the info was easy to understand

Q2. What, if any, other information would you have found useful to have on the site?
customer reviews, more hot offers, deals of the day etc

Q3. How easy, or difficult, did you find it to navigate and use the Incahoot PLUS website? Did you find any specific areas particularly difficult? If so, why?
I found the site to be generally cluttered but easy to navigate.

sorry but I don't really like anything about it in particular. It's no better than other sites such as quidco that I use a lot.

No I haven't - I haven't seen any offers that would tempt me.

Q1. How easy, or difficult, did you find it to understand Incahoot PLUS from the information provided on the Incahoot website? Was there anything in particular that was difficult to understand?

Very easy to understand

Q2. What, if any, other information would you have found useful to have on the site?

Nothing, really

Q3. How easy, or difficult, did you find it to navigate and use the Incahoot PLUS website? Did you find any specific areas particularly difficult? If so, why?

I find it incredibly disorganized and cluttered. The Discounts tab, especially, is impossible to browse easily. It would be better if it was lists with links to more details so more per page rather than pages and pages. Or even if the pages were, say Aa-Ab and so on rather than just numbers.

Q4. What did you like about the Incahoot PLUS website? What did you dislike? What would you like to see improved?

I don't actually like it at all. I think it needs a lot of work to be user friendly.

Q5. Have you used any discounts/offers through Incahoot PLUS so far? If yes, which ones? If no, are there any you are likely to use soon?

No. I was interested in 'My Local' except, being in Northern Ireland, there are almost no local discounts. I find the rest of the discounts to be poor.

Q6. From your first impressions of the service so far, how likely, or not, are you to recommend the service to a friend/relative? Why?

Would not recommend. Discounts too low, site to hard to use.

Q1. How easy, or difficult, did you find it to understand Incahoot PLUS from the information provided on the Incahoot website? Was there anything in particular that was difficult to understand?

It was easy, although I'm sure I'm missing the benefit of it.

Q2. What, if any, other information would you have found useful to have on the site?

I'm not sure. Like I said, I think I've missed the point of the service in failing to find what the yearly fee is actually for.

Q3. How easy, or difficult, did you find it to navigate and use the Incahoot PLUS website? Did you find any specific areas particularly difficult? If so, why?

It wasn't easy, and seemed to be a bit of a jumble. The lists of discounts were far too long, and navigating the site was a dull and fruitless exercise.

Q4. What did you like about the Incahoot PLUS website? What did you dislike? What would you like to see improved?

I found it to be so incredibly boring. Nothing grabbed me. It was a chore to look at.

Q5. Have you used any discounts/offers through Incahoot PLUS so far? If yes, which ones? If no, are there any you are likely to use soon?

No, I didn't stumble across any deals that appealed to me, or that were any better than deals I get anyway ie simply by being on a restaurant's mailing list. I will, in the interests of this product test, attempt to find some deals or discounts again, but I'm not convinced I'll be tempted to try any.
The local discounts were particularly disappointing, by the way.

Q6. From your first impressions of the service so far, how likely, or not, are you to recommend the service to a friend/relative? Why?

Not likely at all. I can't believe people would pay for the service. Unless I'm missing large swaths of exclusive discounts by being unable to navigate the site effectively, I don't see the point of it.

