I'm taking dd to the cinema with a couple of friends for her birthday; should I take them to a 2D or 3D film? I've not been to one so have no idea whether they're suitable for young children; I'm wondering if you can watch them without the glasses as I can imagine fidgety 6 yos getting impatient with them over two hours; also one of her friends wears glasses, do they still work ok for glasses wearers?

You can wear them over glasses, but they're a bit uncomfortable.
Ds2 used to take them off part way through and you really can't see properly without them. He's 10 now and copes with them, but I often go for 2d just cos of the comfort thing myself.

Sounds like 2D might be better for 6 yos then, thanks for your reply!

Toy Story 3 is good for a child.
