AnnMumsnet (MNHQ) Thu 07-Jul-11 14:32:00

Following on from the fab Ford S-MAX and Galaxy testing in Christmas '09-10 and a variety of other projects in 2010, Ford have asked us to now find a total of 15 Mumsnetters and their families from across the UK to take part in a three week test drive. This time we have three newly launched cars on offer - you can choose from...

C-MAX - a 5 seater, featuring

~ Five flexible seats
~ Power operated tailgate
~ Panoramic roof and interior
~ Active Park Assist

Grand C-MAX - a 7 seater, featuring

~ Seven flexible seats
~ Power operated tailgate
~ Sliding doors
~ Active Park Assist

or the Focus, featuring

~ Active City Stop
~ Active Park Assist
~ Lane Keeping Aid
~ Traffic Sign Recognition

Ford kindly let JustineMumsnet and CarrieMumsnet put the Grand C-MAX's through their paces recently - have a look at the video to see them in action

The team at Ford say "We're delighted to be working with Mumsnet again in 2011. We are looking forward to finding out what Mumsnetters think of the all new Ford C-MAX, Grand C-MAX and the Focus"

Conditions - please read
You can use the car for anything (legal) - but you would need to pay for any fuel you use, as well as any parking permits or parking/traffic fines.

Insurance will be arranged as long as you:-

~ are aged 25 or over
~ have had a full driving licence for three years or more and
~ have no convictions for dangerous driving.

What will test drivers need to do?
If selected, you would need to be able to offer feedback about the car on Talk at least twice a week for the duration of the three week test plus a final round up of your thoughts.

We will also be asking you to use the video camera provided to film yourself reviewing the car with your family plus we'll need a photo of you with the car and some details about you and your family. All footage, photos and information may be shown on Mumsnet and potentially used by Ford elsewhere.

Timetable
The test drives are scheduled to take place as follows - each one will last 3 weeks.

Please only apply for a car when you are around and able to test the car as well as add your feedback.

C-MAX w/c 25 July to c14 Aug x 5 testers
Grand C-MAX w/c 15 Aug to c4 Sept x 5 testers
Focus w/c 12 Sept to c2 Oct x 5 testers

If selected your name and contact details would be passed to the team at Ford who would make arrangements to deliver the car on a convenient day and time to suit you.

If you're interested in taking part please sign up by clicking here.

If you are selected, we'll be in touch.

If you're selected for the test drive and add feedback as required on Mumsnet, you will receive £100 of John Lewis vouchers.

Thanks and good luck

Oooooh, I can't get the link to work though!

AnnMumsnet (MNHQ) Thu 07-Jul-11 14:34:50

gremlin alert on mn....!

BorisTheBold Thu 07-Jul-11 14:35:32

Can now!

AnnMumsnet (MNHQ) Thu 07-Jul-11 17:01:33

You can also view the video made by Justine and Carrie individually here and here

5inthebed Thu 07-Jul-11 17:04:26

Can we request to take part if we have already done one in the past?

5inthebed Thu 07-Jul-11 17:07:38

Wow, I want a magic car that parks itself!

magnolia74 Thu 07-Jul-11 17:24:45

Omg I have now had my licence for 3 years so can do it grin grin

If selected, would we be able to take the car out of the country?? Just we have a holiday booked during those dates to Europe so I just wondered if I could still apply

DilysPrice Thu 07-Jul-11 17:46:04

Ooh, we're just about to replace our car so could do with a 3 week test drive, but would we be able to get an automatic? <Londoners who can't be doing with gears>

mumatron Thu 07-Jul-11 17:51:26

I tried to sign up for this one earlier, not sure if it went through or not. Pressed submit but I just got a blank screen. Can you let me know please mnhq?

Thanks.

LawrieMarlow Thu 07-Jul-11 18:11:37

Is there any flexibility on date of return? Am going away on holiday on 6th August but would be interested in trying the CMax so would it be possible for it to get picked up on the 5th?

Also wonder what the excess on the insurance would be (not that I would intend to crash at all of course)

nevergoogle Thu 07-Jul-11 18:15:45

Can I do it again? is mumsnet hungry for another installment of me dancing while driving?

