Following on from the thread of yesterday, we're wanting your questions for the Will Young video webchat. They will be taken along by the mumsnet representatives who will put your questions to Will. A camera crew will film the interview which will then be aired on the site at a later date (as an edited clip with a link to a full version). The webchat will take place next Monday, so post your questions on this thread asap.

I have three questions at the moment. I may have more as I think of them. I hope they are not too long.

  1. It appears that as a gay musician/actor Will is sometimes expected to answer questions and express views about issues that would never be asked of people who are not gay. How does he feel about that and have his feelings changed over time since he became famous?

  1. Will?s video for Hopes and Fears (which I think is absolutely brilliant) to me reflects the way roles are quickly changing in today?s society, family life has changed considerably so that almost any of us can do anything, and stereotypes are being increasingly challenged. How does he feel about this, and is there anything he?d rather didn?t change?

  1. Again re the video, Will looked so completely believable and conveyed so beautifully the expectant hopes and fears of pregnancy, did that come from just being a darned good actor, or would he like to have children one day if circumstances were right? (I hope that?s not too personal)

  1. In todays society why can't more be done about bullying in schools.Seems as if not enough is being done to stamp it out as suicides are still occuring. What are your views on this subject Will? Were you ever bullied at school or even as a grown man bullied working in the music industry?

  1. How did it feel carrying a bump around in your latest video? By the way I think its a brilliant video ,very funny and so realistic!

Do you watch the X Factor? Do you think the ones who "argue" with the Judges are trying to copy you? I do.

Do you think the fame achieved from reality shows these days is less credible than it was back in the early days (ie when you won) - in as much as the sob story, the drama, the "journey" and the general hysteria surrounding it all has almost overshadowed the music?

It seems that the aim of these competitions is to fill the coffers of the organisers, rather than to genuinely find unheard of talent which would otherwise not find a voice?

Do you feel the burden of being an 'intelligent' pop star?

Any more stage work lined up?

Did you go to Simon Cowells party ? How was it?

I have 2 questions one of them is from my ds1 who is 11yrs old.

Mr Young, do you realise what an inspiration you are to the young people of today and what advice would you give to one of todays young who came to you suffering at the hands of bullies?

From myself

Where do you get your inspiration from when writing your material, who was your idol as you grew up?

Hi Will.

  1. What are your views on surrogacy and adoption? Which method would you choose if you ever wanted to be a parent and why? Or would it be the old fashioned way with a favourite female friend??

  1. What advice would you give to parents about dealing with a child who they thought was gay? What would have made it easier for you and your parents?

Hi Will!!

I bet that you were just lovely as a little boy. Does your Mum ever relate any funny stories to you of when you were young. If so would you like to share please?

So, Will you're pregnant! Congratulations. Can you tell us - who's the Daddy? Or who you'd like to be the daddy?

And since it seems we have to think about schools even before the birth these days - are you planning on sending your bump to boarding school? Based on your own experiences?

I have teenage children, two of whom are rather reluctant readers. I heard that you have recently been involved in a project to encourgae adolescents to read. Are there any tips you picked up from that which you can share with us? Apart from the obvious monetary bribe!

singing? theatre? film? and now TV, with Skins, and journalism, with your guest editing of Attitude this month? What do you find the easiest and which the most challenging?

xx

I expect i'll be back...

By the way, morningpaper - he answered the biscuit question during his Attitude interview with Cheryl Cole - it's a jaffa cake. hers is a caramel hobnob....

You know I can't think of a single question I want him to answer. Ummm...

Oh maybe relevant that he was on QuestionTime?

So. Um.

  1. Should QT have on celebrities, artists, musicians etc and why? What does he think of Griffin on there?

  1. What is he wanting to be on Mumsnet for, exactly?

Give me three ways in which you think you'll benefit from doing mumsnet? And dont just think publicity /exposure!

What's the worst thing you did as a child?

When you auditioned, how much confidence did you have in yourself, percentage wise? Truthfully.

Will, are you still in touch with Clarkson after your spin on Top Gear? Are you bessie mates sharing interior decorating tips?

Are you team Andre or team Price? Or would you, like others, prefer never to have to read about either in heat magazine again.

If you had a magic wand, what one thing would you change in the world?

I've had a stressful time are work recently, I'm out with my team in November, if you have nothing else to do on the 6th and are in Notts, pop into Fat Cats for a drink; you seem like you'd be up for a larf. Worth a shot... I heart Will.

Do you prefer yourself with or without facial hair?
What side of the bed do you sleep on?
Do you now feel empathy with pregnant women?
Who is your favourite comedian?
If you had a worldwide choice of venues to perform in - where would you choose?
Out of the songs on the forthcoming Greatest Hits Album - which is your favourite and why?

Hey Will,
Congratulations on the new single and in continuing to be a credible artist.
My father-in-law seems to think you have moved into their village (a village not too far from your parents' pub, if that doesn't give too much away)! If it is true they would like to know if you would like to pop round for tea and biscuits any time? Or, alternatively, my father-in-law is on the village council and says they have a newcomers meeting coming up, if you are interested?
Personally, I'd stay away, but if you're feeling brave...

Hi Will,You obviously get on very well with your own mum Annabel. What is the best advice she has given you.(Love the brilliant video by the way.How did you manage to capture the hopes and fears of pregnancy so well?)

Hi Will,
I really like your music. I thought your 2nd album was a much stronger reflection of you. I think you're a credible artist precisely because you managed to break free of that 'talent show' mould and take direction of your own career.
Which links to my question, how easy was that transition? did you have to fight your corner to record the kind of material you wanted?
