Hi, I have just found out that I am expecting twins, I have a 5 year old and an 18 month old. I have been looking at double buggy's and trying to find the best one for our needs. We have recently bought a VW Touran so buying a new car is not an option and once the twins are born we will need to use 1 or both of the back seats so I need to find a buggy that will fit in the small space of the boot thats left once all 7 seats are up. Any advice...please HELP

Hi cat, congrats! I have a 4.6 yo and 18 month old, expecting dt's in sept. We're shopping for a new car at the mo and I'm also looking at buggies. We're considering one for the car, and one at home so I've been looking at lightweight and 3 wheelers. Something that's an umbrella fold might be a good choice, like a Maclaren Traveller? I think you need to measure the space left in your touran and then look at the folded dimensions online of doubles. The TAMBA guide to double buggies might be really helpful for you.

hi i am now looking at the vw touran. we are going to measure it up this week for the mountain buggy double urban and twin carrycot that i have already bought. we have a c-max at the moment so we dont have a choice we need to change car as we have a 3.5y old and a 2y old as well. i had a look at it this morning but didnt have a tape measure. with one seat down at the back and one of the middle side seats pushed forward it looks like there is enough room. the mb urban double folded is 104cm long by 39.5cm high by 74cm wide with the wheels on.

Hi I have got a VW Touran and have a double buggy. I know it might not be ideal all the time but when I have got all the children in the seats I sometimes use the front seat for the buggy (it fits by putting it sort of straight up from the footwell) and leave the back gap for the nappy bags etc. I have the Mclaren double. Other than that if you remove the middle seat 2nd row with juggling you can get the buggy into this space. It is not great for offloading all the kids, buggies etc. Sorry it is not a happier outlook post...
