Possibly.

Anyway je suis tres excited and tres looking forward to the trolley des fromages (and looking forward to showing off my French)

conspiracytheorist Wed 05-Jun-13 23:52:40

Madame Roux will be saying ' descendre mon mari' to getorf grin

LadyBeagleEyes Wed 05-Jun-13 23:52:57

It's your lovely daughter that's treating you isn't it GetOrf?
Hope you have a lovely time.
I'm so not a foodie, though I'd draw the limits at Talc's menu, so Monsieur Wotsit would pass me by.
Enjoy grin

LeGavrOrf Wed 05-Jun-13 23:53:01

Oh I did le not la

BIWI Wed 05-Jun-13 23:53:15

Ou, Mademoiselle? Je ne sais pas si elle la prefererait? <le wibble>

LeGavrOrf Wed 05-Jun-13 23:54:07

Yes my daughter is paying.

HA! I'm going to Order the lobster.

BIWI Wed 05-Jun-13 23:54:25

Tu as les problemes plus grand si tu as choisi 'le' en place de 'la', je pense!

LeGavrOrf - you look simply stunning in that new frock.

<< rolls arrrrrrrrrrs >>

LeGavrOrf Wed 05-Jun-13 23:55:49

NO flumpy I said oh god because I was so thrilled with talcs idea of a name change!

But yes I am the twat with the sheets grin not offended that you remember that, honest guv grin

LeGavrOrf Wed 05-Jun-13 23:57:13

Ou j'avec une probleme.

Cest tres similar to le tres difficile probleme of la recherché who to say tu or vous

LeGavrOrf Wed 05-Jun-13 23:57:40

I got a fucking A in French GCSE tu connais

BIWI Wed 05-Jun-13 23:58:30

'tu' familiar
'vous' cold and dead to you

BIWI Wed 05-Jun-13 23:59:02

I'm sure that's what we were taught in Longmans Audio Visual French <beep>

LeGavrOrf Thu 06-Jun-13 00:01:24

Lol at cold and dead to you.

Kristin Scott Thmas would know. I always think my life would be so much simpler if I was KST.

I think that there should be an English equivalent to the Michelin guide and their star awards.

Do you think Halfords would be interested?

LadyBeagleEyes Thu 06-Jun-13 00:04:35

Anyway I'm of to google this French chap to see if he's good enough for you.
I have heard of him but I may be getting him mixed up with some other Frenchie cheffy type.

BIWI Thu 06-Jun-13 00:10:21

Halfords. J'aime leurs choses pour voitures. C'est un magasin que je trouve superbe. Je voudrais acheter all manner de choses qui I have no idea about parce que ils seem to be trop useful. C'est comme les magasins stationery.

Maryz Thu 06-Jun-13 00:10:31

You really don't want to marry him.

He's French. The stench of garlic would get you down after a while.

Poledra Thu 06-Jun-13 00:10:35

Haines rather than Halfords, I would think. Or how about Dunlop?

LadyBeagleEyes Thu 06-Jun-13 00:10:44

Ah, ok, I was thinking of Albert.

BIWI Thu 06-Jun-13 00:28:55

Albert?! Est-ce que tu es fou?! Il est comme un grenouille!

BIWI Thu 06-Jun-13 00:30:40

Ou un crapaud!

(c'est a much better wordm mais je had to look that one up)

LadyBeagleEyes Thu 06-Jun-13 00:41:56

Mais oui, Albert est un cochon grand.

LadyBeagleEyes Thu 06-Jun-13 00:42:58

But Michael est un petit peu un grenoille, non?

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered Thu 06-Jun-13 00:47:25

Je pense Mme Roux would be telling Michel to descend de Getorf.

Elle a les legs jusqu'a les ears et il est un peu on le petit side.

Tu le trouve un peu dodgy fit lovey grin

BIWI Thu 06-Jun-13 00:48:29

grin
