Stomach cramps possible bleed... Think I'm miscarring

(5 Posts)

Yesterday I had terrible stomach cramps and shooting pains all around my lower stomach... Terrible back pain too... I want to the loo about 30mins ago and had a little brown blood when I wiped... Just went again and it's a bit more fresh blood nothing in my knickers just when I wipe. I have put a pad in to see if it increases.

Not sure if anyone read my previous post about my early viability scan showing I either had my dates wrong or baby died early in pregancy as all that was seen was the yolk sac... However I'm thinking it's all going wrong and my dates weren't wrong... Got a referral to my local epau but not until next Monday... Don't know what to do

Can you go back to EPU as a walk in patient? They may see you.

Hi Blueberry

I'm sorry you're having such a tough time - it must be very scary. It's good that you've put a pad in, as it will give you a much better idea of how much bleeding you're having.

As you're having some bleeding, maybe you could call the EPAU and see if they can see you any sooner. Also, remember that paracetamol is safe to take if the pain is bad. A hot water bottle can help too. If the pain is very bad, you should get medical advice and/or see if there is something more effective that you can take.

It might be an idea to pack a small bag, just in case you have to be checked at the hospital. Remember to pack your phone, phone charger, change for parking, something to eat & drink, a change of clothes, and maybe a book (there can be a lot of hanging around). If the bleeding is heavy, pack some extra pads.

If you are able, please try to relax and put your feet up.

Sending you good wishes x

Thank you browneyesblue for now been told to take parecetamol and try take a nap, apparently out epau is only open til 4pm but I'm sure if I had problems later there must be somewhere at hospital that can deal with me thanks again

How are you today Blueberry?
