i posted on here a while back about thyroid problems, my blood test results came back that i was borderline,(underactive i think) gp said it looks like its going that way, but not enough yet for medication, i have a re-test next week. i had an erpc new years eve, i still havent seen af. is this a symptom of a thyroid problem, i thought af was arriving last night, i had pink blood, then this morning only a tiny bit of brown blood, now nothing, we havent been using contraception, i did a hpt yesterday and it was bfn. i hope someone can advise me as im getting really worried now. thank you

Hi fanny I actually posted about this whole thyroid thing a while back. I have hypothyroid and have had 3 mc's, although throughout those mc's was taking thyroid meds and continuously upping the dose because my doc says TSH should be below 2 and mine was around a 4 during last mc. Do you know what your level is?

I've done research and asked doc and basically, a slight hypothyroid condition may or not be the cause of mc but it is often linked to other conditions, such as low progesterone or antibodies, which I'm currently being tested for! Sorry I can't give a definitive answer, for not even the docs know for sure. What they do say is that TSH should be below 2 because high levels have been linked to issues with poor brain development in babies.

I hope you get your af soon. Perhaps this spotting you're having is the beginning of it?
XOXO

hiya daynee yep af has just arrived. although i expected it to be heavy and painful seeing as ive waited 6 weeks for it. i have a hospital appointment next week, i think its the recurrent mc clinic. do you know if they would check thyroid function independently of my gp? so i have hospital on the monday and thyroid blood test on the friday. havent a clue what my level is, gp showed me the screen with the results on, didnt really mean anything to me, i suppose if i do have something wrong then i will have to understand it.
