Unfortunatley the meth didn't work so ha dto have emergency surgery last thursday which was a bummer!!! Itchy knees, ooh thats a new one, my hair has started to fall out, don't know if it's the methetrexate or ending of preggers hormones..
For me it was extreme tiredness/exhaustion, sickness and itchy knees (no idea why maybe liver function was mildly affected). That was it. I was told to expect pain but I didn't have pain with methetrexate.x

Sorry to hear about your eptopic pregnancy - I didn't realise that they used methotrexate in these circumstances.

I take it for arthritis along with folic acid 3 days after the methotexate. Usually I have no bad side affects (unless I take it on an empty stomach in which case I feel a bit nauseous), although it does leave my immune system a bit weak so I tend to get more colds and throat infections. Also been told that I must not get pregnant less than 6 months after I stop taking it, so need to plan carefully if we decided to try for another DC.

hey...sorry about ur ectopic...i had one in august....the reason u cant get pregnant for 6 months is cos when u get that injection it strips ur folic acid completely..although i was only told 3 months..ur body need's time to build up the folic acid

This may sound strange but I have to take methetrexate for my arthritis. I ahve to take it once a week a day after taking folic acid. I have found if I forget to take with food or foget the folic acid I can feel sick all weekend I take on a thursday. One friend had a bad reaction and was hospitalised. Without it I would'nt be able to move.
