skin tone' all day.

MsInterpret Thu 30-May-13 22:27:48

- What were your overall impressions of the Clinique CC cream?
Nice, slim tube, not bulky at all, very pleased to have been chosen to test it out!

Did you notice any particular difference to the look and/or feel of your skin? If so, please say how.
Looked good and 'glowy' after application, smoothing out skintone and giving my face a lift. Quite n achievement for a seriously sleep-deprived and perma-ill mum of two. Liked it a lot. My skin didn't feel greatly different but I wasn't aware of the product being on my skin, as it's very light.

How would you describe the texture of the CC cream?
Light, creamy, smooth.

How easy or difficult did you find applying the cream?
When I used moisturiser beforehand it was very easy, just smoothed it on with my fingers. It didn't have enough moisture for me to use without anything prior but I have dry skin. And using both made my skin feel lovely and fresh.

Clinique CC cream has SPF 30, how important, if at all, is this to you?
Really liked this aspect of the product; I have very pale skin and like to have some SPF on all the time. i just ran out of my latest SPF daily moisturiser so it was perfect timing.

Do you think you will continue to use the Clinique Moisture Surge CC cream in the future? If so, why? If not why not?
I will continue to use it until it runs out. I might reserve it for nights out/days when I am looking especially peaky...! I'd love to use it more and if I could get it on offer I certainly would purchase but the price is a bit of an inhibitor for me. I would also think about purchasing it in future if my skin was in a poorer condition. At the moment, I just look a bit tired - because I am, but if I had a real need for colour correction, I would definitely look it out.

If it came up in conversation, would you recommend the Clinique Moisture Surge CC cream to a friend or relative? If so, why, if not why not?
Yes, I would. I'm really happy with the product (thanks for letting me test it!) and I know lots of people would be very happy/able to spend this amount on a daily beauty product.

AmberLeaf Fri 31-May-13 00:56:22

What were your overall impressions of the Clinique CC cream?

Overall I liked it. Colour match was good. The coverage lasted fairly well for me

Did you notice any particular difference to the look and/or feel of your skin? If so, please say how

Initially it made my skin feel quite soft and smooth, but I did notice after about 5 days that my skin felt a bit tight, I carried on using it and it was ok again, but now again feels a bit tight/dry strangely. despite this, overall my skin feels nicer

How would you describe the texture of the CC cream?

Nice, creamy and smooth

How easy or difficult did you find applying the cream?

Very easy to apply, went on evenly

Clinique CC cream has SPF 30, how important, if at all, is this to you?

Pretty important

Do you think you will continue to use the Clinique Moisture Surge CC cream in the future? If so, why? If not why not?

Im going to see how the tight skin thing pans out, if cost wasn't an issue then I would use it again, but only if it stops making my skin feel tight!

If it came up in conversation, would you recommend the Clinique Moisture Surge CC cream to a friend or relative? If so, why, if not why not?

I think I would, but I would recommend Clinique generally anyway

Thanks for letting me try it out

Also, Clinique....pleeease consider bringing back Citybase compact foundation [in Honeymilk!] I know you still sell it in america, I nearly cried when you stopped selling it here! it was the best make up Ive ever used and none of your other ones match colourwise

smoothieooo Fri 31-May-13 15:19:42

My lovely local Boots store gave me a small sample to try - I was worried that it wouldn't give sufficient coverage to my slightly reddish face with its delightful chloasma patches!

Will probably wear under foundation as powder makes me break out <crappy skin all round>

CMOT - have pm-ed you!

MultumInParvo Sat 01-Jun-13 22:48:03

1. What were your overall impressions of the Clinique CC cream

Good. I had to mix it with normal moisturiser however because i felt it would be too dry otherwise.

2. Did you notice any particular difference to the look and/or feel of your skin? If so, please say how.

My skin looked dewy I would say.

3. How would you describe the texture of the CC cream?

The texture I found was creamy and thick

4. How easy or difficult did you find applying the cream?

Very easy when mixed with moisturiser. A bit draggy when tried without.

5. Clinique CC cream has SPF 30, how important, if at all, is this to you?

Very important.

6. Do you think you will continue to use the Clinique Moisture Surge CC cream in the future? If so, why? If not why not.

Yes I will use it agin. Only from April to November though.

7. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend the Clinique Moisture Surge CC cream to a friend or relative? If so, why, if not why not?

