FINAL FEEDBACK
Q1 Very very satisfied with the results
Q2 Scar now very pale lilac as opposed to bright red
Q3 Easy Effective and Magic!
Q4 Yes I would pay £29:99
Q5 Yes I would definitely reccomend to friends and family.
Second feedback:
1. Have you noticed any improvement in your scar since using Kelo-cote at all, if so in what way?
Visibly, I haven't really noticed a difference, but it isn't having itchy flare-ups any more. Actually, thinking about it, I think my scar isn't as bumpy as it was.
2. Have you found using Kelo-cote easy or difficult to incorporate into your daily routine?
I've found this quite tricky tbh. It hasn't helped that the last few months have been lively and challenging at home. I ended up writing at the top of each week in my diary to remind me!
3. Approximately how much product do you have left (1/3rd tube / 1/2 tube etc)?
I've nearly finished the tube (have I used too much?)
Final feedback:
1.Overall, how satisfied or dissatisfied were you with the results?
Quite satisfied. Like I said above, there isn't really a visible difference, but the itchy flare-ups have stopped. I find this impressive to say my scar is 2 yrs old.
2.What (if anything) was the most noticeable effect?
No more itchiness.
3.Which three words would you use to describe Kelo-cote silicone gel?
Soothing, sticky, smoothing
4.The recommended retail price for Kelo-cote is £29.99. Would you be prepared to pay this amount for a 3 months supply?
When this tube runs out, I probably won't replace it. However, if the itchiness returns, I would buy more.
5.If it were to come up in a conversation, would you recommend Kelo-cote silicone gel to friends and family?
I already have! A friend is using it on a 10 month cs scar, with brilliant results.
I used some on my sons scar on his head - within a few days, it was paler and stopped itching.
If scars come up in conversation, I tend to recommend it whatever!
Second Feedback
1. Have you noticed any improvement in your scar since using Kelo-cote at all, if so in what way?
- Yes, it's slightly paler, flatter overall and less bumpy in the parts that were quite raised.
2. Have you found using Kelo-cote easy or difficult to incorporate into your daily routine?
- Once I fitted it into my routine, it became habit.
3. Approximately how much product do you have left (1/3rd tube / 1/2 tube etc)?
- None :/ But my scar is nearly hip to hip (big c-sec baby!) so I used more.
Final Feedback
- Overall, how satisfied or dissatisfied were you with the results?
In no way am I suggesting that it can grow back nerves or anything but I feel like I have more feeling in y car now. This may be as I was stimulating the tissue everyday or increasing blood as I rubbed it or something? Scar is less red and angry? Definitely less itchy!
- What (if anything) was the most noticeable effect?
Soothing!
- Which three words would you use to describe Kelo-cote silicone gel?
Cool, calming, soothing.
- The recommended retail price for Kelo-cote is £29.99. Would you be prepared to pay this amount for 3 months supply (equivalent to less than £10 per month)?
Yes. 30p a day for a less angry, less red, smoother, calmer scar. Definitely.
- If it were to come up in conversation, would you recommend Kelo-cote silicone gel to friends and family? If yes, why? If not, why not?
Yes definitely. I'm going to admit now that I have used a little on my dds scar tissue as it is on both her hands and feet and can get very red an angry. I used a tiny amount on her hands and it seemed to calm.
It's easy to use and effective.
1. Have you noticed any improvement in your scar since using Kelo-cote at all, if so in what way?
Yes, its less noticable.
2. Have you found using Kelo-cote easy or difficult to incorporate into your daily routine?
It was quite easy to remember to use.
3. Approximately how much product do you have left (1/3rd tube / 1/2 tube etc)?
I have just under 1/4 of the tube left, used a little more on some days if i accidently rubbed it off before it had a chance to dry.
Second Feedback
1. Have you noticed any improvement in your scar since using Kelo-cote at all, if so in what way?
- My scar is not itchy at all and is not particularly red. Hard to tell if this is because of the product though!
2. Have you found using Kelo-cote easy or difficult to incorporate into your daily routine?
- Fairly easy. The drying time is easily incorporated with dressing/deodorant etc.
3. Approximately how much product do you have left (1/3rd tube / 1/2 tube etc)?
- About 1/3rd
1. Have you noticed any improvement in your scar since using Kelo-cote at all, if so in what way?
Yes, my scar is only 7 months old, so it was quite bumpy, but it has started to smooth out now.
