Response Meducal Trial - anyone else taking part?

Hi, I'm taking part in the Response medical trial and wondering if anyone else on here is too?
It's been a very difficult year and a half and I have had three consecutive miscarriages, 1st in Nov 2013 at 12 weeks, 2nd in July 2014 at 7 weeks, 3rd in Nov 2014 at 9 weeks. It's a 4 month waiting list for my Recurrent Miscarriage Clinic so I'm taking part in the trial as want to keep things moving as worried I'm running out of time (I'm 36 this year - although I was 33 when first started TTC) but I'm in the 2WW and feeling terrified.
There's a lot of extra support offered as part of the trial but I'm feeling a bit lonely and out on a limb about it.
Anyone else on the same boat or had medical trial experience?

No, saw it advertised on Facebook and would have applied if it was in my area. Do you know what the new drug is trying to treat? Recurrent m/c obviously but do they say if it is immune system / nk cells / blood clotting etc?

It's double blind so not even the trial manager knows if you're getting the drug or the placebo.
I'm taking part as even if I get the placebo I'd do anything to help other women not have to suffer what I've been through. And you get a lot of extra support during the first 12 weeks, which I really need.
Just feeling very nervous about getting a BFP again. On my third positive I just cried out of fear.
I think they release new trials throughout the year. I'm edinburgh based and only patient number 3 so it's really new up here. Fingers crossed it'll be launching near you.

Hi there sizethree, I've just joined the Edinburgh trial, I'm number 4. I believe they've just recruited a number 5 too. I had good news 2 days ago and was randomised yesterday and put on the drug so keeping everything crossed. I've had 9 previous losses so really hoping for a miracle. How are you getting on? Have you had a positive yet?

Having a bit of a wobble this week because of pathology of last MC showing rare chromosomal abnormality which has knocked me sideways.

Hi, I am new to Mumsnet, and found this thread. I had my positive on the 25th March. I am currently 4wks +5,. Finding the injections are getting a little more painful as I go on, but I guess sticking a needle in over and over is going to take its toll.
I've had four consecutive MC and am really hoping this one sticks around.
Does anyone think they are on the drug?? Side effects etc. I seem to get aching across the top of my stomach about half an hour or so after injecting, could be a link, but could be just the general process I guess.

I am one of eight women on the trial, and only the second one to have a positive, so they doctors were very excited!