AnnMumsnet (MNHQ) Thu 07-Jul-11 18:16:53

Hi Lawrie - yes there would be flexibility on this. Not sure about excess...

There are a couple of other questions above which I will ask and get back to you all tomorrow about.

mumatron - don't think yours did, sorry

AnnMumsnet (MNHQ) Thu 07-Jul-11 18:18:05

nevergoogle - your dancing is legendary you know grin

LawrieMarlow Thu 07-Jul-11 18:20:54

shock I just looked at the Active Park Assist thing.

I need that. A lot grin

AnnMumsnet (MNHQ) Thu 07-Jul-11 18:22:22

Did you like Carrie screaming when she parked? I laughed at her. A lot.

DilysPrice Thu 07-Jul-11 18:33:25

Also, silly question, what's the privacy situation? Having put a small amount of effort into maintaining a MN persona which does not allow my workmates to assess the depth of my feelings for Gethin Jones or details of my EWM, how does that work when a video of the entire family goes up on the website? Do people just namechange before entering the survey?
I guess it's our own choice about the risk/reward balance isn't it?

nevergoogle Thu 07-Jul-11 18:35:34

why thankyou Ann <curtsey>

i'd love to do another installment. these days i could fill it with zimmers for work. grin

Doobydoo Thu 07-Jul-11 18:42:25

DONE(smile)

AnnMumsnet (MNHQ) Thu 07-Jul-11 18:46:03

Dilysprice - it's not a silly question. Obviously this is a review where you will be filmed. You are welcome to namechange for the feedback thread and the video will almost certainly feature your RL first name eg "Sally from Southampton reviews the Focus...." you should think about this aspect before applying.

fivegomadindorset Thu 07-Jul-11 19:17:56

Just entetred i hope. My car is very sick.

Have entered anyway, but have explained about the holiday in the commenets section.
If it is a problem then you'll just have to let me test drive my second choice grin

mumatron Thu 07-Jul-11 19:55:21

I give up! I've tried 3 times to enter and it just takes me back to the start again sad

allthefires Thu 07-Jul-11 20:01:34

Can you check it has gone through? Not sure it has.

Shame there isn't an option to enter to test any as due to our family expansion our choices are currently new second car or go down the 7 seater route so would be interested in any of the cars!

Oh! So exciting! Would ADORE this

Do you have to video just out of interest? The survey does give the option to say no.

Milngavie Thu 07-Jul-11 20:40:20

I've entered grin. Really hoping we're chosen as we're travelling to a friends wedding during the trial period and would be able to give the car a great test.

Laughed at Justine screaming at the car parking itself I would too grin.

mumatron Thu 07-Jul-11 20:58:54

right, I think i finally managed to get it done.

I think I deserve to be picked after the nightmare i have had applying for this one grin

bosch Thu 07-Jul-11 22:05:02

Oh my GOD. I had no idea that you could buy a car that parks itself. Sadly watched video after I entered comp, otherwise I would have raved on about it there and you wouldn't have to read it here. That is just so impressive. Do you think you HAVE to be sat in the drivers seat, can you do it from the pavement? Shame it won't be school term, I'd love to freak the other mums out on the school run...

oh, btw, Done!

fruitshootsandheaves Thu 07-Jul-11 22:08:42

Do we get to keep the car?
grin

fruitshootsandheaves Thu 07-Jul-11 22:13:00

We would like to test the Grand C-Max as there are too many of us to fit in anything else! But if we were picked we wouldn't be available till 18th August would this be a problem? is it still worth entering?

nelix2000 Thu 07-Jul-11 22:16:54

I NEED that parking feature!!!! I can't parallel park for toffee!!

Shinyshoes1 Thu 07-Jul-11 22:20:55

I have a C-MAX They are LUVERLY. Especially the beep beep beep when u are reversing and you might just be about to hit something.

Oh and the aircon !

lisad123 Thu 07-Jul-11 22:34:15

I want to try them but am away in aug but do they con with tow bar? Then I could feed back on grand c max and weather it's good for a family of four and dog going camping gringrin

Ineedacleaneriamalazyslattern Thu 07-Jul-11 22:48:28

I entered earlier I would LOVE this loads of places I want to take the kids this summer but no car anymore to do it with.
I am never lucky though so not optimistic ooooh should have said I would give it a good test drive through the Highlands grin

Ineedacleaneriamalazyslattern Thu 07-Jul-11 22:53:32

OMG just weed my pants at the parking thing...I avoid parking like that if it can be helped because I am rubbish at it so I will if given one of these to test massively massively give that a good going over.

