i had an internal scan today as i have been bleeding since friday.
it started with a pinkish discharge, turning to brown then saturday saw some red blood and now it's maroon and red. i have had dull back ache from friday.

for the first couple of days it showed only on the tissue, none on the pad.
from sunday i have started showing on the pad about 1 pad all day, it's red blood.

my scan dated me 6 weeks 1 day saying 'single viable intrauterine pregnancy with sac in the lower part of caity and slow heart beat (less than 100 beats per min)

what does this mean?
i had a miscarriage recently and am terrified of going through it again
any replies greatly appreciated

Heartbeat at 6 weeks is positive, I don't think the rate is significant at that stage as it's the earliest you'd expect to start seeing a HB at all. Does that tally with your dates? If it does that's another positive.
Unfortunately nobody can tell you how it will pan out, a scan only gives you a snapshot of what is happening at that moment. Bleeding in early pregnancy is common though, and at least 50% of the time it's all ok. Hang in there, and I hope it all settles down and your pregnancy progresses.

thanks so much for your comment, it does tally with my dates but my bleeding still hasn't stopped

bakingtins thankyou for asking, couldn't bring myself to post on here again but i did have a miscarriage, i had strong uncomfortablness in my back at about 4 in the morning and at 12 i miscarried, left tissue with the EPU who advised to get my results from the GP and a scan a week later confirmed there was nothing there.

but am feeling alot better and taking it easy, it's the 2nd miscarriage i've had but ii have 3 wonderful DC and am focusing on them so very grateful