Q1. How easy, or difficult, did you find it to understand Incahoot PLUS from the information provided on the Incahoot website? Was there anything in particular that was difficult to understand?
Easy
Q2. What, if any, other information would you have found useful to have on the site?
Front page with most popular or exclusive offers
Q3. How easy, or difficult, did you find it to navigate and use the Incahoot PLUS website? Did you find any specific areas particularly difficult? If so, why?
Completely missed the separate tab for incahoot plus and failed to find any AA discounts. I realised I was missing a lot of discounts and eventually found the tab and the AA discount after I had signed up through topcashback.
Q4. What did you like about the Incahoot PLUS website? What did you dislike? What would you like to see improved?
It is OK, nothing eye catching. Easy to navigate (once I found the Incahoot plus tab) On the incahoot main site there is no search function, couldn't find the AA offer from there. You could make more of the potential savings on everyday grocery shopping. I only know that these reloadable cards could save you a lot of money as I use a similar scheme at work.
Q5. Have you used any discounts/offers through Incahoot PLUS so far? If yes, which ones? If no, are there any you are likely to use soon?
Looked at AA and car insurance but nothing on the main site interested me (had not found the plus tab and now too late). Thinking of an iphone purchase but with the special "up to 17%" discount the phone appears to be exactly the same price as through the O2 shop. It is unclear if this is cashback to be credited later? I don't understand this offer enough to trust it and will look elsewhere for a discount. Most of the other discounts I can access though a similar scheme offered by my employer. I may consider some of the reloadable gift cards for shops I don't currently have vouchers for, but the P&P fee and the fact that it may take 3 days for the credit to load is a little off putting.
Q6. From your first impressions of the service so far, how likely, or not, are you to recommend the service to a friend/relative? Why?
For the majority of the discounts I would not recommend to a friend as I can't see how you could save more than £30 a year to make it worth the effort. Maybe if you were to use it for all your grocery shopping it could save you some money so I might suggest to a friend who may not have this facility through their employer. (I already buy Sainsbury's vouchers at 5% through my employer . .with no annual fee.)

Q1. How easy, or difficult, did you find it to understand Incahoot PLUS from the information provided on the Incahoot website? Was there anything in particular that was difficult to understand?
Easy to understand.

Q2. What, if any, other information would you have found useful to have on the site?
I would of like a bit more info about the offers.

Q3. How easy, or difficult, did you find it to navigate and use the Incahoot PLUS website? Did you find any specific areas particularly difficult? If so, why?
I found it easy to navigate after getting the hang of it.

Q4. What did you like about the Incahoot PLUS website? What did you dislike? What would you like to see improved?
It seemed easy to navigate round.

Q5. Have you used any discounts/offers through Incahoot PLUS so far? If yes, which ones? If no, are there any you are likely to use soon?
No as none were worth the effort tbh, 3% for example is not worth the time spent sorting it out.

Q6. From your first impressions of the service so far, how likely, or not, are you to recommend the service to a friend/relative? Why?
No I would not.

I would like to add after reading Tee's post that The local section is rubbish, and I am in Northampton.
It is just Hairdressers. the same brand in different areas, a cheap looking pub that I doubt I would choose to step foot in, and a few motor garages.
I was hoping to see something like discounts for Hungry horse and tumble tots/ softplays/ swimming pools...
I think the site needs to cater for more family friendly options, especially with the thought to try it out on Mumsnet !

Monster, I'm glad, so to speak, that it's not just a case of 'horrible because I'm in NI', as is so often the case. I guess local is just horrible in general.

Q1. How easy, or difficult, did you find it to understand Incahoot PLUS from the information provided on the Incahoot website? Was there anything in particular that was difficult to understand?
It as easy enough to understand

Q2. What, if any, other information would you have found useful to have on the site?
None

Q3. How easy, or difficult, did you find it to navigate and use the Incahoot PLUS website? Did you find any specific areas particularly difficult? If so, why?
It was fine

Q4. What did you like about the Incahoot PLUS website? What did you dislike? What would you like to see improved?
My local section had a good variety of different discounts, just not on anything i need! I dont like the fact that you need to pay in advance to make a saving. I'm more of an impulse buyer!

Q5. Have you used any discounts/offers through Incahoot PLUS so far? If yes, which ones? If no, are there any you are likely to use soon?
Not yet but im moving house soon so might do then.

Q6. From your first impressions of the service so far, how likely, or not, are you to recommend the service to a friend/relative? Why?
Probably wouldnt. The up front payment would not be something they would like

Q1. How easy, or difficult, did you find it to understand Incahoot PLUS from the information provided on the Incahoot website? Was there anything in particular that was difficult to understand?
I found the website easy to navigate once I had worked out what it was as I had never heard of this service before.

Q2. What, if any, other information would you have found useful to have on the site?
Highlighted weekly special offers on homepage.

