Hi I had erpc on Monday for delayed miscarriage.
I have had minor bleeding since. Now I have pain and today am losing clots and some kind of tissue. not loads but was in a rush earlier. I think if there was an infection I would feel terrible?

It's not that unusual to have stop-start bleeding after an ERPC. It's the remainder of the lining coming away as hormone levels drop. Has it settled now? If you have 'unpleasant' discharge (because blood and clots and tissue is really pleasant Confused ) offensive smell, or you feel unwell in yourself get checked for infection.
Hope you are ok, sorry for your loss Flowers the physical indignity is the last thing you need.

I just came on here to ask an almost identical question! Had a surgical management of miscarriage (smom) on Tuesday (I assume just a different name to erpc) and had pretty much no bleeding. Today I started bleeding. I phoned the early pregnancy clinic and they said its unusual but not to worry keep an eye and if it doesn't slow down by tomorrow phone back. I'm completely worn down by the whole thing (hence being up this late) I thought it was over.
Sorry to hear you are going through the same thing pnutter hope your bleeding stops soon.

Two nights after my ERPC I spent hours in the middle of the night looking at posts in here too - it helps, doesn't it!

I'm a week down the line and I hope that by sharing my experience, it might be helpful but I'm aware we're all very different! I found that I didn't have much bleeding or pain on days 1&2 but more on days 3&4. By day 5 I wasn't really bleeding but the cramping got worse and has remained the same. The pregnancy test is still showing positive, which doesn't help. From what I've read it all sounds like a 'normal' experience so far

Keep a close eye on smell to check you've not got an infection. If you're still bleeding after a week, I would get checked over to make sure everything's ok.

It's all just a bit rubbish. I hope you're feeling better soon. Hot water bottles help! ;-) xx

Thanks for sharing sealpup. My bleeding calmed down so I didn't have to go in. I'm find the emotional side the worst, I had no bleeding for 5 days so I thought it was over. Definitely finding this board helpful for that side too! Hope that you are ok too.

Same here. Had the ERPC on Thursday and no bleeding or pain til Sunday, then a small amount of bleeding each day since.

They are changing the name of ERPC to Surgical Management of Miscarriage Sandman which is much more preferable in my emotional opinion. ERPC stands for Evacuation of Retained Products of Conception - I mean it couldn't be more sterile and clinical if it tried ! The word evacuation makes me think of a fire alarm going off in there with a tannoy announcement saying 'Everybody Out' !

I just want to be pregnant again but the thought terrifies me ! If we do get pregnant again I don't know how I'll cope with worrying about scans and heartbeats !!

Just seen all these replies !
Mine was done ten days ago. I've had quite a lot of pain and still bleeding / clots etc . Went to gp she called the hospital gynae Reg who advised her to give me antibiotics as I feel pretty rubbish. They said they won't rescan as im bleeding .
