Team I agree re: The Impossible.

I just watched White Material which I had recorded (it was on TV recently). I was absolutely gripped by it.

The impossible...

It's a true story of a family in the tsunami on Boxing day...

It's truly amazing

Another vote for Thor The Dark World. Tom Hiddleston and Chris Hemsworth, I mean whats not to love?

Just seen Gravity. Amazing and beautiful - best film in some time and brilliant in 3D (and I hate 3D).

Not scary - very tense.

Gravity & Thor: The Dark World. Very different films but very enjoyable. Emotionally wrung out after Gravity, but it is an excellent film.

I have just watched Let The Right One In, I thought it was pretty amazing. I know it's a horror film but think it is far more about the relationships.

I also watched In Darkness this week which is both heartbreaking and heartwarming. It's based on the ture story of Jews who survived in the sewers of a Polish town with the help of a sewerage inspector. This is currently on Lovefilm.

Rush.
I had my heart in my mouth all the way through. I had a teenage crush on James Hunt which helped. However DS 18 and DD 16 loved it as well and were fascinated by the whole story. They had never heard of Nikki Lauda or James Hunt.
RedPencils
Silver Linings was one of my favorite films of last year
