You know Lee (may I call you Lee?) I understand that it's not always possible to have a say in who buys the film rights to your books, and that control freakery over casting on the level of Rowling is very unusual indeed. So I don't completely blame you for Tom Thumb getting his tiny hands on your film rights. What I don't understand is you giving comments and chat show appearances supporting Tom Cruise in the role of Reacher. Have you no artistic integrity at all? Is Tom holding your wife to ransom? Does he post you a finger everytime you refuse to go on a chat show?
Come on, man up! Tell the world the truth, that Tom Cruise could never be the man that Reacher is (in fact I estimate that he is slightly less than half the man that Reacher is if you measure by volume). Forget the money and the schmoozing opportunities and stand up for what is right. It's what Reacher would do.

I would love to ask him the same questions. I can't bet to read any of the books now as it has completely shattered my illusion of Reacher. I was thinking more...... Liam Neeson? Who would you suggest as an ideal Reacher?

There are some suggestions on this thread Ray. My personal favourite is Philip Winchester. This is pretty much what's in my mind when I read the books. <fans self>. I'm a little flushed just from looking for the photos.
