Scootergrrrl Tue 17-Apr-12 13:56:00

Bags of frozen fruit from Aldi for smoothies - cost about £1.50, saves all that boring chopping and wiping up, makes you feel all smug for being so healthy and gets much of the 5 a day out of the way, freeing up more time for wine and crisps.

TwllBach Tue 17-Apr-12 13:56:13

I want a Magnum Infinity. It is in the ice cream freezer beside my desk at work and I am braindrooling all over the idea of it. We charge £1.80 but I will have one for free will that enhance my life do you think? I'm going to eat it anyway

ShirtyKnot Tue 17-Apr-12 13:57:08

The little pot thingy that holds three lots of formula so you don't spill it all over the floor trying to scoop it out of a small plastic tub like what I did with DS1

Cost about 50p

LoonyRationalist Tue 17-Apr-12 14:02:47

Erm, wine!

My extra long micro usb cable has massively improved my life as I can now mn read improving literature in bed without leaning out the side. It was a massive £1.53. I do realise however that this is a little specific and might not be for everyone wink

Latte and a magazine and cake if that can be done for less than £4.73, not sure.

Sainsburys home delivery - £3.50 if you time it right. As opposed to two hours wrestling two children around the supermarket, fighting over whether it's sweetie day or not then all three of us crying in the car park. I would pay ten times this amount for home delivery but don't tell Sainsburys.

SuePurblyBusinesslike Tue 17-Apr-12 14:21:25

Tee2072 Tue 17-Apr-12 15:46:21

Parsley?!?! OMG You're killing me!!!!!

grin

This is brilliant grin
But Chaos you have now woken the baby angry

redrubyshoes Tue 17-Apr-12 15:47:34

I think Chao's phone is the item that cost less than £4.73 but it is not unfortunately enhancing the quality of her life. sad

Grumpla Tue 17-Apr-12 15:47:57

gringringrin

Tee2072 Tue 17-Apr-12 15:47:57

I'm Skyping with my dad in a minute and he's never gonna understand why there are tears streaming down my face!

Sorry Chaos sad

FreudianSlipper Tue 17-Apr-12 15:50:35

thanks have now discovered a way to make my own threads look popular smile

my buy would be a bag of orange aero balls (£1 in tesco) and a pack of twining’s everyday tea (£3.10 also in tesco) after drinking decaf tea for two weeks and trying to convince myself it taste the same i have decided to no longer be in denial

ChaosTrulyReigns71 Tue 17-Apr-12 15:52:34

Sorry BoobPocket. [smile[

Can we get back on tack now?

<<invites submissions>>

, smile

corkythecat Tue 17-Apr-12 15:52:40

I've just woken my very grumpy 6mo up by giggling and my 4yo ds wants to know why I'm laughing so much - but I cant speak!!
A good purchase for before reading this thread would have been waterproof mascara.

Maryz Tue 17-Apr-12 15:54:11

Has lissie seen this thread? I think she and her twat phone would be vair impressed.

Tee2072 Tue 17-Apr-12 15:56:11

Lissie's double posting has nothing on this!

OK, to get the thread back on track, I nominate either Cathedral City extra mature cheddar, or those mini pork pies with branston pickle in them. smile

choceyes Tue 17-Apr-12 16:00:00

A black pearl tea and a magazine!

EduStudent Tue 17-Apr-12 16:00:33

Oh Chaos, you big doily grin

<settles in>

ValiumQueen Tue 17-Apr-12 16:08:10

I am trying to explain to my 5yo why mummy is crying. Thank you soo much. Deffo a classic! grin

EduStudent Tue 17-Apr-12 16:17:52

You look a bit sad, Chaos sad

ChaosTrulyReigns71 Tue 17-Apr-12 16:21:11

Doily?

SIOB.

You want to hear more Chaotic Doiliness.?

I have just stood outside school for 17 minutes waiting for the VeryUsefulChaotic to finish Drama Club.

Not once, not once, did I wonder why there was actually no parents three from her year.

I stood chatting to patents from a totally different year. When all their DC were collected and I was all alone I had the sense to check what time the club finished.

Yup i was 37 mims early.

Ffs. All that MNing time down the brain.

[grr]

MadameMessy Tue 17-Apr-12 16:21:32

haaaaaaaaaaaaaa!
Why did I come back to this when I knew how funny it would be and the baby gets upset when I laugh so hard I make that seal type noise grin grin grin
There is now me in hysterics and dd2 looking hmm and sad alternatively
defo should be in classics!