Wow! I just watched the videos, these cars are amazing! Why do you even need a licence? They can park, stop and read signs on their own!
Anyway, I've signed up, as I can give it a versatile test (city, rural, toddler, adults, baby, pushchair, carseats, camping) See, I'd be great! grin grin
(I must add most of the above are friends/family I tend to take out, I didn't lie on the application grin )

I'd love to try the C Max, but am driving up to Devon on Aug 6th and returning the following day which is presumably the actual collection day. MNHQ do you think Ford would collect on the 8th instead? (could you put in a good word for me please?! wink)

AnnMumsnet (MNHQ) Fri 08-Jul-11 08:05:48

SoloAgainItSeems - think there will be some flexibility on collections of cars...so long as we have contact details for you - and you put it on the form we can pass it on (if you are chosen)

lisad123 Fri 08-Jul-11 08:56:38

can you check to see if any of them have a tow bar and if we would be allowed to use it please? Thanks

lisad123 Fri 08-Jul-11 09:07:46

it says it comes as a package, but hoping they might add one. Taking one of these camping would make for a great review. I want to know how much space there is for children, clothes, bedding and a large dog smile

TheRealMBJ Fri 08-Jul-11 09:52:15

AnnMumsnet I have had a full driving licence for 12 years but only converted to full UK licence last year. Could I still be eligible?

Not sure if message has got through? When I press submit it goes back to home page - very frustrating grin did this with fridgefreezer too. Help!

AnnMumsnet (MNHQ) Fri 08-Jul-11 11:36:58

nospringflower - that's fine -that's what it is supposed to do!
TheRealMBJ - I'll ask

Someone asked re taking the car overseas, I'm afraid that is not possible
Automatics - the C-Max is available as an automatic. Please put on your form somewhere if you need an automatic
We are checking on tow bars

Seaholly Fri 08-Jul-11 12:00:40

Have been umming and aahing about changing my car for ages, Now that we don't have to haul a buggy about it will be interesting to see how we would get on with a smaller car, currently have a people carrier and three children under six, but need to cut the fuel bill so would love to see how we get on so we can make a decision!

TheRealMBJ Fri 08-Jul-11 12:07:17

Thank you. We are looking at buying a new family car, so it would be great to have a go smile

ibbydibby Fri 08-Jul-11 12:17:00

AnnMumsnet, any idea when the lucky mners will be announced. Had a go yesterday, and am now a bit worried that it didn't go through, reading other posts here. Wish I had put a bit more oooomph into why I wanted to do it!

mumatron Fri 08-Jul-11 12:17:36

annemumsnet can you let me know if my entry finally went through? I only had to try it about a million times.

I'm dying to do this one, i've been after a c-max for ever but dp isn't too keen. Hopefully a test drive would sway him.

Thanks AnnMumsnet did that already smile

maxybrown Fri 08-Jul-11 12:23:24

can we apply if ONLY our partner will be driving it please? ie - erm not me driving, just him? blush

AnnMumsnet (MNHQ) Fri 08-Jul-11 12:55:53

Hi
Slight change of dates for C-MAX - now will start w/c 25 July-c.14 Aug - if you applied for the C-MAX as your first choice or chose 'any' and now can't do that please let me know. If you are selected we'll double check then too in case you don't spot this.

AnnMumsnet (MNHQ) Fri 08-Jul-11 13:00:42

maxybrown - do apply but please make a note on the form
mumatron - it did, sorry you had problems
ibbydibby - next week hopefully! your form went in

maxybrown Fri 08-Jul-11 13:17:48

Thanks Ann smile

mumatron Fri 08-Jul-11 13:29:52

Yay! Thanks Anne

Oh that's good that mine have worked then. I was just expecting something along the lines of - thank you. Your information has been submitted . Now i just need to wait to see if I will have a big fridge freezer while driving a car that parks itself wink

Oh I sooooo want to do this.

aristocat Fri 08-Jul-11 13:59:23

yes please smile

ibbydibby Fri 08-Jul-11 14:21:10

Thanks Anne. Can you clarify re dates of C-Max please as they don't look any different (or is there something I am not quite getting?!!)

fivegomadindorset Fri 08-Jul-11 14:26:21

Well as my car is well and truly fucked this would be a godsend for three weeks.

