Miscarriage/pregnancy loss

'Poorly vascularised placenta' - anyone?

I lost my little boy at 17 weeks pregnant. We decided against having a post mortum but had swabs taken of baby, placenta tested and I had blood tests done.

I had my 6 week post delivery check yesterday with the consultant and bloods and swabs have come back negative of any infections but she said the placenta was poorly vascularised. She couldn't elaborate on this any more or say whether that caused him to die.

Ive had a Google but can't find much of any use.

Just wondered if anyone else has heard of it?

So sorry for you loss Sad. I have no experience I'm afraid but the term means poor blood supply. Don't know why that that would occur though.

Sending hugs x
