I think this might be one of the best children's films ever.

We borrowed it from the library about 5 times when DS1 was little. I picked it up in Morrisons on DVD yesterdays for £3 because I fancied seeing it again.

It's a damned good film. And the score is lovely too.

But it was never that successful IIRC. Which is a shame IMO.

We have it (on VHS!) though the DDs have never really taken it to their hearts. I think I might make them watch it again smile
