I'm really struggling at the moment. I had a tfmr at 24 weeks a week ago and we have his funeral this week for close family. I have picked two songs, Ed Sheeran - Small bump and Aerosmith - i don't wanna miss a thing. But I've been asked to pick three and I just can't think of any my heads an absolute mess. Any suggestions kindly welcomed.

I had arms of the angels at my daughters funeral and Billy Joel's lullaby at my sons.

I also listen to Mark Schultz He's my son a lot. It's a religious song, but can be interpreted a different way.

I'm so sorry Flowers

You are the one that should choose and you are the one who matters.

Other people's opinions shouldn't be a factor.

It's about you creating a special day for your boy however you choose to do so.

The best thing you can do is to be a bit selfish at the minute.

Take care Flowers

If you don't mind opera; I just find Maria Callas singing Senza Mamma so incredibly moving. If you look up the lyrics translation in Google you will see what I mean. But even without knowing what her words mean, you can feel her agony so clearly just by listening to her voice. I often listen to it to have a great big cry and think of the baby girl I never got to hold.

Elsa's suggestion of Billy Joel's Lullaby is excellent too.

Eric Clapton - tears in heaven
Beatles - a little help from my friends?

No one can tell you how to feel or what you "should" choose. Anything is ok and any decision is the right decision in the moment so don't worry too much about people's judgements on your choices. Flowers

We had REM everybody hurts and adiago for strings the classical original by Samuel Barber.

Pick whatever music you want, don't be worried by other people's opinions on your music choices.

I requested some lullabys as that felt right for us and also a song that would make him move around in my tummy when it was on the radio

I don't know if this will help, or not. I'm very sorry if it doesn't, but I also hope it might express the hope and wonder of your lost baby - either way, I'm very sorry for your loss.
I hope the link works as I haven't been able to test it.

Really beautiful choices.

It is awful, nobody should have to plan their child's funeral.

Wishing you all the strength in the world to get through the coming days Flowers

So sorry for you. Planning your child's funeral is something you should never had to do and the hardest thing I've ever done.

I lost my son at 39 weeks and his funeral was the darkest day of my life but somehow we got to the end of it and were still breathing and now we are nearly 5 months on. Back then I never believed we would be where we are today emotionally.

Don't worry about what anyone else thinks, this is the time to be selfish, do what is right for you and always put yourself first. Your health and emotional welfare are top priorities. Anyone who doesn't understand that you don't need around you.

I send you every strength to get through the coming months. Always feel free to PM me if you want to, even if you just want to swear a lot. Flowers

I'm so sorry for your loss. Flowers

We had Tears In Heaven at my brother's funeral (he was 13 when he died). It is a beautiful song. I have, to this day, not listened to it since his funeral.
