Well for those looking for hope I hav some....
was 6 weeks when posted this, had a scan which actually dated conception earlier (!!!!)
Had a scare last night with some bleeding, went to A&E, was told things were not looking good...and we thought (well assumed) the worst.
HOWEVER tests, scan, and internal done today - 14 weeks and baby is ok!!!
Thank you for everyone who gave me positive stories... now I believe that things can work out!! Sooooo happy!!!

Juliet2 - aspirin - unless there was a problem then things may just happen when they are ready. Although I think that aspirin is safe (1/2 a day baby aspirin) i have read. Probably best to check with Dr first though, and trust me, just when you feel like there is no hope things work out unexpectedly

I lost 1 abay at 12 weeks then twins at 10 weeks and had just about given up hope... and now ihave 2 DDs and 1 DS. But I do remeber only too well that fear of it all going wrong, checking your knickers every time you go to the loo, jumping at every twinge. You just have to trust that this time it's meant to be, or you'll drive yourself barmy! Lots & lots of luck!

Thank you everyone for so many positive responses!!
I have a scan booked in for the 30th, all going well should put my mind to rest for at least a few days!
My GP has said if i miscarry this time around they will do some testing, for now I am preparing for the worst, but still hoping for the best.
I had 4 mc before ds1, i was 17/18 at the time of them. was put under consultant care, scanned, they found PCOS but suspected inverted uterus, they did a hysteroscopy(sp?) which showed nothing but immediately after that I fell pregnant with ds1. 14 months later I fell pregnant with ds2, no problems.

Its hideous at the time, somthing i hope i never have to go through again, but dont lose hope because just because youve had 1/2/3/4/5 mc doesnt mean you wont go on to have a baby. xx gd luck

I had 2 consecutive m/cs between my 1st and 2nd babies. It was awful. I also took 6-8 cycles to get pregnant each time. The whole thing was really hard at the time. Anyway, i went on to have 2 healthy pregancies and 2 beautiful baby girls. Hang in there. Can you get an early scan. I sobbed at the GP and he got me one so you could try that! All the best.
I had 3 early miscarriages, all missed miscarriages between 8 and 10 weeks.

Now have 3 boys without any medical intervention smilesmilesmile. And: I am much older than you...

Good luck to you - as somebody said earlier the odds are heavily stacked in your favour!!
I had 2 mmc in a row, first at 10-11 weeks and the second at 7 weeks. DD was born exactly one year after what would have been the due date of the first mmc.

I don't have to tell you how on edge I was all the way through, until she was safely delivered..
I had two consecutive early miscarriages between my 2nd and 3rd children. Each time I felt uneasy until I had passed the point of the previous miscarriage. My 3rd child was born at term and healthy, after a fairly normal pregnancy with no interventions.

Miscarriages are utterly miserable experiences, but nonetheless they are usually a completely normal part of a woman's reproductive life.

Hope you are encouraged by all the good outcomes!

hmm me too. I had 2 mcs then had my son who is nealry 6,

But trying for number 2, same thing, i had 2nd mc in march just gone.

We are trying again now.
So similar to you. Took us 2 years to have 1st mc, so i am very worried.

Still, its encouraging to me that you have posted 6 weeks into your 3rd pregnancy. There may be a bit of hope for me. x
Also, with DD I bled at four weeks (didn't know I was pregnant, thought it was a heavy period), at 15 weeks and then at 26 weeks. She still managed to make it.
I too lost two babies - one at six weeks and one at 12 weeks. My third pregnancy is now three years old and perfect.

Hang in there - I know how tough it is and how painful life feels for you at the moment.

I hope all is well for you and your DH. Take care.

Hi, I thought I would tell youn all about my history of miscarriages over the last three years. First of all I think it´s worth saying that I have a very healthy 11 year old girl, the pregnancy was uncomplicated and she was born 3 weeks early. I have since married a new partner and 3 years ago we decided to try for a family. Everything seemed fine up until 13 weeks and at 19 weeks I miscarried, totally unexpextedly. It was very traumatic, we had various tests done and they said no cause was found. So we tried again! The second miscarriage was a empty egg at 8 weeks. Just bad luck they said! So we tried again! This time I miscarried at 6 weeks. By this time we decide to undego genetic testing and thought it must all be down to that or stress, so we decided to wait a year or so. The result came back negative, just bad luck they said.

I had comlpained a few times in the pastabout excessive bleeding during periods and bleeding during sex or doing exercise, but nobody took any interest. I had heard about a procedure where they could check out the state of the utereus through use of a camera. I asked for this procedure, but they did a quick scan and said all was fine and i didn´t need one.

2 years passed and we decided it was the time to try again. This time it seemed like I couldn´t get pregnant. A few times i felt pregnant and my period was late, but then my period came and so i put it down to paranoia. The next time i felt pregnant i did the test the day my period was late and it turned out that i was pregnant, but my period came the next day. So this time i had had a micro- miscarriage. I expected that i had had 2 more over the last 6 months that we had been trying.

So, i decided to take it all into my own hands and started reading medical journals on recurrent miscarriage and heavy periods.

Through my extensive research i diagnosed myself as having fibroids or polyps, something that no-one had ever even mentioned to me in the past.

I checked myself into a private clinic and told them I wanted an ultrasound and hyroscopy of the uterus.

I saw a private gyno. and told him my history and he imediately told me this type of bleeding between periods was not normal for my age (34). They check me out inside and out and discoverd a large uterine polyp 2cm, the size of my uterus. I had it removed there and then.

I month later my period returned and amazingly it only lasted for 5 days now, not 9 and i hardly bled compared to the litres i had been bleeding for years, ever since i gave birth to my first daughter.

This gyno, who had read my history and looked at my case, told me the polyp probably had everything to do with the miscarriages. However, another one, who didn´t have a minute and couldn´t read English, said it had nothing at all to do with it, its all to do with good or bad eggs???

By the way i live in the north of Spain.

I had 2 consecutive mc last year and now have a 6wk old DS
I am a bit older at 36 but had no medical intervention, just a reassurance scan at 8wks.
As others have said, no reason why this time won't work out for you. Good luck!!

I had 2 consecutive miscarriages and then went on to have baby. Statistically the odds are still high on you NOT having a miscarriage this time round, so try to focus on that. I hope it all goes well and in a few weeks you'll be able to enjoy the rest of your pregnancy. Has your GP offered you an early ultrasound?

I had 2 consecutive mc's before I went on to have 2 successful pg's.

There is every chance that this one will work out for you.

All the very best of luck x
Congratulations! I now have a beautiful little boy of 6 months having lost the 2 previous pregnancies. I am much older at 36 and had no medical intervention. We had a great deal of support through the Early Pregnancy Unit who scanned me every 2 - 3 weeks upto 12 wks but otherwise we had no intervention.

Good luck and hope everything works out this time for you!

I am pregnant, 3rd time around and hoping for some positive news!!
Last 2 I miscarried, both stopped growing at the same 8 week mark.
This time around I am 6 weeks, hoping for the best but expecting the worst. I am young (24) and have no health problems, or family history of anything wrong.
Has anyone been in the same boat and carried successfully third time around without medical intervention???
I am just married, and the last two have caused so much grief that I just don't know how we will get through it a third time around!
