Hi I had a mmc last july with twins and then again in december both died at 8 weeks. i am pregnant again but so worried. i started bleeding last thursday and had a scan friday morning. It dated me at about 5 and a half weeks. I have an area of bleeding near the baby. They said there was a sac, yolk and fetal pole but no heart beat yet as it is to early. I am booked in for another scan on Tuesday 17th to see if the heart beat shows. I have been told it will go one way or another. I didn't really have any bleedin over the weekend just a little bit of bronie discharge. However I have been having more red blood this morning although not much. I am so worried and just want everything to be ok. Any one else been in a similar situation? thanks for reading x

Hi lizzie, I had bleeding in the first 12 weeks with ds, then last year bleeding before both of my 2 mc's, then brown spooting from weeks 5 to 9 with this current pregnancy, I am now 11+5 weeks. So as you can see it could go either way, not the reassurance you wanted I know, and I'm sorry....but hopefully all will ok with you. Try and take it as easy as you can. Take care xxx

Hiya, ive not got any positive experiences to share im afraid, all my miscarriages started with a little brownish blood and ended up with red..

I would suggest you go to bed, rest and do not move unless you have to...everyone said for me to do this but i didnt listen!

I would see how you feel tonight (with me most of the pain etc came at night) if you feel good, no bleeding then i would take it as a real good sign...BUT..any feeling of pain and id get yourself down to the hosp...if it is a misc then there is nothing that they can do but at least they can give you some painkillers....

I know its absolutely terrible..waiting wondering...not knowing every damned little thing will make you worry...but im sure that in the end we worry ourselves into imagining that something is wrong!

take you of you and honestly..rest...keep those legs up xx

Its quite hard not to move as i have 3 children age 5, 2and a half and a 1 year old. Wish i could just have a week off and do nothing if only. Its so hard to rest though and i really don't want to mkove just want this pregnancy to be ok. This will be my fourth mc otherwise. I don't have any cramps or pain so hopefully that is a good sign. Although I really wish the bleeding would stop even if it only light.

hi lizzie
there is really no evidence that resting helps, so don't beat yourself up.
you're lucky to have three children - i hope they are a comfort. i also had a miscarriage in July, a miscarriage in december, and now am pregnant again and started bleeding a bit today. my first miscarriage started with a patch of dark blood, then watery blood which gradually built up over about three days until on the fourth day it was like a proper period. my second miscarriage there was no bleeding - no heartbeat at scan.
i feel exactly the same as you - so fearful. the only thing that's comforting me is that i had a little bleeding at around six weeks pg with my first and only child, who is now 18 months.
yes, it could go either way, but it's absolutely awful waiting to find out, isn't it? i am just wishing, wishing the bleeding stops and that everything is okay. good luck

kissmummy - thankyou for sharing your story, it seems you are going through something very similar to me. Will you be able to have an early scan because of the bleeding? It is so horrible fingers crossed for both of us xxxx

I had spotting,pink/brown for several days and was scanned at the epu,at just the stage you are at.Again too early to see the heartbeat, but a week later there it was.I hope you are fine. Some bleeding seems pretty common.Good luck.
