Following on from the webchat with the Mothercare CEO Simon Calver we are pleased to announce we are now recruiting MNers to join a mini panel.

The team at Mothercare say "We've got together with Mumsnet to create a panel so we can listen to real mums at the start of their parenting journey. We are keen to hear your feedback on some of our new product arrivals and our new store concept. With over 50 years of experience, we know that we must continue to understand the highs and lows of parenting to make life easier for young families during this important time."

The MN Mothercare Panel will be invited to take part in a variety of activities over the next year or so - including

~ Visit to the flagship store at Edmonton, North London in April - this is a chance for MNers to experience Mothercare's new store concept - a "mumspace" with an assortment of scheduled activities for mums and babies, coffee shop, scanning room, huge ELC with play zones and expert advisors on hand.
Please note you don't have to be near Edmonton to join the panel
~ Take part in a survey - and have the chance to win a prize
~ Chance to take part in products test(s) for new pregnancy, baby or toddler products and to add feedback to a thread on Mumsnet
~ Hear about competitions and sponsored threads via email from MNHQ directly

We're looking for a variety of MNers to join the panel - this needs to include those who are currently pregnant, who have small babies now or who have a toddler - in short - the sort of people who would be in the market for the kind of items Mothercare sells Grin.

As we do have the event at Edmonton we'd very much like folks who fit the bill in terms of pregnancy/ LO's and who are also within striking distance of this store to join.

It doesn't matter if you're a Mothercare regular, or if you aren't aware of them.

How the panel will work
~ We recruit MNers onto the panel now - everyone who completes the form linked to below will be on the panel.
~ Each time we have an activity which we think you're suitable for or would be interested in we will email you details and info on how you can take part
~ Not all panel members will necessarily take part in an activity - but there will be chances for everyone to contribute in some way
~ You can leave the panel at any time.

Please do sign up by adding your details here

We'll be in touch with panellists when the first activity happens.

Thanks MNHQ

For anyone thinking "where's Edmonton", and who puts it into Google maps, and finds that Google maps appears to think it's in Canada, even if you put "Edmonton UK", so thought it would be helpful to post that the postcode of the Mothercare store there is N18 3HA.

Have signed up - the Edmonton store is my local and it's great, I highly recommend it! I didn't realise it was their flagship store till the webchat today.

Done, but I accidentally did it twice - once only half filled in though, can you ignore my first attempt please? Blush

I really want to be involved in this (not just for the free stuff Wink) because I hate shopping in my local shop but I really want to like it! I'm too far from North London but what they've done there sounds great, I'd love our store to be that nice. I'm not sure about the 'mumspace' thing though - what about dads?

I would love to, keep meaning to go and have a look at the edmonton store - saw pics of it on fb when they first did it. Wish they would do all branches of mothercare like that! Will fill out the form now

Happy to be involved as I have a newborn baby, a toddler and can visit the Edmonton store. And I've got lots of opinions on Mothercare.

Is the trip to the new store optional? My first babies now 8 days overdue and don't think I would be up for a trip to London in April but would love to do the product testing etc whilst on ML.

Another London centered giveaway then. I'd like people to realize London is not the center of the bloody world already Angry

I could do with a 'maybe' option on whether I could get to Edmonton. I could get there, but it is a bit of a drive so it would be very dependent on when it is and whether I can bribe DH to go as I'm a bit scared of the M25. Am I best to say 'yes' so that you send me the details nearer the time, or do you only want people who are somewhat more definite to select that?

Wigeon - thank you!
Peach - sorry
RedKites - say yes and I won't hold you to it!

I think I ticked yes for Edmonton, but my pregnancy brain has been awful over the past few days (mostly involving burning food in the oven) Blush

If I didn't tick it - I am able to go to Edmonton.
