...is something my 18 month old daughter has started exclaiming, quite loudly and gaily when we're out and about. hmm

No idea what she's trying to say!

deakymom Sat 16-Aug-14 18:45:36

my son shouted whore never got to the bottom of that one either blush

grin

Wonder what she hears herself saying? .

wantacatplease Sat 16-Aug-14 18:47:48

Thank you, deaky, I'm happy to hear I'm not the only one this is happening, or happened, to. blush indeed.

Gileswithachainsaw Sat 16-Aug-14 18:49:02

grin

Love it

shock grin deaky

Ours is "bitch! Bitch!" At the moment. Followed by frustrated crying when I can't produce the bitch. No idea what it is

wantacatplease Sat 16-Aug-14 18:59:46

hashtag I wish I knew! She seems to be inclined to shout it whenever we're in relatively quiet places, like on the bus

and in the children's section of the library.

I get tittering all around me whilst I'm mouthing "sorry!" and shrugging my shoulders innocently.

wantacatplease Sat 16-Aug-14 19:01:01

"when I can't produce the bitch." grin

JustAnotherYellowBelly Sat 16-Aug-14 19:01:15

Stop it?
(Speech delayed brother... We got this all the time)

wantacatplease Sat 16-Aug-14 19:04:07

Hmm...maybe! She'll no doubt do it again so I'll see if "stop it" fits in context with what she's doing. She screams says it quite happily, though, with an emphasis on the "TITS" part. confused

StoneFoxMama Sat 16-Aug-14 19:06:54

This reminds me of my cousins 'I want my shagggggyyyy' shaggy of course being her beaker.

The one that both mine did and always had me in fits was 'cock' screamed repeatedly, often when out. They really liked clocks.

vezzie Sat 16-Aug-14 19:13:13

Is it a version of "what is it?"

wantacatplease Sat 16-Aug-14 19:17:07

Ooh, could be!

snoggle Sat 16-Aug-14 19:21:15

What's it
Or
Chocolate

My DS said dick dick for biscuit for ages

wantacatplease Sat 16-Aug-14 19:25:55

Ahh dick dick is adorable (and funny!).

venusandmars Sat 16-Aug-14 19:30:27

I was looking after my friend's dd. She had a toy with her. "oh, who is this?" I asked

"wanker"

shock confused

Turns out it was makka pakka from Night Garden grin

LottieJenkins Sat 16-Aug-14 19:30:32

Have told this story before but here goes anyway:-
When Wilf was small due to his deafness he couldnt say "Mumma."
We had many supermarket and library trips when he was charging round yelling .......................................
" BUGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGER " when he couldnt find me!! grin

Barbie1 Sat 16-Aug-14 19:34:57

My ds went through a stage of shouting cock porn..

Turned out he was after popcorn. grin

wantacatplease Sat 16-Aug-14 19:35:56

grin at 'wanker'.

Oh Lottie! grin Love your endearing Wilf posts.

wantacatplease Sat 16-Aug-14 19:36:40

Oh my God, cock porn wins this thread!!!!

LottieJenkins Sat 16-Aug-14 19:38:19

After a really crap day "cockporn" has made me roar with laughter!! grin

You sure you don't have a pair of overheating feathered garden visitors?

LegoCaltrops Sat 16-Aug-14 19:42:55

DD went through a phase where 'clock' was pronounced 'cock', and 'Makka Pakka' & 'Caterpillar' were both mispronounced as a racist word that starts with P. (That DH & I have never used in our lives!) Very embarrassing!

Euphemia Sat 16-Aug-14 19:46:56

DD (then 1, now 12) used to shout out "Beebosh!" during the opening credits of 64 Zoo Lane, every night. We had no idea what she meant, still don't! I assumed it was one of the animals, but when I asked her to show me Beebosh, she looked at me like hmm.

BBQSteak Sat 16-Aug-14 19:49:32

my dd used to shout coon

as she loved racoons
