Miscarriage/pregnancy loss

Just Miscarried

I've just had my second miscarriage and I'm not sure what to do next. With my first I already had a scan booked for the next day so even though I knew that I'd lost my baby, I still went and it was confirmed and I had blood tests etc. I went to the GP on Friday because of bleeding and was told that I was being referred to the EPU for a scan and someone would ring me to organise it but no one has. Do I ring the GP for an appointment first thing in the morning? Or should I try and chase up the EPU? I have no idea what to do. I'm not in too much pain nor am I bleeding too much. Just heart broken and devastated.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

So sorry freya I would definitely call someone today. Do you know who is the out of hours service for early pregnancy?

I have had 3 mc's all at varying weeks. My 1st was at 11.5 weeks over the wknd. I called the out of hours pregnancy service which was the gynae ward at our hospital. They gave advice over the phone and told me to call epu first thing on the Monday. They booked me in for their next avail scan. Unfortunately I began bleeding heavily and the gynae ward advised me to go to a&e. My 2nd one at 5 weeks I called epu and they just gave me advice over the phone and told me to do preg test in 2 weeks to confirm a negative and to call back if positive. My third mc at 8 weeks Was discovered during a scan.

But I think whatever stage you are at, it is important to speak to someone today and get some advice. They may be able to reassure you at the very least. If you don't know the numbers/department to call, phone the operator at your local hospital and ask for the epu or gynae wards. Hopefully they can point u in right direction.

Good luck, and take care of yourself. Sending hugs xx

Thank you for your advice Lucinda15, and I'm sorry to hear about your mc's, it must have been awful for you.
I tried the EPU and it's just an answer phone. I will ring them first thing in the morning. I think they'll just advise me to do a pregnancy test in a few weeks as I was only 6 weeks.
Thanks again x