Q3. How easy, or difficult, did you find it to navigate and use the Incahoot PLUS website? Did you find any specific areas particularly difficult? If so, why?
I have been unable to activate my M&S card which was the main offer which I was interested in.

Q4. What did you like about the Incahoot PLUS website? What did you dislike? What would you like to see improved?
I like the discount in supermarkets this would be most benefit to myself however dislike the fact that you have to pre load the cards with cash these would be much better if you could simply show an incahoot membership card at the till. The local deals were limited no use to me, more local restaurant discounts would be good to see in the Harrogate area.

Q5. Have you used any discounts/offers through Incahoot PLUS so far? If yes, which ones? If no, are there any you are likely to use soon?
I have ordered the reloadable cards for Sainsbury?s and M&S but not yet used these as was put off by the fee to load these up and was unable to activate M&S.

Q6. From your first impressions of the service so far, how likely, or not, are you to recommend the service to a friend/relative? Why?
Not would struggle to make the joining fee back in a year

Q1. How easy, or difficult, did you find it to understand Incahoot PLUS from the information provided on the Incahoot website? Was there anything in particular that was difficult to understand?

I found the website fairly easy to understand and self-explanatory.

Q2. What, if any, other information would you have found useful to have

Areas in which the standard discounts i.e restaurant chains applied, some not applicable in Scotland)

Q3. How easy, or difficult, did you find it to navigate and use the Incahoot PLUS website? Did you find any specific areas particularly difficult? If so, why?

I tried to order some gift cards in June, but my payment would not go through as it said my card had expired..my card expiry date is actually 06/12 so it expires at the end of June. Felt local discounts should be more categorised, had to wade through pages of discounts and look at them all.

Q4. What did you like about the Incahoot PLUS website? What did you dislike? What would you like to see improved?

I liked the fact that a discount or cashback was available on quite a good range of items. I did not like the expensive postage cost of the gift cards or the limited range of local discounts on offer. I also felt many of the standard discounts were not available in Scotland. There wasn't a huge range of offers for broadband, which I would be interested in, and the offers weren't much better than you could get without joining.

Q5. Have you used any discounts/offers through Incahoot PLUS so far? If yes, which ones? If no, are there any you are likely to use soon?

Not yet -tried to order gift cards but it said my credit card had expired when it hadn't, which put me off. Considering a life insurance deal but need to look elsewhere first for comparison.

Q6. From your first impressions of the service so far, how likely, or not, are you to recommend the service to a friend/relative? Why?

Quite likely, more so if more offers became available.

Q1. How easy, or difficult, did you find it to understand Incahoot PLUS from the information provided on the Incahoot website? Was there anything in particular that was difficult to understand?

Quite easy to understand. I haven?t used any other cash back sites before so came to this with new eyes and found it easy enough to understand the concept and what was available.

Q2. What, if any, other information would you have found useful to have on the site?

If I were paying for this I would have wanted a sneak preview of some of the offers available. Obviously not the ones that you don't need to prove incahoot membership, but the cashback, vouchers and discount links which are only available to members would have encouraged me to sign up. In fact, I did look at the incahoot site previously and without KNOWING which stores were linked did not bother signing up. Having seen it now I know that most of the cashback reloadable cards are for stores which I frequent and so have ordered some.

Q3. How easy, or difficult, did you find it to navigate and use the Incahoot PLUS website? Did you find any specific areas particularly difficult? If so, why?

It seemed quite easy to look around. Very slow to load up at times, being in a rural area my internet is not always as it should be but this has been one of the slower sites I have been on lately.

Your search function is a bit rubbish, while on the fashion discounts page, with a number of retailers discount offers showing on the page I typed a few of their names into the search function to be told no discounts matched the search criteria, so something has gone seriously here. Searching for Argos as an example, only gives the 3% cashback store link up, and not the reloadable card link, it should really bring up ALL links to Argos.

Q4. What did you like about the Incahoot PLUS website? What did you dislike? What would you like to see improved?

Good, but quite basic. It had the feel of a well constructed small site which has grown significantly but hasn?t been updated to reflect the new size. A simple alphabetical list of all the stores for which offers are available would be useful.