AnnMumsnet (MNHQ) Fri 08-Jul-11 14:29:48

ibby - I amended the dates above so yes they look the same but they didn't before (IYKWIM) - so those who applied before this pm would have applied for the old dates!

ibbydibby Fri 08-Jul-11 14:41:39

Oh.....I see what you mean. I did say that I could do the C-Max (first one) and the focus, but the last few days of C-Max would now clash with hols...but presume this would be sorted if I was chosen?

(sorry for slowness on dates!)

I'm happy with any date!!!

EvianBaby Fri 08-Jul-11 15:09:37

Ooh I hope my entry went through, would love to try a new car that would fit our growing family in and we really need to get around to looking into a more practical one! The last holiday we went on we had to take two cars! smile

I've been driving Fords most of my life having inherited my Dad's old ones. First was a Escort Mark 2, then a Sierra, a Fiesta, and Mark 2 & 3 Mondeos. My ultimate car would be a Sierra Cosworth grin it's the girl racer in me! But would love to test drive a Grand C Max or the new Focus. Have yet to see the videos, but will try and watch them at the weekend smile

Can I ask, I put down my preferences re models but I am available and very happy to try any of the three! There wasn't a space to indicate this however, but can it please be taken into account?

AnnMumsnet (MNHQ) Fri 08-Jul-11 18:37:11

bella - there was an option for "Any/ can do any of these" on first choice..but what you've put is fine! cheers

hotnspicy - you should have come to Donington when Ford took loads of MNers last Oct - we had hot laps in an RS with a professional driver grin - was ace!

yes, I saw that, put I REEEEEALLY want to try the C-max wotsit so I put that first

IwishIwasmoreorganised Fri 08-Jul-11 19:54:03

Done! Fingers crossed!

Pavlovthecat Fri 08-Jul-11 20:13:36

oh oh oh oh oh! we have a c-max! and we want a c-max grand! <jumps up and down trying to get Ford's attention>

I also really really want a car that beeps when I reverse, do you think that is a good enough reason?!!

Tonksforthememories Fri 08-Jul-11 22:11:45

I've entered! Due to problems with electrics on our recent trip to Europe i now Loathe my car and am hunting for a new one.

Perfect timing for a test drive methinks! grin

allthefires Fri 08-Jul-11 22:21:08

Annmumsnet

Have done another survey this time with any car as first choice. Can you check its gone through as it doesnt thank you for completing just takes you to ford page. thanks

I'm a bit worried now that my entry hasn't gone through, and I desperately want to try one (I always miss the product tests and was so pleased to find this one!)
Ann , would you mind checking that mine went through? Thanks grin
Also, new dates are fine with me! Are the cars petrol or diesel? Do we get a choice if we get through? <sensible side pushing through excitement>

fiveisanawfullybignumber Sat 09-Jul-11 09:54:43

Oooh, it doesn't confirm whether your form went through or not.
Would love to see how the Grand C Max measures up to my Grand Espace. Although mine is oldish so I'm sure I'd love a newer one!

fiveisanawfullybignumber Sat 09-Jul-11 10:03:08

OMG! Have just seen the video with the Active park demo, I LOVE IT!!!!!
I cannot parallel park to save my life, especially in my big old bus. DH can and I find it really infuriating. Maybe I could pretend it's me doing it.grin

fiveisanawfullybignumber Sat 09-Jul-11 12:24:14

Sorry AnnMumsnet, is mine there too? Thank you.

snala Sat 09-Jul-11 12:43:59

hiddenhome Sat 09-Jul-11 13:35:00

We already have a C-Max grin

Loooopy Sat 09-Jul-11 15:05:25

i entered yesterday, really hoping to be one of the lucky ones, would really like to try the Grand C Max, preferably the Titanium 2.0 diesel as that's the one i like the look of spec-wise but don't know if we'd get a say in what model it is?. Active Parking looked amazing and we really need a bigger car and don't see the point in buying a slightly bigger one now to then have to upgrade again in a year or two - would rather persuade OH to get a 7 seater now and i love fords, the idea of driving one for 3 weeks sounds brilliant!!! only thing that could top that is if they turn around at the end and say we could keep it lol ! (and thats highly unlikely, about as likely as me winning the Euromillions jackpot!)

