Chemical pregnancy blood loss

Hi, Ive previously posted about a possible chemical pregnancy and just wondered if someone could help re the bleeding?

It started yesterday and got pretty heavy alongside a few cramps. Today has dwindled down and nearly stopped with no pain. Will that be it? Or will it stop/start again?

I was only 4+4 so very early days but never experienced a mc and unsure what to expect and when we can ttc again.

Oh Lucy Sad. I was just looking for you to thank you for the tests. I'm so sorry this is happening. It may not be a mc though, scary though it is - plenty of women get a bleed at around 4-5 weeks and it's not bad news for all of them. Fingers crossed things will be ok for you. Can you test in a couple of days perhaps? x

Try not to be gutted just yet - hopefully it's nothing more than a scare. I'm not sure if it's 'worth' going to GP/A&E so early on, but does no harm I suppose? Have you spoken to anyone at your surgery to see what they'd recommend?

Thanks Smile. Tbh, I'm a little scared too... I checked my cervix earlier and there was a tiny amount of blood. Tiny, nothing really, but I've got lower back pain too and AF is due tomorrow. Really scared she'll turn up. Hoping the back pain is just typical early pg, but terrified it might be AF coming. Please no!

Hi Lucy I had an early miscarriage last month - I was on the September bus, was between 5-6 weeks (closer to 5). I bled really heavily for 9 days with a fair amount of clotting for the first 3/4 along with cramps.
When did you POAS? What makes you think your having a chemical? You could just be spotting if it's so little & still be pregnant. If youv had a BFP abd then bleeding you can go to your local EPU they will make you POAS, and well with me anyway I got an internal scan as by that point my test wad faintly positive, then I had a blood test & was told to return 2days later. If hormone levels halved they confirm miscarriage/chemical of they have doubled you are still pregnant. I felt silly going in as I got my BFP 3 days before bleeding & wasn't 100% if it was a BFP. My EPU were lovely & said if youv had a BFP even a faint one then you get bleeding to ALWAYS go in & get checked out.
Also for your medical records, if you were to have 3 MC they investigate, I was also told if/when I become pregnant again they will scan me at 6 weeks to make sure pregnancy is viable.

Hope that helps and really hope your just spotting.

Good Luck
Hayley xx

Ps with regards to trying again, I was told whenever I feel emotionally and psychically ready it's perfectly safe to start trying ASAP

Oh Raraz how is everything today? I had the same backache and AF cramps so stay positive :)

Hayley - thankyou for posting on my thread, and sorry for your loss too. I'm only assuming I've had a chemical pregnancy, poas on date AF was due, got 1-2 weeks pregnant, had sex 4 days later and it started bleeding. Pretty heavy with slight cramps for 1.5 days and dwindled down to nothing now. No obvious clots, a couple of teeny (size of a ant?!)

When it started I rang GP and he said wait and see how it goes as too early for scan, I have to poas Friday (a full week later) and see what it says. If still positive he would arrange a scan but if not he said it's probably gone.

I just don't know about the amount of blood I've lost, it was quite a lot but I expected it to last longer. It was more than spotting which I've had in another pregnancy so I am thinking it's finished, it's just not knowing.

X

Don't give up hope! With my DD I bled 4 weeks. It was much heavier than a period. Sorry for TMI but blood litterally poured out when I stood up. I was convinced it was over, but Dd is now 3! The bleeding lasted nearly two weeks. I went to a&e and got a scan at epu. It showed a sack of blood next to baby.
Stay positive

Stay strong, Lucy. Could you present at EPAC anyway, despite what your GP says? They might be able to do your bloods and give you an answer a bit earlier... Flowers

Yeah Im trying to stay positive...probably could go to EPU but hubbie has car all week at work so I will wait. At least it should be pretty accurate by friday if hormones are dropping now.

Have everything crossed for you!

Ok. Have you anything to occupy yourself with and make time go quicker? I know it won't help as such and you're still going to be very worried, but the quicker Friday comes and you get your answer, the better I think... Got everything crossed for you.
