I had bleeding (red blood) so went to a&e they scanned me 4days later and said it had been a twin pregnancy but unfortunately I lost one but other baby was say and doing well. I'm now 11weeks and have just had a brown thick mucus have phone wou and have scan tomoz. Has this happened to anyone else. Feeling extremely scared

Hand to hold jessica I hope it's all ok. How long is it since you lost the twin? Any chance it's the tail end of that bleed?

Thank u x
I had the scan a week ago and they said the empty sac was measuring around 8weeks. They said the sac would get reabsorbed but I'm hoping that's whats coming away now. It's been an overwhelming couple of weeks :( x

Brown blood is old blood. It's entirely possible that this is what is left of the lost twin pregnancy. In fact very likely. Fingers crossed that your other baby is a sticky bean.

Thank u bonzo77 my fingers are tightly crossed also. Also not sure if this changes opinions but I'm 11weeks today. I'm thinking positive and hoping for the best x

I lost a twin at 8 weeks gestation, and had some very light bleeding in the following week. The rest of my pregnancy was textbook (but stressful as always worrying about miscarriage) hope it all works out.

I lost a twin at 10 weeks (no bleed or anything - found out at scan) I'm now 25 weeks:) I'm sure all will be fine, as the other girls said brown blood is old.
X
