Messed up cycle following an mc in January

Hi,

I had a miscarriage in January (first time trying to get pregnant though so I still count myself as lucky in world of fertility!). I started my period again within about 4 weeks but it wasn't the "heavy" period the medical folk said it would be! I had my next period 5 weeks after that and it was heavier. I felt back to normal.

But two weeks later I had another period!
That was 20 days ago and I've just started another period!

Is this level of irregularity normal following an mc? Should I wait until it's a nice 4-week cycle before trying again?

Thankfully, I'm not overly worried or stressed about this just really impatient! All comments and thoughts really appreciated!

Thankfully for me but not helpful for you, my periods came back really regular after my m/c 2 octobers ago.

Have a chat with your doctor. My doctor told me to allow 3 full periods, i.e 5-7 days worth of bleeding being 1 period.

You're great not to stress yourself out though - good luck.

hi i had a mmc in sept, still not back to normal....long gaps and then 3 or 4 very close together but not heavy. I would wait for at least three to four months until you see a doctor but its good to keep a diary with all your bleeds and spotting marked down .

Try again as soon as you like but just dont be so disappointed if it take a little longer then you expect, like you i fell the first month of trying.....and im still trying again now!