A highly annoying thing I found is that the information for ?reloadable cards? available by clicking on the tab link at the top of the page gives no indication that there is a card processing fee for both credit and debit cards for loading money onto cards. Only when reading about the 50p processing fee on another person?s feedback did I have an inkling that there would be further fees apart from the initial purchasing fee. I had to find it by linking to the ?reloadable card? link at the bottom of the page which shows a little blue ?fee? link which then gives details of all the fees. This is very poor, and actually quite deceptive. Even putting in ?fees? in your search function only bought back several offers rather than any information on fees. I would be interested to know whether topping up all reloadable cards at the same time would incur a one off 50 p fee or a fee per card being topped up. I am assuming it is a whole of transaction fee but it doesn?t make it clear. Also interesting to note that if I topped up £20 on a reloadable card it seems it would be cheaper to pay by credit card than by debit card.

When viewing the discounts, you are able to jump ahead by up to 9 pages, but can only go backwards to the previous page.

Search function needs a LOT of work.

5. Have you used any discounts/offers through Incahoot PLUS so far? If yes, which ones? If no, are there any you are likely to use soon?

I have bought some reloadable cards and intend on using them. (People may worry about losing the card, Perhaps an insurance option?) I may buy vouchers, but that will probably be more for gifts.

I have had a look at the local discounts. The ones immediately in my area are of no real use to me. I will probably look up services in other areas before going there to see what is available, but can only do that if I know a postcode. Would be better if you could type in the name of the city instead of just the postcode.

I will probably use some of the discount links at some point. There are lots there and as searching is unreliable I don?t know if the stores I frequent are actually listed here.

6. From your first impressions of the service so far, how likely, or not, are you to recommend the service to a friend/relative? Why?

I would recommend it, with caveats. For people struggling with money it will be difficult to find the upfront money to purchase reloadable cards and vouchers. It is worth it to me because I do my shopping at Sainsburys. The online links to stores which will then give a cashback will, however, still be very useful, but perhaps not £29.99 worth of use.

Q1.
Easy to understand - though I'm not sure why you'd pay £30 for it.

Q2.
More info on offers available - it was a bit vague!!

Q3.
Easy to navigate - no problems.

Q4. The search function isn't very good. Needs more offers. The reloadable cards seem a little bit old fashioned in light of touch technology such as Oyster cards but I haven't got any yet so until I start using it properly I can't really say!

Q5. No. I was hoping to get a good deal on my car insurance but I didn't see anything better than the deal on the table from my current provider. There was quite a funny selection of discounts in my area - random things I don't even think I need are on offer!

Q6. I wouldn't recommend it based on what I've seen so far but I need to start using it properly to get a feel for how I can really save money.

Q1. How easy, or difficult, did you find it to understand Incahoot PLUS from the information provided on the Incahoot website? Was there anything in particular that was difficult to understand?
It was easy to understand, and I think I understand how it works.

Q2. What, if any, other information would you have found useful to have on the site?
more information on the exact offers available. I dont thin k i wouldve signed up and paid my £30 without knowing exactly what i could get, eg cashback percentages in particular stores.

Q3. How easy, or difficult, did you find it to navigate and use the Incahoot PLUS website? Did you find any specific areas particularly difficult? If so, why?
I found it easy to use and find the offers although the quantity of offers is a little overwhelming at first

Q4. What did you like about the Incahoot PLUS website? What did you dislike? What would you like to see improved?
I actually like the map function on the local offers section so you can see at a glance where the local offers are.
Q5. Have you used any discounts/offers through Incahoot PLUS so far? If yes, which ones? If no, are there any you are likely to use soon?
I havent used any yet but i am tempted to get a re loadable card for the supermarket. We are trying to svae money at the moment though and arent having meals out or clothes shopping etc, but i will definitly check the site before i did buy anything.
Q6. From your first impressions of the service so far, how likely, or not, are you to recommend the service to a friend/relative? Why?
I would recommend the site as it is easy to use, but not sure I'd recommend paying £30 a year, as i dont think I'd make the money back myself.

It is easy to get around.

Q4. What did you like about the Incahoot PLUS website? What did you dislike? What would you like to see improved?

