I started losing 'tissue' on Tuesday, massive bleeding and hideous contractions on Thursday evening, felt much better Friday and bleeding slowed down to a normal period. Saturday felt like i had been kicked in the stomach and today i cant get comfortable, feels very swollen and angry in there. Worried i could have an infection but no noticable smell or temperature. I just want it to end so i can get on with my life.

Sounds like you should get to the doctor - it does sound like an infection or may be too difficult to pass naturally.

Really sorry to hear your bad news! Take care

How are you today fairywing? Have you sought medical advice?

Hi Fairywing It does sounds like you could do with being checked out

I miscarried at 11+5 aswell. There seemed to be two distinct episodes for me - bad period pain for around 4 hours, then a gush followed by extreme blood loss and lots of clots for around 4 hours. Approx 17 hours later, I got stronger pain (with hindsight, probably mild contractions) I passed some large clots, then had to push the sac During the build up to each "elimination", the pain intensified, but after the last bit went, I had no pain whatsoever.

For the next few days, I was achey, but this felt like a muscular ache. I think your description of "swollen and angry" merits some advice from the EPU. I hope it gets sorted soon and you can move on. Each day is a milestone - I started feeling better when I knew the bleeding had stopped and it was all over. The next milestone was getting a BFN 3 weeks later ..

I have retained tissue at top of uterus. ERPC on Thursday. Went through a week of hell for nothing. Its been a month of one slap in the face after another. What next.

I'm so sorry Fairywing. I had to give birth to my baby at 17 weeks last week and for a while the placenta was retained; like you, I felt that I had gone through all that pain only to end up in surgery anyway - so unfair.

Eventually they managed manual removal of the placenta (grim TMI sorry) but I also had an infection. Will be thinking of you on Thurs and hope this is the last blow you have to endure.

So sorry Fairywing. At least now, it should come to an end soon . 'Tis horrible I know. I have only just stopped spotting - 2 weeks from start to finish. Still getting bfp's when testing through so I have another blood test Wednesday.
