Does anyone remember this film....if so, what was it called.....?

Hi,

This is a little random, but when I was growing up, sometime around the early 1980's, there used to be a film on at christmas. It hasn't been on for years, but I cannot remeber too much about it, or what it was called!! I know - pretty useless!

There was a big house (bungalow/shed type thing), and a family were renting it for christmas i think - it was a big family, with a little boy (the main character), and definately a grandad too. They used to get around on skimobile things, there may have been a dog?!

The story line was something to do with christmas/santa, but mainly set around the house.

Any clues anyone?!?!!?