Having been through a Fiesta and now have a very old KA. I would love a FOCUS. grin My Brother and sister drive them and my Dad has a Galaxy.
When my KA fails goes in for MOT in 2 weeks I'll find out if I'm buying a new car sooner rather than later. grin

Done smile

escape Sun 10-Jul-11 00:22:16

Sorry to be a pain, Anne - can you confirm you have my 'application' please? This is one I really don't want to miss smile TIA x

Wow, I would love to do this. Our present car hasn't got long left in her, poor thing sad

AnnMumsnet (MNHQ) Sun 10-Jul-11 10:26:02

escape, Reality, fiveisanawfullybignumber, snala - yep we have your forms - thanks and thanks for being so keen everyone!
You don't get to keep the car I'm afraid though guys!

irishbird Sun 10-Jul-11 10:30:34

Would love to try out the Grand C-Max. We (alright, me rather than DH who already has nice shiny car) are thinking of changing to a 7 seater and the Grand is on the list.... It would be fab to try it out and to see whether it has any of those niggles in cars that you never notice on the 15 minute test drive at the dealers. I really want to know if you can fit extended rear facing car seats in it for instance...

toomuchmonthatendofthemoney Sun 10-Jul-11 16:25:27

wow this would be so ace!! really hope they would consider me up here in the north!!

johnworf Sun 10-Jul-11 23:06:48

Oh ME, ME, ME, ME!!! Pretty please grin

LawrieMarlow Mon 11-Jul-11 13:39:08

When do we find out <impatient grin>?

Ineedacleaneriamalazyslattern Mon 11-Jul-11 15:32:05

I will be refreshing my email hourly regularly but I am not optimistic they would send one up to me here in darkest North East Scotland... don't even get a decent concert artist this far north. sad
I'm moving to London so I get more goodies grin

DoraJarr Mon 11-Jul-11 19:03:13

carries parking made me lol

AnnMumsnet (MNHQ) Mon 11-Jul-11 19:18:33

Ford are having a meeting on Wed to go through the list so it'll be some time yet!

DoraJarr Mon 11-Jul-11 19:19:43

they ll want me on SO MUCH

DoraJarr Mon 11-Jul-11 19:21:47

ann look i have SO much to reccy my applic.
mostly cricket kit based.

needanewname Tue 12-Jul-11 11:45:59

Oooh I hope I'm picked!

DH has been waiting for this product test since the last one, we filled in the aplication form but I don't drive only have a provisional licence and so he would be the driver, and I can't remember if we said that on the form.

ibbydibby Wed 13-Jul-11 09:38:24

Ann, out of interest do you have any idea of how many applied to do this? Am just trying to work out my chances..... blush

mumatron Wed 13-Jul-11 11:07:19

Wonder when the lovely people at ford will be making their decision? grin

Ok now I really hope I'm picked as my car seems to have something new wrong with it every bloody day!

fivegomadindorset Wed 13-Jul-11 20:28:40

I feel your pain needanewname, the one we got 9 weeks ago is now unroadworthy (and was when we bought it) and we are currntly in the process of taking dealers to small claims court as they refuse tofix it.

BumperlicicusTotalus Wed 13-Jul-11 20:34:42

Any news?

Ineedacleaneriamalazyslattern Wed 13-Jul-11 21:42:09

I keep imagining myself testing one of the cars too but I have no bloody luck at the moment I doubt it would be me.
Would love it to take the kids to see their GP's can't afford to hire a car and do it this year so this would be so great for us.

<paces floor and refreshes emails again >

needanewname Thu 14-Jul-11 10:41:54

Would it help if I say I'll be camping in that time so would be able to test it out has to how much shit essential stuff I can fit it?!

Good luck five, sounds shitty.