There is nothing that has interested me so far.

Q6. From your first impressions of the service so far, how likely, or not, are you to recommend the service to a friend/relative? Why?

I registered with Incahoot via the link provided in the email from Mumsnet and subsequently had an introductory email from Incahoot (23 May).
I am able to log in to the basic site but to date I have not received a further email to say that I have been upgraded to PLUS membership nor have I received anything in the post as was indicated would be the case.

As a result of this my feedback is limited:

  1. I could understand what Incahoot PLUS was about from the information provided.
  2. Further examples or a free sample/access period would be useful. I would not sign up to a paid for service without fully knowing what it entailed.
  3. I do not have access to the PLUS site as I have not been upgraded nor received anything in the post as promised by Incahoot.

  5. I do not have access to the PLUS site as I have not been upgraded nor received anything in the post as promised by Incahoot.
  6. My first impressions are not good based on the fact that I have still not been upgraded nor received a welcome pack in the post. I would be reluctant to recommend such a paid-for service to a friend/relative with this poor level of customer service.

Q3. How easy, or difficult, did you find it to navigate and use the Incahoot PLUS website? Did you find any specific areas particularly difficult? If so, why? It was too simple as there doesn't seem to be enough there to get lost or justify the annual fee.

Following on from my post on Tue 19 June, I have received my reloadable cards, and have tried loading money onto 5 of them. 24 hours after loading I have attempted check the balances.

You say:
"We recommend that you check that the balance has been loaded onto your card correctly. This can be done by clicking on the [£] icon by the card details in your Activated card list."

Seems simple, but in reality a real pain. What you don?t say is that the [£] symbol takes you through to that company?s website and you need to enter the card number in order to check the balance. That is if that company even does it online. This is my result so far:

Costa: - Took me through to a page which is titled ?Check your gift card balance? but is otherwise blank. Nowhere to enter the card number. Not your fault I know. But I can?t even find a phone number to ring.

Sainsburys ? link is dead. Had to do a google search and was given a phone number to ring ? their website did give me the options to choose when calling which made it as fast as possible so not too bad. Money has been loaded onto the card successfully.

B&Q ? link worked. Entered details online. Money not yet loaded onto card.

Boots ? Dead link. Googled to try to find out how to check the balance. Could not find out how to on the Boots site ? only a number from which to buy cards. Guess I could try ringing it, but website says it is only open during business hours.

Argos: - Dead link. Googled to find the balance checker. Can only find details on Argos site to buy a card, nothing about checking the balance. Rang the number to buy cards, opening hours are business hours.

You do say to allow up to 3 days for the money to load so I'm not worried about the money not being on there yet, but you MUST get your links sorted, and you MUST make it clearer how each card's balance can be checked. Also, you should make sure the links open in a new page, rather than opening over the Incahoots page. To get back to the Incahoots page required a lot of clicking on the 'back' button.

Q1. How easy, or difficult, did you find it to understand Incahoot PLUS from the information provided on the Incahoot website? Was there anything in particular that was difficult to understand?

It was easy to understand.

Q2. What, if any, other information would you have found useful to have on the site?

If they listed the sort of products they actually sell. Thing is, I expected more than what they offered. I was expecting deals on food, books, clothes, media, etc. Stuff that I buy on a regular basis. None of which they did.

Q3. How easy, or difficult, did you find it to navigate and use the Incahoot PLUS website? Did you find any specific areas particularly difficult? If so, why?

It was easy to navigate.

Q4. What did you like about the Incahoot PLUS website? What did you dislike? What would you like to see improved?

It seems well organised, well categorised. But really lacking in choice and scope. It needs to be selling more products and from a larger range of brands for it to be interesting to me.

Q5. Have you used any discounts/offers through Incahoot PLUS so far? If yes, which ones? If no, are there any you are likely to use soon?

Nope, sorry. Nothing caught my eye except for the Ipad one, but I wasn't interested in purchasing a data allowance contract with it (just wanted an Ipad on its own) so didn't take it up in the end.

Q6. From your first impressions of the service so far, how likely, or not, are you to recommend the service to a friend/relative? Why?

