Miscarriage/pregnancy loss

Still bleeding five weeks later :(

Started miscarriage on the 4th Feb. ( it was a MMC at 5-6 weeks but I had carried until about 9 weeks). Wasn't offered medical management or surgical management, just natural.

I'm still bleeding quite heavily (wearing night pads):(. EPAC not interested as my HPT is negative so I went to see the GP who advised that it will sort itself out but took some bloods to check for anaemia. Well I guess most things do eventually sort themselves out but I'm just so fed up and want to get back into the next cycle. It's fresh blood that I'm bleeding now so I'm not sure if that's a better or worse sign. On a more positive note my skin is clearing up (was really terrible and spotty after the mc)

Poor you. It's Shit having a miscarriage, and horrid having the bleeding going on and on to remind you.

I had this after a miscarriage at 15 weeks. They rescanned me at about 6 weeks, found some thickening of the womb lining that might have been retained clots and booked me in a few days later for a suction (done under local in the epu).

I'd ask to be re scanned.

Good luck xxx

Thank you for your reply antidote. I have a consultant appointment in a couple of weeks so I will mention it at that. Did you stop bleeding quickly after you had the suction done?

Yes, almost overnight. The suction procedure itself was not very pleasant but much better than the relentless bleeding.

Just on a positive note, I left it 6 months (for various reasons), got pregnant first shot and now have a very cuddly 6 month old girl.

Thank you
Amazingly I think I have stopped!
Hooray, hopefully this is everything getting back to normal.