Am I the only one getting over-excited and imagining packing up the car for camping, pulling up at playgroup and everyone saying "ooh, new car?", etc? grin

Does anyone know, do we get told by Ford or MN if we've been selected? Only I can't remember if I gave a mobile number and I'm out for the day tomorrow and don't want to miss a call and miss out if I've been picked! <anxious>

AnnMumsnet (MNHQ) Thu 14-Jul-11 13:09:33

sorry still sorting it out...!

Ineedacleaneriamalazyslattern Thu 14-Jul-11 14:06:08

My pelvic floor cannot handle much more tension...I am desperately trying to practice my stoic and happy for everyone else face when I miss out grin confused shock smile it is a combination of all of those.

needanewname Thu 14-Jul-11 14:25:16

Snap!! The tension is killing me blush

mummyontherun Thu 14-Jul-11 18:27:56

So have they decided yet? When is my car being delivered (she asks hopefully!)

AnnMumsnet (MNHQ) Thu 14-Jul-11 18:44:59

Emails just gone out...thanks to everyone who applied and sorry if you weren't selected - a tough job to choose people. Well done if you were lucky this time.

Do look out for loads and loads of product tests coming soon...Helen and I are working our socks off at the mo and we have lots of surveys with great prize draws on the way too grin

allthefires Thu 14-Jul-11 19:16:21

That'll be a no then!

fivegomadindorset Thu 14-Jul-11 19:18:25

Oh well, back to trying to get the scumbags to fix my car.

mumatron Thu 14-Jul-11 19:19:08

Gutted! I really wanted this one sad

Seaholly Thu 14-Jul-11 19:53:02

Well I keep F5ing but nothing appears so I guess I didn't get this one..Happy driving to those that get selected! Will keep my fingers crossed for the next test/survey - Can it be a holiday for five to somewhere hot and sunny please?

smokinaces Thu 14-Jul-11 20:19:54

Gutting!! Not me either! And could have really done with it for our mini holiday 3 days away in the summer!!!

I didn't think I'd get it as I have no off road parking... <sigh>

needanewname Thu 14-Jul-11 23:20:56

Bugger!

Loooopy Fri 15-Jul-11 09:08:27

Gutted that i wasn't one of the lucky ones either sad

Boo, not me then. Still looking forward to hearing some of the feedback though
.

ibbydibby Fri 15-Jul-11 11:18:54

I keep lurking here to see a post from someone who has been chosen....I wonder if there has been so much excitement on this those who have been chosen are lying low....either that or they are driving around in their Fords.....

vnmum Fri 15-Jul-11 13:02:42

I've got one, The grand c max. Can't wait. commiserations to all those who didn't get one. Its just a shame we can't keep the cars like with other product tests, now that would be fab grin

I got the C MAX, can't wait smile I've never been chosen for anything like this before so it's pretty exciting. Thanks Mumsnet and Ford.

Reality Fri 15-Jul-11 14:34:15

Message withdrawn at poster's request.

Yay I got the Grand CMax too. Have just noticed there's actually 15 cars being tested in total so that puts paid to DH's theory that Ford will fall in love with our kids and let us keep the cargrin. Haircuts all round though, I think LOL.

Ineedacleaneriamalazyslattern Fri 15-Jul-11 18:17:32

I got one. c-max. I still cannot believe it I never usually get picked for things so am really excited. So gutted for those that didn't though. We get it on the first day of my week off work so getting to go and visit my folks so give it a good test in the highlands.

I got a Cmax too, I'm so excited! I never even get chance to enter let alone get picked for the good tests. silkstalkings I was kind of hoping that would be the case too - everyone loves DS's hair grin
Really gutted for everyone who didn't get picked sad

Soloagain I wondered that about off road parking too. My postcode in an insurance generator is really bad (though I have never seen any problems with cars round here in 2 years) and premiums are high. That and no off road parking probably meant they werent keen on my area!

Hmmm...who knows! but if that's the case, they should say so before we all beg apply wink

AnnMumsnet (MNHQ) Mon 18-Jul-11 10:03:27

smokin/solo - Ford didn't see any postcodes before selecting.

Hi Ann,
I haven't heard from Ford yet, since receiving your email. Is that normal?
Thanks

Ineedacleaneriamalazyslattern Mon 18-Jul-11 16:28:17

I haven't heard either and have started panicking about putting my phone number down wrong or something.