I would not recommend it as yet. It just seems really lacking, the shop space is "bare" with not much product to look at, deals weren't really that good, and just seems like a website in its infancy which has a lot more yet to be done with it.

Oh and the membership card they sent me had my surname down wrong. I have a non-English double-worded surname and only one of the words in the surname were included on the card. I was very unimpressed.

I just realised I have never looked at Incahoot PLUS, just Incahoot. So my previous review was just for Incahoot. Sorry about that. I will go check out Incahoot Plus now and get back to you with another review.

Q1. How easy, or difficult, did you find it to understand Incahoot PLUS from the information provided on the Incahoot website? Was there anything in particular that was difficult to understand?

I understand the site but i do already use cashback sites nothing that is difficult to understand.

Q2. What, if any, other information would you have found useful to have on the site?

If anything there is too much information on the home page

Q3. How easy, or difficult, did you find it to navigate and use the Incahoot PLUS website? Did you find any specific areas particularly difficult? If so, why?

The whole site is very cluttered the pop up asking if i need help appeared twice before i eventually got rid of it.

Q4. What did you like about the Incahoot PLUS website? What did you dislike? What would you like to see improved?

There is not a lot to like about the incahoot plus web site i think it is confused. (if a website can be confused)
I think you could look at quidco for a model of simplicity - i appreciate that there is more on offer than at quidco but i think the layout could be cleaner

Q5. Have you used any discounts/offers through Incahoot PLUS so far? If yes, which ones? If no, are there any you are likely to use soon?
No I have not used any offers as and when i make a purchase i will look at incahoot and compare it to other cashback sites.

Q6. From your first impressions of the service so far, how likely, or not, are you to recommend the service to a friend/relative? Why?

I would not recommend it to a friend unless they were already using cashback services as i think it is offering too much and would confuse a first time user.

Okay, have just checked Incahoot PLUS out now and can report on the following (if I encounter any further problems with using any of the deals, will add further comments to this thread) :

Q1. How easy, or difficult, did you find it to understand Incahoot PLUS from the information provided on the Incahoot website? Was there anything in particular that was difficult to understand?

Quite easy. Not hard to understand what it was about.

Q2. What, if any, other information would you have found useful to have on the site?

I think it would be nice if help and explanation on how to use the offers were given under each shop listing as I found I had to click on the specific Help/FAQ pages to get the information, so it required quite a few clicks for me to find out more about how to use the deals.

Q3. How easy, or difficult, did you find it to navigate and use the Incahoot PLUS website? Did you find any specific areas particularly difficult? If so, why?

The website itself seems quite cluttered. There are lots of deals but I think maybe alphabetically-listing the shops would have made navigating easier - I didn't like turning the pages to see offers from A-Z and stopped after about page 3. I could be enticed into an offer or two if I found the browsing easier I suppose, but I just didn't like the idea of trawling through page after page.

I did resort to using the search function to see if the shops I normally buy from have any listings there but they didn't and if they did, the offers were either unusable (because they were for first time customers only) or the discount wasn't enough to make me want to bother with it.

Q4. What did you like about the Incahoot PLUS website? What did you dislike? What would you like to see improved?

I liked the variety of shops on offer. I am not fond of the way the website is organised. I wish there were more deals from the supermarkets other than only deals for first-time customers for online grocery shopping. I also wish there were more bookshop deals other than just from CDWOW. An Amazon partnership would be nice :) Oh, and not enough high street shop partnerships either... I did not see some of my favourite shops there.

Q5. Have you used any discounts/offers through Incahoot PLUS so far? If yes, which ones? If no, are there any you are likely to use soon?

I did print out some vouchers to use for my London trip with DDs soon. The deals were quite good. Hopefully there won't be any hiccups with using them there. If there are I will report back.

Q6. From your first impressions of the service so far, how likely, or not, are you to recommend the service to a friend/relative? Why?

I would recommend it to a friend/relative now, but I would warn them it might take them a bit of time to trawl through the pages of deals unless they were only shopping for specific deals/shops (in which case, the search function on the site could be utilised instead).
