I may be wrong, having read the book a good few months ago, but there were huge parts of this film I did not recognise. I think it is very loosely based on the book. I seem to remember the UN guy spending a lot of time in a submarine and he didn't have a wife a kids?
Having said that I did enjoy the film, Brad was channeling his hot Kurt Cobain look and it was really jumpy, I properly jumped out of my seat a few times. I thought it was good that the gore was quite limited too as in the book the descriptions are quite graphic.
I thought it was brilliant. Going to see it again in 3D. I didn't first time as I was worried it would be too gory. Not a fan of excessive gore.
The first bit in Philadelphia literally had my heart pounding. How quickly the zombies were turned amongst all those people. I found myself counting 12 seconds one after the other as I walked home to see how many people would be turned in the time I walked home. I live in London so it was quite .
Love Brad, always have, always will . Think he was perfect in it, not at all over excitable, a dignified action hero!
Lots of footage not used. My friend was an extra for filming that took a long time in London, photo with Brad on her FB and none of that was used.