2. Have you found using Kelo-cote easy or difficult to incorporate into your daily routine?
It was quite easy to remember to use it but if I didn't have time I would usually skip it because it does take some time to dry.
3. Approximately how much product do you have left (1/3rd tube / 1/2 tube etc)?
I have just under 1/4 of the tube left, this could be because I was a bit heavy handed with it at first.
1. Have you noticed any improvement in your scar since using Kelo-cote at all, if so in what way?
Scar has turned a grey/silver colour. Not red, bumpy and raised anymore.
2. Have you found using Kelo-cote easy or difficult to incorporate into your daily routine?
At first I found it easy to incorporate into my routine, and the first month I would 'do it properly' and wash the scar, pat dry and reapply at nighttime. The second month, I have not done this and already become lazy with application, only applying it once a day. The scar is still improving.
3 I don't know how much of the tube I have left, probaly enough if I had continued to apply twice a day for 3 months. I startedthe trial in February and have got enough left.
3. Approximately how much product do you have left (1/3rd tube / 1/2 tube etc)?
1. Have you noticed any improvement in your scar since using Kelo-cote at all, if so in what way?
Yes,it does seem to be lighter and softer.
2. Have you found using Kelo-cote easy or difficult to incorporate into your daily routine?
I have found I forget to use it
3. Approximately how much product do you have left (1/3rd tube / 1/2 tube etc)?
About 1/2 - 3/4 tube as I tend to not use it every day.
2nd answers
Q1 I haven't noticed any real change, maybe faded slightly but how much would that have happens anyway
Q2 it's easy to work into routine
Q3 about half a tube
1. Have you noticed any improvement in your scar since using Kelo-cote at all, if so in what way?
Not noticed much improvement really, but I'm not managing to use the gel consistently as having the time to wait for it to dry with a reflux-y baby isn't often an option.
2. Have you found using Kelo-cote easy or difficult to incorporate into your daily routine?
No, but my DS is quite demanding.
3. Approximately how much product do you have left (1/3rd tube / 1/2 tube etc)?
Over half a tube. I try and use only a little when I do use it to make it dry quicker. My scar is also quite small.
Just a reminder to also please ensure you add your feedback on the survey link Katie has sent out - this is very important. If you don't have the link then please pm one if us and we will resend.
thanks for all the feedback so far..!
1. Have you noticed any improvement in your scar since using Kelo-cote at all, if so in what way?
It has recently become a bit less red, I didn't notice any difference in the first month. I don't think it has become less raised though.
2. Have you found using Kelo-cote easy or difficult to incorporate into your daily routine?
I always put it on in the morning after my shower, but often forget in the evening.
3. Approximately how much product do you have left (1/3rd tube / 1/2 tube etc)?
Approx 1/3rd left.
1. The scar isn't as red and feels smoother.
2. Easy to incorporate into my routine.
3. Around a third of the tube is left.
Second Feedback
1. Have you noticed any improvement in your scar since using Kelo-cote at all, if so in what way?
- It is a little less itchy, particularly after showering but no significant improvement, this is probably because it's my fourth section scar and I wish I'd had a chance to use it after the first or second.
2. Have you found using Kelo-cote easy or difficult to incorporate into your daily routine?
- Not at all. Applied it as I would any other of my skincare products.
3. Approximately how much product do you have left (1/3rd tube / 1/2 tube etc)?
- Just less than a quarter of the tube is left.
I'm late to the thread, my apologies. I have had 4 c-sections and am currently 10.5 months post the last one. I have all my feedback jotted down so here is the first set of answers, many thanks:
Q1 How easy or difficult did you find Kelo-cote to apply?
It was simple to apply and I used a little more than I'd anticipated as you are not to rub it in.
Q2. On average how long did you find it took Kelo-cote to dry? Was this a longer or shorter time than you expected?
It took about 5 minutes to dry.
Q3. How did you find the feel of the gel? e.g. texture, stickiness etc
It was quite sticky once applied.
Q4. Before taking part in this product test, had you ever tried Kelo-cote or any other scar reducing product before? If so, which one(s)?
No.
