G/B twins sharing a room unil what age?

Just that really. My g/b twins are currently 19m. I have a 3.11y DS. Currently DTs have a very large double room. DS has a decent sized single. Obviously it will eventually make sense for DS1 and DS2 to share the big room and DD to have the single to herself. but what age to I swap them?

So far I have concluded that some time before puberty is a good plan! however I am mindful of DS1 and if I leave it until the DTs are 9/10 then DS1 will be 12 and be very used to his own space.

So wise twin mums, what age would you think is best to swap things around?

My b/g reins are 6 1/2. We only have a 2 bed house but are trying to sell it to move somewhere bigger!
Ideally I'd have liked them to have their own rooms by now as one needsore sleep than the other.
However, whenever they have the opportunity to sleep in seperate rooms they always end up back in together before the night is over!

Are they still in cots?

When I moved them into beds I moved their rooms.

It made it a bit easier as DS was in an annex onto our bedroom anyway and they never actually shared unless we were in the room too.
We co slept... A lot!

DD1 and DD2 share and it worked out well. They have a 2 year gap.

Sorry, they were about 23 months when we moved them into beds.

Mine are 5 and still share a room. DTD has said a couple of times she'd like her own room but never really pursued it (we have the space for them to have their own rooms when they want to), but they've just got bunkbeds so I think they'll stay put for a bit. Watching with interest...

My ds (5.5 yrs) and dd (3 yrs) share a room and like it, its company for them and offers reassurance when they are scared etc. When my ds tells me he wants his own room, I will separate them and will move rooms around so ds in a room, dd in a room and dts share a room. Lucky enough to have the space though dts will have to wait til their big brother leaves home to get their own space!

i could of course put all 3 in the big room (it is big enough) thus avoiding DS1 being used to his own space and not wanting to share with DS2 and also giving DD time to be ready to not share with her twin anymore.... or is that crazy?

yes they are still in cots and will be as long as possible!!

mind you, this all goes out the window if i have my way and get DC4 in a couple of years time!!

consensus seems to be that i don't really need to worry until they are more like 6/7/8 so that gives me time to convince DH about DC4
