two missed miscarriages

Hi,
Just had second missed miscarriage and D&C since Christmas (writing April 5th). I am just turned 41 - am I just too old? I have had one fine pregnancy and lovely girl when I was 37. No trouble actually conceiving - two weeks after first D&C - was this a mistake? Just want to share ideas whether I should try again - don't know if I could cope with it happening again.
Also, still having light bleeding, but with clots, two weeks after D&C - is this normal?
Joannie

hi hun
hug to u
The bleeding is normal think i bled on and off for about 2.5 wks after D+C. I dont think u are too old as a lot of people have kids while older now. If its any consolation I am 27 and have had 3 mcs
1 at 17
1 at 23 and
1 in dec
I also have a ds who was born in oct 03

So personally dont think its age related as such but more ur boby not coping at that time. The positive thing is if u have already carried to term then u know things can work out...or thats my theory..lol

snap (almost)
thinking of you. i think if you feel ready emotionally then that is the biggest thing of all. age wise I'm thinking of Cherie Blair, Madonna and Susan Srandon. also Carol decker (ex T'pau) had kids at 42 & 45.

Hi JoannieL. Sorry to hear about your m/cs. Please don't feel old! I was reassured by my consultant that my recent missed miscarriage was unlikely to be influenced by my age. And I am even older than you - 43.
If you are at all concerned about the bleeding, you should get some medical advice in case you have an infection or they need to repeat your op. I bled for about 2 weeks but there weren't any clots.

Hi Joanniel
Sorry to hear of your m/cs . I'm 41 and my dd is 8 months old. I also had 2 missed m/cs and an eptopic (lost my right tube) previously. Just wanted to send possitive vibes your way

hi , sorry to hear your sad news. i have hada late misscarriage 5 weeks ago and have 4 children, i have had misscarriages in the past too, keep an eye on your bleeding, if its just clots it may ne normal but you may have an infection, dont worry about your age, it wont be the reason you misscarried,

thanks folks. Feeling a bit better now after having first period, although it has gone on for a fortnight. Still feel "damaged" physically by the last EPRC and am going to wait until I feel completely back to normal until we try again.
