Black / mixed race barbies

Hi! I really want a variety of barbie dolls at home rather than just white and blonde ones. I want my LO to have a doll that resembles her (mixed white British and Nigerian) as well as her other family members.
I can't see any black or mixed race barbies in the shops and I'm also struggling to find them online. All I can find are articles about some new black barbies that look more like real black women but can't see where to buy them. I'd really like on with Afro hair too as my LO has very tight curls.
Thanks for your help :)

I wrote to Mattel a few years ago and complained about the lack of black or mixed race Barbies available in the UK. They sent dd a lovely light skinned brown Barbie with tight curly black hair. I think it was a California Barbie or something? My friend gave dd a black Barbie from the US but it has straight hair.
My dd loved Bratz because they looked more mixed Hmm there was also a range of black dolls, very urban with trainers etc but I can't remember the name.
I still have all dd's dolls, I'd happily send her brown and black Barbies to you as dd is no longer interested in them.

I have to agree about Bratz. My girls are mixed (my husband is black and i am white) my oldest daughter got very upset when she was younger because Barbie etc were all very white but thankfully Bratz were launched and we ditched Barbie. The skin colours of bratz were more relatable and the out fits were more funky.

There are also other ethnic drills they just are not well advertised. The baby doll called Annabel comes in an ethnic version, which my daughters have alongside the white one (well several of each actually!)

Argos usually has all these dolls and Amazon. Normally you have to click into the advert and select the ethnic one specifically. Or when you go to collect bratz in argos they will bring out the first point they come across audio ask them to check for the ethnic ones.

Hope this helps x

I've got a Teresa 'barbie', she is meant to be barbie's 'Hispanic' friend. She is dark skinned, brown eyes and straight dark hair, probably not what you are looking for, en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Teresa_(Barbie)
but I got her in Sainsbury's.

What about Princess Tiana from Disney?
