I am 10 weeks and i started spotting yesterday. It then stopped but I had period like pains.

woke in the night to find i was bleeding lightly, this lasted for a couple of hours but has now stopped again although i still have period like pains.

The blood is very bright red but no clots

Can't get appointment with gp and epu said i need to see gp or go to A+E so thats what i'm going to do.

Just waitng for friend to come and get other 2 DC who are off school with tummy bugs

I am shitting myself, am gutted

Ok I don't know if you are having a MC but when I was around 9/10 weeks I lost a lot of red streaky blood with no clots and the baby was fine .

You need to either ring gp back and demand or beg to see a gp or go to a&e .

I really hope all works out all ok and hopefully someone else with more knowledge will be along soon.

Hi, didn't want to read and not post. Hope everything is okay. There are lots of reasons why you can bleed in early pregnancy, it's not always a m/c, so fingers crossed.

Let us know how you get on. X

Hi, and thanks for the messages.

Only got back from hospital at 5, its been a long day.

Spent a long time in A+E but finally had a scan at 3:30 and everything is fine

They couldn't find any reason for the bleed and it has all but stopped now.

They have told me to just put my feet up and rest.

I am so relieved that everything is ok, it was beautiful to see my little jellybean baby on the scan with its heart beating

Phew memoo, so glad you had a good outcome. It's actually very heartening to hear this kind of thing as I've had two mcs and I'm now terrified of any kind of bleeding should I get pg again. I hope the rest of your pregnancy goes well.

it is scary headfairy,

So sorry about your MC's, I haven't had a miscarriage but my last pregnancy was an ectopic so I do understand how painful it is.

When you've lost a baby its really hard to relax and enjoy subsequent pregnancies. I don't think I'll stop worrying until the day this baby is born xx

I am so glad memoo it sounds like the bleed I had I was convinced that was it because there was quite a lot .The doctor told me it could be hormones in the cervix changing . Just glad you and LO are ok.

HF I had two MC close together in 2004/5 and felt a lot like you I then had dd in 2006 so fingers crossed for you .

ah poor you. It's so blooming awful, when I was pg with ds I was so blissfully ignorant of all these worries. I'd quite like to fast forward through conception (sorry dh but even a bit of bedtime action doesn't make the 2ww any less hellish!), pregnancy and skip through to the birth. Of course even then the next set of worries start, but at least you can see your baby then. Much easier to make a decision as to whether they're poorly or not.

Thanks for that comewhinewithme... that's very reassuring. When I was pg with ds I didn't bleed at all, the first mc I bleed the whole time, from conception to the end, and the second mc I didn't bleed until after I found out I'd mc'd. It's all so random, you can't relax for a minute can you? But it's lovely to hear that bleeds don't necessary mean it's all over.

Hi, biggernow, I am really good now, haven't had any problems since then and getting fatter every day!

I really hope everything goes ok for you, I know how scary it is, I was a right state at the time but have spoke to lots of people since and have been surprised to hear how common it is.

Please let me know how you get on this afternoon, sending you lots of positive vibes and love xx

I'm so very happy for you biggernow It seems our children are sent to test us, even before they are born!

I know its been an awful time for you but it will get easier. I am finding that the longer I've gone on the more relaxed I have become, getting to 12 weeks was a big relief

Take care xx
