Toddler twins. Wtf?

ok so I have 3yo twins and though tough at times I've kind of had a handle on it - until now. We've done the crazy feeding stage, we moved house, I went back to work, etc. it's all been fine up to a point but now I just feel like AAAARRGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! If I have to pick up that particular fricking toy one more time/why the hell are you spitting into the stereo??? Why did you eat my shopping list???? why can't you pull your own pants up?????when are you going to stop fighting all the bloody time????? Etc etc etc.

DH has been on an intense project at work 6 days/week so I guess it's only normal that after a few weeks of this I'm starting to flip out.

But I want to ask other twinners or indeed triplers, is it normal to feel so angry, self pitying and pent up all the time? if so is it a toddler stage thing? What can I do? (except book in for a massage which ain't gonna happen).

Btw if I make a plan along those lines I get 'huh. I never get any time off either' from the DH. True but it doesn't solve the problem does it?

I'm so frazzled I might just burst into flames. Advice / sharing appreciated.

Nothing to do with them being twins. It's just what kids do!
This phase will pass to be replaced by a new, equally annoying phase

Oh god. Mine are 2.5. This feels easy compared to The Baby Stage which I hated with a passion. I can't cope with the knowledge that it's going to be shit again.

I'm really sorry andadietcoke. Might just be the fact I'm pretty much on my own at the moment. You will be fine - she says smiling manically. grin

Can you give your DH the opportunity to bond with his two children for half a day on a weekend while you get some respite ? I hear it's a win/win/win scenario ...

Mine turned into utter arsehole around 2.9 and this lasted a good few months. They are 3.6 now and twin 1 has calmed right down but twin 2 drives us potty every single day. Without fail!

They play so nicely together and their relationship is really developing but my god they can fight and argue.

A whinging 3 year old is a nightmare, two whinging 3 year olds is a whole different thing.

I feel your pain.

Well that'll teach me to be cocky.

Three year olds are, in the main, utter twats.

Dietcoke, yours will probably be lovely. It's just our luck to have mad twins!

This has made me laugh. I'm trying very hard not to think about behaviour all I think about is the fact that in 9 weeks when they turn 2 they can start playgroup, that's 4 whole hours free a week, I'll be able to take on the world with that time off (or crawl back to bed for an hour)

Frenchseam Sun 20-Mar-16 21:46:15

FOUR HOURS OFF A WEEK?
Oh my god I'm so jealous.

Am also pleased to report that I'm feeling slightly less insane, due to a bout of flu which meant I had to go to bed on a day when the childminder had them. I cannot describe the absolute bliss of lying down (admittedly whilst feeling quite shit) in absolute silence. I also read this which made me laugh:
