Can anyone offer advice?
Requirements:
Suitable from birth and laying as long as possible!
Don't need travel system
Compatible with buggy board for toddler
Not insanely expensive! Ideally easy to find second hand!

Been looking at the Out n About Double. Can you really stick two newborns in those seats or do you need the compatible carrycots?

Hello!

We've noticed that this thread is quite old now, and some of the product recommendations are a little out of date. We've spent weeks speaking to parents and testing the top-performing pushchairs on the market to find the best double buggy for 2019.

Hope this helps!

We have a nipper. My twins were winter babies so i put them together in one carrycot.

Love the nipper.

We have the city mini double jogger up a friend had the nipper 360 and used it from birth with no carrycots. Not sure about finding one second hand though-from what I can see, people love them and use them to death/the children are around 4 years old so they get a lot of battering

We've got the nipper too. We had it from birth, didn't have carrycots but had these when they were little

My sister has just managed to get me a second hand nipper, they are the buggy of choice at her twins group. They are on eBay but second hand still costs a lot, you can pick up new from eBay starting at about £365.

We have the diono cuddle soft supports as well. They're fab.

There are loads of second hand nippers about. Look on Twin selling sites on Facebook and the Tamba selling site. They range from as little as £50 to £150.

I had a double nipper, not for twins but used for baby 2 from newborn. Loved it so much, easiest buggy to push, steer and fold I've ever used.

Loved my nipper. Think they've changed it a bit since I had it. There were no carry cots when I had it. Just laid flat and had a newborn insert. Congrats.

I've bought the baby jogger city select for my 2, but not due until Aug so can't comment on day to day use. originally wanted a side by side but couldn't find one I liked enough that had a simple travel system, so settled for this. will let you know how I get on!

The nipper double is great, I'm glad I chose it. It's definitely the most popular buggy for twin mums round my way, and a few have had other twin buggies first and then switched.

I didn't use the Carrycots but bought soft cocoons which I just slid in on the flat seats (you can secure with the D rings). They're really handy for around the house and babies love them!

City mini jogger here. Chose over the nipper as the nipper has a single wheel at the front whom I wasn't keen on.

Brilliant buggy. Used it till they were four, then donated it to a friend.
