Congratulations!

I can't advise on the practicalities of a triplet pregnancy as I have had twins and a singleton, not triplets. I would expect that you will be promptly bumped to consultant led care, and with that scheduled for regular scans and antenatal appointments. You'll likely have two-weekly/weekly scans during the second part of your pregnancy.

Re working towards a C Section - don't be scared! I have had two elective sections and they have both been fine. Yes, there are parts of each that we're not particularly pleasant, but I am told that vaginal deliveries have their unpleasant parts too! I was very comforted by the control and organisation a CS brought - yes there are risks, as with any birth, but the progression of things is normally more predictable.

Congratulations on your three growing babies. Three times the feeds and nappies, but also three times the smiles, giggles, kisses, sleepy snuggles ......

Thanks honey yeah can't wait for lots of snuggles ??. Iv already got a little girl and she was natural birth. The thought of c section terrifys the life out of me. I'm trying so hard not to stress but that's easier said than done. Xx

I have triplets that are 6months now. It the most amazing feeling in the world. I managed to carry mine until 33 weeks going into hospital for the last two. Your going to get very big and very uncomfy, but get lots of scans so see the babies much more than lower births do, my advise would be to milk it and make to most of everybody doing everything for you. But try keep healthy because those babies will be born early so need all the goodness they can get (which gets tricky soon).
The section is no different to a normal section so dont worry about that and i found i healed fairly quickly as for the first two weeks i didnt have the girls to run around after.
Its fab and however tired/ hard it gets your going to have not one not two but three little gems in your arms soon Smile good luck x

You will get very big and probably uncomfortable, but keep yourself focused on the end result x

Congrats I posted on your other thread! I managed to keep my boys in until 30wks, there was a planned c section for 35 but they had other plans!

Yes you will get very very big but it's worth it, I kept doing all my normal things up until 30 was. I was always told do whatever your body is used to before pregnancy.

I never had one bit sickness or rarely tired and started showing early by the end my maternity clothes didn't fit anymore!

C section decision probably depends a lot on what the babies are doing, and of course your doctor and hospital - if all 3 are head down I believe it's possible to deliver naturally, but with triplets it is rare! Might be worth talking to the doctors early about the likelihood and their views on vaginal delivery of triplets.

Congratulations! I've got 7wk old triplets born at 33wks. My first pregnancy so nothing to compare it to but felt pretty ok to me, it only got difficult once I was really massive but that's prob the way for singleton mums by the end weeks! I was quite relieved to know it was to be a section, though I did start getting nervous in the final weeks.

In terms of medical care, my experience was really good though it was apparent there are lots of grey areas where there just aren't enough triplets born for there to be reliable stats to guide practice. For example we had some drs saying to deliver at 32wks, others saying 34, and all saying their view was based on personal experience and applying what they know from twins and singletons. So you have to make your own decisions and that's the scary bit.

It is scary. I didn't tell anyone even my mum that it was triplets until I was about a month off delivering! And it's bloody hard work when they arrive! But you're treated like a proper miracle and the bubs will be little celebs wherever they go!

Do keep in touch and ask if you get any specific questions as you go through your preg. Good luck! Xxx