AnnMumsnet (MNHQ) Mon 18-Jul-11 18:51:53

Hi - I sent over the details today so am sure they'll be in touch tomorrow/soon. I am helping on a school trip to a farm in a meeting all day tomorrow but if you don't hear please could you email insight@mumsnet.com and Helen will ask for you? Thanks

Thanks- enjoy the farm!

I just came on here about to ask when we're likely to hear; I'd had much the same panic as Ineedacleaner ! grin

Hope Ann enjoyed the farm!
(PS. Ann I had my survey prize, thanks!)

Ineedacleaneriamalazyslattern Tue 19-Jul-11 21:08:59

Glad i'm not the only one grin it's worse than waiting for Christmas this.

AnnMumsnet (MNHQ) Tue 19-Jul-11 21:23:11

Farm meeting was grand thanks...30 odd 5 year olds having fun! (am having a wine now, though!)

Will ask my Ford folks when you should expect a call tomorrow.

Ineedacleaneriamalazyslattern Tue 19-Jul-11 22:05:10

I don't remember if I gave my home or mobile number now and I'm going out tomorrow for a while and I'm scared they miss me and pick someone else instead.

aristocat Tue 19-Jul-11 23:12:03

<<phew>> ..... no news here either

AnnMumsnet (MNHQ) Wed 20-Jul-11 09:46:44

aristocat Thu 21-Jul-11 10:44:08

is it still due to start on Monday? i haven't been contacted yet - has anyone heard?

Ineedacleaneriamalazyslattern Thu 21-Jul-11 10:54:40

I just got called about 20 minutes ago and am getting the car delivered on Tuesday sometime between 9 and 5 but the person delivering it will call me on Monday with a more approximate time.
So they have started calling.

aristocat Thu 21-Jul-11 10:58:11

oooh thanks Ineed thats great news smile

I got a call this afternoon and an email to say the car is being delivered Wednesday smile
When will the feedback thread be up? (please note the newest car I've ever had was about 6 years old so there may be some over-excited gushing to begin with grin )

aristocat Thu 21-Jul-11 20:59:32

yes, i had a call today & the car will be delivered on tuesday grin

I had the answerphone message and email today to confirm it is being delivered on Wednesday. I wonder, will it come with any fuel? I don't get paid until Friday to put more deisel in!!

IwishIwasmoreorganised Sun 24-Jul-11 21:35:13

Oooh! How exciting for you all!

Please, please report back about the active park assist, especially those testing the Grand C Max - I was amazed about that on the you tube clip and it could swing things regarding my next car (I've never even thought about a Ford before so might well see if I can test drive one if you lot think they're good!)

VodkaDash Tue 26-Jul-11 09:56:24

Woop Woop!
Car being delivered on thursday - how excited am I grin grin

aristocat Tue 26-Jul-11 10:34:53

Ineedacleaneriamalazyslattern Tue 26-Jul-11 10:35:33

Bet you are not yet as excited as me grin
My delivery man (poor guy) is on his way to Aberdeen from Peterborough as we speak and is expecting to get here about noon. <jumps up and down>
It is an 8 hour drive so I think i'll need to offer him some refreshments won't I?

Ineedacleaneriamalazyslattern Tue 26-Jul-11 10:39:03

I have also just realised that when the videos come out it is going to be soooo obvious which one I am so no pee taking of my accent I will be cringing enough. grin

Ineedacleaneriamalazyslattern Tue 26-Jul-11 12:04:56

IT'S HERE.
It is Titanium in colour apparently whcih when you look at it is the same colour as my wheely bin but it's sooooo luvverly.

nevergoogle Tue 26-Jul-11 19:44:58

who's going to be dancing in the car in their video this time then? gwan.

IwishIwasmoreorganised Tue 26-Jul-11 20:50:57

Pictures on profiles please!

My car is here! Lovely man dropped it off at 8.30 and showed me how it works. He also delivered me a video camera and a packet of Duchy biscuits- they were included on the delivery not which I had to sign for! Can I eat them or do they serve a purpose in the test drive? hmm grin

I am very grateful as it came with nearly a full tank of fuel which is incredibly generous. I asked if I need to valet clean it before it is collected but he said no, they clean it too!

So, where to go today?!

VodkaDash Wed 27-Jul-11 15:29:29