Yes I would. It's a good all rounder.

CMOTDibbler Sun 02-Jun-13 20:04:58

Hopefully MadameOvary will now step in as my substitute reviewer smile

What were your overall impressions of the Clinique CC cream?
Nice packaging, nice texture & good coverage

Did you notice any particular difference to the look and/or feel of your skin? If so, please say how.
I used this in place of my usual moisturiser & foundation for daytime. I liked how my skin looked once the product had settled onto my skin, and thought the coverage was even & long lasting. My skin has felt a little dry since starting to use the product.

How would you describe the texture of the CC cream?
Like regular foundation or tinted moisturiser

How easy or difficult did you find applying the cream?
Easy to apply

Clinique CC cream has SPF 30, how important, if at all, is this to you?
Very important. I have very fair, freckly skin & have been searching for a tinted moisturiser with SPF & good coverage. I think I have found it!

Do you think you will continue to use the Clinique Moisture Surge CC cream in the future? If so, why? If not why not?
Yes, although as my skin tans over the summer I think the shade I have will be too light. The price of the product would put me off buying a slightly darker shade for summer use.

If it came up in conversation, would you recommend the Clinique Moisture Surge CC cream to a friend or relative? If so, why, if not why not?
Yes [smile}

MadameOvary Mon 03-Jun-13 14:06:54

Thank you CMOT smile I'll add my feedback tomorrow as this is my first day of wearing it.

tootssweet Mon 03-Jun-13 16:31:45

- What were your overall impressions of the Clinique CC cream?
I liked the packaging, felt my skin was a little dry with it and I needed to have moisturiser underneath. I had the fair one and it did make me a little orange to start off with (not quite Katie Price but I am pale)
- Did you notice any particular difference to the look and/or feel of your skin? If so, please say how.
My forehead got really dry but once I got into the routine of moisturising as well it seems to have calmed down.
- How would you describe the texture of the CC cream?
lovely - really light & fluffy feeling
- How easy or difficult did you find applying the cream?
On the whole quite easy but I did find it difficult to blend it in with my neckline due to the shade being a little too dark for me if I was buying it again I would probably go for the very fair.
- Clinique CC cream has SPF 30, how important, if at all, is this to you?
Very important (paleness theme developing!) I have also been in the sun on the few days it has been out this year wearing my CC cream and my face hasn't been burned but my arms were, so great on sun protection.
- Do you think you will continue to use the Clinique Moisture Surge CC cream in the future? If so, why? If not why not?
I would like something that gave me a little more moisturiser in my foundation but I did like the texture and coverage on the whole and my skin hasn't felt too bad (psorisas sufferer so it can really dry out & be scale-y.)
- If it came up in conversation, would you recommend the Clinique Moisture Surge CC cream to a friend or relative? If so, why, if not why not?
I have already mentioned it to friends and did say I would recommend it. My skin is a little sensitive and it has not produced a reaction so I am quite pleased about that.

DameFanny Mon 03-Jun-13 17:43:37

What were your overall impressions of the Clinique CC cream?
A nice balance - probably the best I've found in my (limited) experience of BBs and CCs - more moisturising than others, but still excellent coverage

Did you notice any particular difference to the look and/or feel of your skin? If so, please say how.
Just a general 'my skin but better' when wearing it

How would you describe the texture of the CC cream?
Smooth

How easy or difficult did you find applying the cream?
Very - just gave a serum a minute to sink in and then straight over the top - doesn't drag or smear

Clinique CC cream has SPF 30, how important, if at all, is this to you?
Very - as a pale blue freckled person who was ordered out of the sun after a skin-cancer scare 20 years ago

Do you think you will continue to use the Clinique Moisture Surge CC cream in the future? If so, why? If not why not
Probably - it seems a bit pricey till you take into account that you're getting moisturiser as well as make-up, at which point it's probably a saving. It's an excellent base for heavier make-up as well - the last time I went out in the evening I just put a freshener of the cc cream on, then a dusting of mineral foundation for a more finished look.

As someone with freckles I'm always looking for something to tone down redness without smudging the freckles - the horrendous advice of matching the shade to between the freckle and the base skin would leave me as orange as a TOWIE sleb - and Clinique's is a good find

If it came up in conversation, would you recommend the Clinique Moisture Surge CC cream to a friend or relative? If so, why, if not why not?
If it came up in conversation, yes - if they had similar needs to mine.
