Do you get anything done??? Dts are 6 wks and struggling massively with trapped wind. I have at least 1 awake and crying most of the day. We're trying infacol, comfort milk and some probiotics, still not working.
We live in a rented house and the agents are coming to do an inspection on Monday. The house looks like a heard of elephants have had a party. I have 2 days to put it back together but struggling to do anything with the Dts crying and only sleeping in my arms.
Dh has taken the other 3 away so I have no help.
Has anyone got any suggestions of how I can get things done?

Blimey sounds tough.

Can't you cancel the inspection? I think having such tiny babies is a good reason!!

It took about 6 months before I found the girls manageable, and I didn't have another 3!

Looking back now I wish I had gone along to a sling meet and had learned how to sling them both. It would have been a godsend to free my hands up. How big are they? I've seen two in a mobey style wrap and recently two connecta slings, one baby on the front and one on the back.

I feel for you. Those first six months were one long exercise in firefighting. A proper warzone.

Ha ha that's the excuse I've used twice already, I think they're starting to get concerned that I keep putting them off.

They're 9lb and 7 1/2. I was thinking of looking into a sling for the future but not sure I'd manage 2. It's just sods law that they're struggling this weekend, they've been really good and manageable upto now.

As long as you're not knocking down walls or putting holes in things, tell the landlord that they'll have to take you as they find you right now as you can only do babies and not much else. If they comment, just give them a withering look and offer them a screaming baby to hold.

If you're near me I'd happily come and clean for you and give you a break. SW?

Can you sling the one that's crying, leaving just one needing entertaining (or hopefully sleeping!)

Have you got bouncers or a baby swing? Do they like the car seat?

To be fair, I wouldn't have attempted housework while alone with the girls.

Thanks for the offer saga but I'm Scotland. 1 is happy in her bouncer but needs bouncing frequently when trying to pass the trapped wind.
We're going for a walk in the vain hope they'll stay asleep for a bit when we get back.

The first 6 months were a blur. All I did was take care of the babies, everything else had to wait.

Who ever is doing this inspection will just have to accept a messy house, I am sure they will understands.

Frequent winding, every ounce if necessary.

Feeling a little better, hired a gardener so at least the kids can play out without me worrying they'll get lost in the jungle that it is.

The first 12 months were a blur to be honest.
Do you have help locally?
To be honest I was very very lucky, both my mum and my MIL were fantastic. And they had a baby each so there was no arguing. Grin

Well the inspection passed without incident, managed to distract him enough he didn't get a proper look. I'm now just stuck with sewage all over my garden from a blocked drain. I'm sure I just attract problems
