Miscarriage/pregnancy loss

A question about periods after miscarriage

I had an MMC in March, followed by an early MC in May. Since then my periods have been much longer than before - 6/7 days instead of a very regular 4. I've also had shorter luteal phases, going from 12/13 days pre-MMC down to 10/11 for the last few months.

Anyone else had this? Will it rectify itself over time, or is this just my cycle now?

I had a MC in May and my periods were out of whack for a bit, and my luteal phase seemed shorter judging by opks - I also had two separate positive incidences of pos opks one month. Things seem to be back to normal now though.

So sorry for your lossThanks

Thanks impatience. That is exactly what's been happening to me for the last couple of months. + OPK then - OPK then + then -. Very frustrating! Glad things got back to normal for you, and sorry for your loss too. Thanks

I read that two sets of positives can mean your body gears up to ovulate but doesn't manage it so tries again. I just had my 21 day test done though and I'm definitely ovulating now - I hope things settle down for you soon.

Thank you - like you it was my second mc, back to back. It's awful because you convince yourself that it happen straight away again and very hard when it doesn't Sad

Yes, my cycle was very regular before my MMC in June every 26 to 27 days. Post MMC my cycles have been 30 days, 33 days (and on my third so not sure what this one will work out to be). I think it just takes a whir for things to settle down.

Oh and my period lengths have been 10 days, 7 days and 7 days (was about 5 days before the MC).

Thanks smallbear, and sorry about your loss. It's all so irritating. As if the MCs themselves aren't bad enough, the whole system going a wonky for months afterwards seems like adding insult to injury if you ask me.

Sad
