Hi everyone, I am 30 + 3 non id twins. Finishing work at 32 weeks.

I am just wondering when your twins arrived? If early, how early, and what were the inplications of thwm being that early?

I am really struggling to cope now and I have this overwhelming sense that I dont have long left. I am aiming to get to 35 weeks to help ease my worries but so sure I'll go into prem labour.

Thanks Smile

34+5. 2 weeks in scbu to established feeding. Twin1 was anti biotics as she had an infection and both were struggling to maintain their temperatures.

39+2 and was induced, I'm sure they'd have stayed in there longer.

FauxFox · 08/07/2015 13:54

33 weeks, they had 2 weeks in scbu with feeding nose tubes to start with but no need for ventilation. 5lb and 4lb in weight so not too teeny.

They are now 10 and as tall as their granny!

Good luck!

31+3, 4 weeks in NICU / SCBU - were allowed to take them home when they hit 4lb!

They start school in November and you would never know.

I wasn't allowed to go past 37 weeks so I had a planned cesarean, but by 35 I had more than enough.. Could physically feel they had no space left to grow.. Felt like o was gunna burst

Mine arrived by emcs at 31.4. They were in nicu/SCUBU till their due dates, both had a myriad of problems which they successfully overcame and are now 8 and very fit and healthy with noong term effects.
Good luck Smile

No long term! Damn phone!

38+2 with an ELCS. I became a bit obsessed with the NICE guidelines and peri morbidity rates after 38 weeks so that was at my request. I've always wondered how long they would have stayed in for!

29 weeks with Id girls. The hospital said I went into labour early due to a urine infection. This was 13 yrs ago

DramaAlpaca · 28/07/2015 21:20

I don't have twins myself so please forgive the intrusion Wink but my friend has boy/girl twins the same age as my DS1. We were due a day apart. Mine was a singleton pregnancy and I had my son a week early. My friend couldn't believe I'd gone into labour before her, but her twins had shown no sign of wanting to come out. She ended up being induced and her twins arrived on their due date & were absolutely fine. Her twin boy was bigger than my single one Confused

33 weeks after a few days of stomach cramps that I mistook for constipation. 3lb 15oz and 4lb 4oz. 18 days of NICU/SCBU. Both fit and healthy 5 year olds.

DreamingOfAFullNightsSleep · 29/07/2015 08:05

No sign of coming here. Forcibly evicted at 37+ 6. I was vast. They were fine, no special care. One a bit shocked at his sudden (c section) birth but only for one minute or so. 5lb 10oz and 6lb 9oz boys.

laaloo89 · 05/08/2015 11:26

I had premature rupture of membranes (aka my waters went) at 32 weeks and managed to keep them in until 34+2. Had a section as both were breech. 12 days on transitional care to establish feeding and ensure they could maintain body temperature. She weighed 3.3 and he weighed 3.8, but do not worry about it!!!! Enjoy the last bit of pregnancy....I didn't get the end part of being pregnant and felt gutted and really missed my bump!! You'll be fine x x

30 + 3 Wink non-IDs

Sudden PROM, quick labour, 7 weeks in NICU/SCBU, in RUDE good health 4 years later.

Are you being regularly scanned? If you think something is afoot I would ask for a check up, they can give you steroids for the babies' lungs if it looks like things are moving on.

I would also ask for a peek into the NICU unit so you know what to expect.

It will also invoke the Law of Sod, and you'll be here in 7 weeks begging for them to arrive!

Good luck. x
