'Dust banisters?' What language is this?

I do most of the rest, but I keep a cleaning sponge on the bath and I don't eat Nutella. I like peanut butter grin

Dust? Don't be ridiculous!

Might do the others...grin

SunshineOnLee Tue 22-Jun-10 09:37:37

Ah - thought that was only me with the dusting

I don't own banisters. This morning I dusted the piano with ds's pants though.

Galena Tue 22-Jun-10 09:39:07

DH has no flannel here either, but keep a sponge next to the bath.

Dust banisters? Is a visitor coming?

Jeans are worn till DD has covered them in too much fromage frais!

Don't do this cos I always end up pouring it down my front!

Spoon? Why use a spoon when you already have a knife in your hand?!

You know, when you're walking downstairs with the washing and your lack of cleaning becomes apparent as the sunshine hits the inch thick layer of dust along the banister, so you grab a dirty sock out of the basket and give the wood a quick wipe.

Substitute 'banister' for 'tv screen','window sill' etc, and you've ALL doen it.

YES to piano. I did ours this morning with DD's pj top.

Not me Eleanor.

My scummy habits are much less domestic ;-)

My nanna could clean an entire bungalow with a small amount of spit on the world's tiniest lacy hankie.

OOh I have scummy habits, but none that have been mentioned.

Now that is something to aspire to.

StuckInTheMiddleWithYou Tue 22-Jun-10 09:45:07

i hide things behind the enormous leather sofa - then curse when i lose something behind there and have to move it and get a crap avalanche.

Flisspaps Tue 22-Jun-10 09:45:53

Ooh no, I daren't ever use a dirty sock to dust with, not with the state of our feet.

Besidesm, even that much housework warrants unnecessary effort grin

and I can't stand milk...urgh!

Lotkinsgonecurly Tue 22-Jun-10 09:46:33

I've febreezed dd and the dog.

Alouiseg Tue 22-Jun-10 09:47:26

Does picking up dogshit in a couple of tissues and flushing it count?

I think it's more hygienic but some people are a bit hmm

haha! Brilliant.

We have cupboards that I haven't looked in since we moved in, other than to chuck things in to.

toccatanfudge Tue 22-Jun-10 09:48:33

haha - no I only ever shower, and I haven't dared to ask DS1 what he cleans the tide mark off with grin

- we're supposed to dust the bannisters??

My jeans never seem to stay visibly clean long enough to have to do the sniff test

nope = no drinking milk out of the bottle here - only use milk in my coffee

yuck - can't stand nutella grin

Tombliboob Tue 22-Jun-10 09:49:20

i have fabreezed my jeans to get an extra wear out of them blush

Doodleydoo Tue 22-Jun-10 09:51:08

I frequently dust with the cat, always wipe my hands on my daughter as generally have to wash her clothes as they are so mucky (unfortunately she seems to have picked this habit up and now wipes her hands on me!), end up leaving the washing in the machine for far too long, drying it and then realising it smells so have to go through the process again. Oops. How not very green of me!