SuePurblyBusinesslike Tue 17-Apr-12 16:22:28

That's 37 mims you won't get back sad.

Did you know we're fundraising for you?

EduStudent Tue 17-Apr-12 16:23:15

You tit. But a luffly tit.

Would VeryUsefulChaotic be useful enough to fix your phone?

EduStudent Tue 17-Apr-12 16:23:50

I donated about 30p <gold star>

Dawndonna Tue 17-Apr-12 16:25:27

Crying with laughter here. For heaven's sake, give that 'phone to a fifteen year old to fix. Alternatively, just bloody leave it so we can have a good laugh!

Maryz Tue 17-Apr-12 16:27:51

Just think how many posts you could make in 37 minutes grin.

Actually, probably just the one, many many times.

LadyClariceCannockMonty Tue 17-Apr-12 16:31:09

'37 mims' grin

'All that MNing time down the brain.' grin

Arf. Thanks Chaos.

BelleDameSansMerci Tue 17-Apr-12 16:41:46

<sobbing with laughter>

warmandwooly Tue 17-Apr-12 16:43:36

Bags of Thorntons' chocolates that you can get for a pound or the mishapes.

Soap and Glory mini bubble bath

Maryz Tue 17-Apr-12 16:48:42

"down the brain" grin

And I didn't even notice <weeps>

My brain automatically corrects Chaos' typos as I read, I have to look very carefully to notice them at all these days, sadly.

CheerfulYank Tue 17-Apr-12 16:56:51

<laughing hysterically at "12 times for no"> grin

Um...I have some amazing lip balm. It smells like a sugared orange and is exfoliating. I can't remember what it's called but it has a giraffe on it. <helpful>

<weeping>

DH thinks I have truly lost the plot.

Thank you Chaos. With my £4.73 I would buy as many Terry's Choc Oranges as I could.

And give them all to you.

BertieBotts Tue 17-Apr-12 22:22:09

I like pick n mix. And the humble stamp is pretty useful, and envelopes. You can send people things.

OH OH, and some overpriced (but still under £4.73) plasters from paperchase with cute little pretending-to-be-japanese animal characters on. I haven't needed one yet, but they are on my shelf just in case, smiling their rainbows down on me ready to assist at the slightest scratch.

pointythings Tue 17-Apr-12 22:23:50

Cheese. £4.73 will buy you something nice, even at Waitrose.

FrillyMilly Tue 17-Apr-12 22:38:15

I'm actually crying laughing!

Best buy for under £4.73 would be the naice sausages I get from the butchers. So much nicer than the supermarket ones.

Woodlands Tue 17-Apr-12 22:41:28

My DH just rushed in here (interrupting a phone call to his mum) to see what on earth I was crying about... he was releived to see i was laughing!

post 12 times for no grin

<weeping real tears here>

EmpressOfTheSevenOceans Tue 17-Apr-12 23:30:54

<wiping eyes and nominating for Classics>

Tee2072 Wed 18-Apr-12 03:27:08

What truly makes this a classic is that despite the incredible thread derailment people are still answering the question!

CheshireDing Wed 18-Apr-12 08:06:32

I only came on to innocently vote "Starbucks Hot Chocolate with whipped cream/bottle of white wine on offer" but ended up big belly laughing whilst trying to bf! grin

SaggyOldClothCatPuss Wed 18-Apr-12 10:40:14

OW OW OW! I am having a very painful back spasm at the moment! I came on here to say 'paracetamol' and after reading this, it hurts even more! sad
Bad, bad Chaos!

Maryz Wed 18-Apr-12 10:43:00

Is that because the question is interesting, Tee, or have they not RTFT?

WaitingForMe Wed 18-Apr-12 10:50:44

This thread has enhanced my life and cost less than £4.73 grin

Tee2072 Wed 18-Apr-12 11:05:22

A little of both, Maryz. A little of both.

Oh yeah the question - I'd forgotten about that grin

Mines Nescafe Caramel latte coffee - you know the ones in a sachet?

Why's this not in classics?

