Outdoor brand Berghaus has asked Mumsnet to find 30 Mumsnetters to try out one of three new jackets designed specifically for women as part of their Autumn/ Winter "Everyday Outdoors" collection.

Berghaus has been a leading supplier of high performance outdoor wear in the UK since 1966. You may know the brand as a manufacturer of technical rucksacks, walking boots and serious waterproofs, designed for use in the great outdoors, but here's what Berghaus has to say about its new range: "For Autumn/ Winter 2010, we have launched a range of everyday use products that absolutely work in the outdoors. But not only are they designed to perform.... they've been developed with women in mind. The collection has been styled for women who want their jackets to look great, as well as protect them from the elements.

"As well as broad consumer research, we have held focus groups with women who told us what they're looking for from their outerwear. Berghaus now wants Mumsnetters' opinion on their newly launched range, which hit the shops in September".

So we are looking for a variety of Mumsnetters to test one of Berghaus' new jackets. Whether you've heard of the brand or not, or if you're a fan of their more technical products and want to try something a little bit different for everyday use, both Berghaus and MN would love you to take part.

There are three jackets to choose from - here's what Berghaus has to say about them. There are ten of each available for testing:

1) The Akka Long Down Jacket RRP £150
"Long, warm and insulating, the Akka Long Down is the ultimate way to beat the winter chill. The perfect jacket for crisp, cold winter days"
Available in black or bay.

2) Insulated Richmond Jacket RRP £175
"A waterproof and warm jacket that looks as good worn on the school run as it does to the office. The longer length and tie belt makes this both practical and stylish".
Available in java, black or palestone.

3) Mid Insulated Parka RRP £170
"From days at the park, to shopping trips with friends, the Mid Insulated Parka is a stylish, casual jacket that is on-trend for this season. Made from waterproof outer fabric, and with a warm fibre-fill, this is a great winter warmer"
Available in black and bay.

Please note all products are available in sizes 8-18 - you can specify the size you'd like. A sizing guide can be found at www.berghaus.com please do use this to ensure you select the right size.

If you are selected for the product test you will be able to keep the jacket, and all we ask is that you try it then add feedback on a thread on Mumsnet - we'll be asking for you to add feedback at least twice - once when you first receive the jacket and again after 30 days. Of course you'd be welcome to add feedback at other times. We'd also like you to add a review on the Berghaus website. Everyone who takes part in the test and who adds feedback on Mumsnet and Berghaus will be entered into a prize draw where one lucky winner will get £150 worth of Berghaus products.

If you would like to take part in this project please add your details here.

If you are selected you will be emailed confirmation.

Thanks and good luck grin

There's an error on the website, it's not loading the picture of the Mid Insulated Parka. Would appreciate being able to see it before applying smile

I presume they've read the Waterproof coats thread - lots of free market research there (albeit from slightly obsessed customers).

The photos wouldn't load for me either? But I put It down to being because I'm using my iPhone. I've decided my order of preference from the description only. But I'd wear anything if it kept me warm at the same time not leaving me sweaty.
I hope I get picked.
<keeping fingers crossed>

I couldn't view any of them either, but have my fingers crossed regardless! I was fondling some berghaus jackets in a local store at the weekend

Done. I have a Berghaus raincoat, and it is great at what it does, but by god is it ugly. I'd relish having a raincoat I don't hate wearing wink
