Hospital book recommendation please

Hi, I'm booked in for an ERPC tomorrow, I'll be admitted at 10am but surgery opens at 1pm and I don't know where I'll be in the queue. So there'll be a looooong wait. I'm not a big reader but I have borrowed a kindle and would like to read my way through the wait. But I really want to avoid any books with: pregancy, babies, children and bad things happening in general. Does anyone have a nice easy read recommendation that will be suitable to help help take my mind off things and not make me teary? Any suggestions welcome and much appreciated.

Thanks bakingtins. I'm back home now and relived that I'm back on the road to recovery.
I didn't end up reading as luckily my husband got to stay with me for the majority of the waiting and recovery.

Glad you had some moral support. Take it easy, sometimes it hits you emotionally once the physical part is out of the way. Hope you are being well looked after.