MyleeneCrass Wed 18-Apr-12 12:13:01

Hotel chocolat rose and violet creams
Dry shampoo
Getting shoes reheeled

DilysPrice Wed 18-Apr-12 16:16:11

And to think I was hassling Tech only the other day to install a widget that would spot when you were double posting and stop you! I'd always seen double posts as a bad thing, but I'd just never seen them done with such, um, aplomb.

Oh, and 4.73 will get you a Pret falafel, haloumi and Harissa hot wrap with gherkins, mmmmmm <missed lunch>.

Myleene are you me? I love Hotel Chocolat violet creams and cannot live without dry shampoo. Well I could but my hair would be very greasy! It's quite long so I don't like to wash it more than twice a week... (is that a bit gross?) I like the TreSemme one the best, also smells quite nice.

mrsalwaysawake Wed 18-Apr-12 16:47:56

Shoes reheeled for £4.73? Not round here you can't.

I love this thread.

MyleeneCrass Wed 18-Apr-12 17:00:23

Ha! 4.50 to get shoes reheeled on my local market.

Tee2072 Wed 18-Apr-12 17:02:50

I have nominated for classics and have been told it's in committee!

CalicoCathy Wed 18-Apr-12 17:11:48

Ha ha ha!

Anyway, here is mine - don't think you can get it in the UK though. But it is fantastic, step aside Nutella, there is a far more addictive spread -peanut caramel spread

LoonyRationalist Wed 18-Apr-12 17:30:21

CalicoC - it is a very good thing that you can't get your Peanut Caramel spread thing in the UK - I would be bankrupt ;)

Can you get it in supermarkets or just health foodshops?
<starts saving for next trip to Germany>

Oh, and the white chocolate spread. £1.30ish. Sickly but oh so yummy on toast.

Ample Wed 18-Apr-12 18:18:07

A small box of Lindor white truffles with a decaf cappucino
hmm don't think I could manage that for under £4.73

Maybe a small packet of ferrero raffaello balls and said decaf cappy?

grin @ Chaos 'confued' and comments that followed. My ribs hurt and I almost, almost wet myself. Industrial strength bladder have I

Rowan.

Tee2072 Wed 18-Apr-12 19:16:24

Whoot!

And grin Rowan!!!

grin

Milliways Wed 18-Apr-12 19:27:29

The springy thing that removes your 'tache grin I followed advice on here and got one for £1.80 delivered and no longer have to sit in pubic view at the Threading Bar.

Milliways Wed 18-Apr-12 19:28:06

Oops- *Public" view blush

UntamedShrew Wed 18-Apr-12 19:31:15

grin Rowan

Ahh I needed a thread like this after today. Juddering with laughter not helping with breast feed but so worth it. In fact worth ooh £4.73 easily

pointythings Wed 18-Apr-12 21:03:53

I think I just wet the sofa...

CheerfulYank Wed 18-Apr-12 22:11:51

Pubic view! <roars>

LadyClariceCannockMonty Thu 19-Apr-12 10:30:04

'pubic view'

grin grin grin

It's the thread that just keeps on giving.

MirandaWest Thu 19-Apr-12 10:35:18

<wonders what kind of threading bar Milliways generally goes to grin>

Tee2072 Thu 19-Apr-12 13:30:15

What totally thrills me about this being in classics is people innocently opening it, wondering why it's a classic...and then finding out.

WishingRLwouldFuckOff Thu 19-Apr-12 15:51:43

Tee tbh i looked at the title when it was in active cons thought meh, and then came back to find it in classics, saw it was a chaos thread and settled down to read it. Spending too much time in rl atm and missing loads. Not sure whether that is a good or a bad thing.

Funnylittleturkishdelight Thu 16-Aug-12 09:47:38

Kirby grips!

I have wee'd myself a little laughing at this!

*What totally thrills me about this being in classics is people innocently opening it, wondering why it's a classic...and then finding out.
* oh yessiree!!!

My lovely baby bump has protested at all the giggling by walloping me, and I nearly wet myself!!! It was pubic display that nearly finished me off

Thank you chaos!!! (and rowan too)

Whitamakafullo Mon 27-Aug-12 09:37:58

How did I miss this one?? Have actually got tears running down my face gringrin

I am at my parents and just spent ten minutes sobbing with laughter at this thread.

"post once for yes twelve times for no"

"chaos phone is the item costing x and unfortunately its not enhancing her life"

Cries

Molepom Fri 26-Oct-12 15:19:07

Chaos - I think I love you for this thread. I've only read up to page 9.
