I have two. I told a friend totally out of the blue that Michael Jackson would be dead six weeks from now, he was. I pointed at the screen and told a friend whilst watching Loose Women that Linda Bellingham would die soon of cancer.
I dunno why i felt compelled to say those things but i felt i needed to.

No criticising, hairsplitting or arguing pleae.

Be brave and tell. :)

I dragged three boys out of a burning car in my late 20's. It was at about 3 in the morning and police/ambulance attended. Other cars arrived soon after and I became just part of the crowd.

I had a mention on the local news
On tv later that night as "thanks to a woman who left without giving her name" for saving the
Lads. They were all E'd up to their eyeballs.

I was kidnapped at gunpoint in another country. The kidnapper took me a sort of hunting lodge in the middle of the woods. Amazingly when he opened the door to force me in we were greeted by a rather surprised elderly couple sitting down tucking into their lunch!
I screamed my head off, he ran off, elderly couple called the police, he was caught, he did 5 years for it.
Still doesn't feel real...

When I was 17 I dreamed in great detail about a Barbie pretend make up case. No idea why, hadn't seen one or talked about one with anyone. Next day I went into a brand new shop in town and there it was. Weird.

And something odd which happened just last night - I realised I had misplaced a bracelet my mum gave me, which I always wear. I was gutted but didn't at the time think too much about it. In the middle of the night I suddenly woke up wide awake and I had the bracelet in my closed fist. So bizarre. I KNOW it can be explained away as just one of those odd coincidences (I must have lost the bracelet in the bed, must have rolled over and touched it and in my asleep state picked it up) but the way it happened and the way I woke up so wide awake so suddenly with it was really bizarre.

Not such gripping stories as some of the above but hey Smile

Well mine isn't as exciting but I have some boots that have a loop on the top of them. Walking between two parked cars the loop caught on a number plate throwing me to the floor. The pavement. Had I been going the other way I would have been dead as it was an A road in rush hour. See not exciting but good enough for place marking!

Mines silly in coma prison but I actually had to stop my car on a main road to allow a chicken to cross. It was a built up street, really early in the morning. I have no idea where it came from.
In answer to the eternal question, it crossed very slowly and with a sense if haughtiness Grin

I though I was ill, all my life. Others thought I wasn't as bad as I said or was lazy. I was right. I had to wait for medical knowledge to catch up.

I'm quite a cynical person but one night I woke up feeling a sadness I had never felt before for no reason. I sat up sobbing all night with no idea why. Next morning I was told my gran had died Sad

I was admitted to hospital at about age seven, 1998. I was only having my adenoids removed, but I was kept in one night before and one night after.

The first night, the hospital (a children's hospital specifically) ran a fireworks display (5th November). I vividly remember being taken out to hold sparklers and watch fireworks lit by the nurses, before being given barbecued food. Nobody thought anything of this, it wasn't seen as unusual or at all dangerous to let ill children (my adenoids did make me ill as they were bloody huge) wave fireworks at each other at 8pm..

The next morning I met Barney the dinosaur, in my theatre pyjamas. I was then chosen by the American press for photography purposes - I ended up on the local front page with Barney, and in some Barney publicity stuff both for the UK and the states. To this day I'm not sure why, I had matching pyjamas and slippers which might have influenced it, and I looked quite a sickly child. I still have some stuff from it, newspaper cuttings and Polaroids and that. Very strange. I remember an American lady asking me to cuddle Barney, whilst my nurse was shouting at her that I was due in theatre and needed to go!

When I told my colleagues this a couple of weeks ago - I'm now a nurse - they claim there's no way all that happened in one weekend (or at all, regarding fireworks) but it definitely did.

I worked for a guy who now works directly to Obama. I see him on tv sometimes. It's bizarre. I'm one step off 'knowing' (ahem) POTUS!

I've worked at bonhams auction house. Had a Chinese table delivered that consisted of small drawers all over it. Some secret. My colleague took it apart to clean. I walked in to find her surrounded by drawers that she didn't know the order of returning to the frame. Took several colleagues a week to put back together.

I put diesel in a top of the range Merc. It was a petrol car.

I'll stop. A couple more will out me!

I do front line work for people at risk of harm. None of them would ever guess that my own story was much worse than pretty much all of the ones I have come across professionally. Not all mind.

I am adding DH's story.
He was 11 and had been in a lot of trouble at school. His Dad beat him (usual occurrence Sad) and he ran away.

Sitting in the local park, he was really upset & scared. He said to himself that he would behave at school (strict catholic school) if God showed himself to be real.
He said to himself, that if God is real a tall man with a long beard & a hat would walk around the corner within the next minute.

Sure enough in less than a minute a tall man with long beard & a hat walked around the corner & straight passed him!!!

I shivered when he told me.

From finding out I was pregnant with DC1 to when I gave birth I woke up at exactly the same time every night. I would check the clock and it was always 2.22. It stopped once I gave birth.

6 months later my mam died at exactly 2.22am. I think it's a coincidence but DH thinks woo.

DH and his now best friend were chatting once about growing up (in separate cities). Best friend was relating a tale of how when he was a young teenager they had a lovely student renting a room in the family house for a year who he had a massive crush on. She had a boyfriend from another city who would come over and she would sneak him into her room at night. Best friend would lie in bed green with envy at the goings-on, wishing he was that boyfriend.

It all turned out that DH had been that boyfriend, but he didn't actually meet now best friend for around another 15 years, when they were both living in an entirely different city.