1. Have you noticed any improvement in your scar since using Kelo-cote at all, if so in what way?
It definitely doesn't feel as itchy or as tender. I'm not sure that I have seen a massive visual improvement, but it definitely feels better.
2. Have you found using Kelo-cote easy or difficult to incorporate into your daily routine?
Very easy. Put it on in the morning when I'm getting dressed and then again in the evening before bed. Only takes a few seconds.
3. Approximately how much product do you have left (1/3rd tube / 1/2 tube etc)?
I've got about two thirds of a tube left. I was very aware of the instructions saying only a tiny amount is needed, so perhaps I have been too cautious in applying it - this would also explain quite well why I haven't seen the dramatic improvements that other testers have reported. I might try applying a bit more each time.
Second Feedback
1. Have you noticed any improvement in your scar since using Kelo-cote at all, if so in what way?
- Yes, it's slightly flatter. Also less itchy, which was great.
2. Have you found using Kelo-cote easy or difficult to incorporate into your daily routine?
- Easy once I got into the habit
3. Approximately how much product do you have left (1/3rd tube / 1/2 tube etc)?
- About 1/4
Final Feedback
- Overall, how satisfied or dissatisfied were you with the results?
It was less effective on the scar itself than I would expect for the price of such a small tube, but actually, it made up for that by how much it improved the "angriness" and itchiness.
- What (if anything) was the most noticeable effect?
Calming. Reduced itchy feeling pretty quickly.
- Which three words would you use to describe Kelo-cote silicone gel?
Clear, calming, smooth
- The recommended retail price for Kelo-cote is £29.99. Would you be prepared to pay this amount for 3 months supply (equivalent to less than £10 per month)?
Yes but I probably would have preferred buying a smaller tube to rest first. £30 is a lot to waste if you do t know a product.
- If it were to come up in conversation, would you recommend Kelo-cote silicone gel to friends and family? If yes, why? If not, why not?
If they had an uncomfortable scar, yes, to calm it. Probably not for scar reduction unless someone was a product junky with a lot of spare cash.
1) my scar looks less angry and is not as raised or itchy
2. It takes a bit longer than i would have liked to dry, which makes it a bit hard to get into my daily routine.
3. I have about 1/3 tube left
5) My new scar has changed colour from red to purple and my older scars are less raised.
6) Initially hard to remember but once I got into the habit it was easy enough to incorporate into my (for want of a better word) routine.
7) Between 1/4 and a 1/3, hard to tell but it does last well for a little tube.
1) Once I managed to get into the tube (intelligence fail) it was easy to apply.
2) it's not quick to dry but doesn't take an inordinate time to dry I found that I just need to get on with hair/teethbrushing etc and by the time I'm done, it's dry.
3) I bit sticky but not in an off putting way.
4) No.
1. Have you noticed any improvement in your scar since using Kelo-cote at all, if so in what way?
It's less Red, but it was never really a nasty looking scar.
2. Have you found using Kelo-cote easy or difficult to incorporate into your daily routine?
Difficult. I shouldn't do, but I forget to put it on. I'm just too hectic.
3. Approximately how much product do you have left (1/3rd tube / 1/2 tube etc)?
Difficult to tell, maybe half?
This is my second month.
1. Yes the scar is fading, now a pale pink 5 months after c-section. (it wasn't raised or itchy to start with so can't comment on that)
2. Easy to fit into routine.
3. Not sure how much is left, over half I think.
1. Have you noticed any improvement in your scar since using Kelo-cote at all, if so in what way?
Yes, it looks less red, and feels less itchy.
2. Have you found using Kelo-cote easy or difficult to incorporate into your daily routine?
Difficult, I often forget to apply it. I don't have a structured routine and do everything at different times so to be fair, I don't really have a 'routine' to incorporate it into!
3. Approximately how much product do you have left (1/3rd tube / 1/2 tube etc)?
Maybe half a tube, or a bit less. If I'd been applying it religiously every day, I definitely would have run out by now.
Second lot of feedback
Q1 Scar is now pale purple and smooth
Q2 applied every morning and evening after brushing my teeth
Q3 I have now run out of kelecote
Second set feedback:
1) I have noticed a significant improvement, scar Is less raised, less red and less itchy
2) it's very easy to incorporate into my routine, it put it on first then do the rest of my moisturiser etc
3) I have just Over 1/3 of a tube left
